    Double Tar Patch

Yea but what I mean is: can we stack it for 15-20 secs?

    Double Tar Patch

How much bonus recharge you need and for how long can you stack 2 Tar Patches? Need to know this before I decide between a Sonic/Dark and Sonic/Rad :P
  3. You know you're God-Like when you play a Scrapper.

    Fixed that for you lot.
  4. I won't get Bonfire. Flashfire and Thunderclap should be enough to keep me safe while Tornado, Fire Cages, Hotfeet, Imps and LS do the killing job. About the IO sets, I guess I'll be focusing on EndRecovery and some recharge goodness. Haven't decided it yet

Thanks for all the input guys.
  5. Count me in. Anxiety Disorder (35 Dark/Dark fender) or Captain Stormbringer (L40 Grav/Storm). Pick one

    Aoa CARNAGE!!!!

Stop luring him to go to another AT already :P Go Fire/Fire or Elec/Fire - I'm sure you'll have good fun.
  7. Yes, I'm aware about the repel. So if I keep spamming Fire Cages the mobs won't get kb, right? Good stuff. Thanks for reply Spirit.
  8. Ok, I know Fire Cages and Ring of Fire prevent knockback. My question is how long does the -kb effect lasts? 'til the immobilize wears off, or after a few seconds? Thanks.
  9. I think I would replace a few Gift of the Ancients for LotGs for some extra recharge bonus. I mean, my Spines/SR doesn't have travel power either and I run hella fast without any GotA's in it. I might get one or two tho.

Also, why don't you place a 6th Red Fortune on your SR toggles for Range defence? You hitting soft cap without them?

    A Little Request

Unless he wanted to buy it cheaper from a relatively noob player. I hope I'm wrong tho
  11. Burn + Ice Patch works fine. It's not as awesome as you might want it to be, but it works fine. Ice Melee does indeed need more loving and atention from the devs. It's been debated over and over again in several posts, but devs seem to overlook it.

Me, I've always seen FA Tankers as killing machines. I'd rather build one for extreme damage by pairing FA with FM/SS/EM than relying on IcePatch+Burn combo as damage tool.
  12. Facing two groups of +3 DEs. All faceplanted but me.

*Empath* - Holy <bleep!>! I got one shot again...
    *Rad troller* - Same...
*Tanker 1* - Ok.. This is impossible. Change mission?
    *Tanker 2* - I can kill'em. Wakie pls.
*Empath* - You just died 3 times so far, Tanker 2.
*Scrapper* - Err.. Guys? D Ripper is taking them down
    *Tanker 1* - He'll die.

*Me* - Ok.. Done. I got 2 wakies. Empath and Rad, you both got rez right?
    *Empath & Rad* - Yea.
*Tanker 1* - [censored]?... Temp powers?
*Me* - Debt protection only :P
    *Empath* - He's a good scrapper.
    *Tanker 1* quits.
    *Tanker 2* - lol.. I feel ashamed... I want a Spines/SR too

Now, I did had some luck against all those DEs. Somehow I managed to get out of Fungis range and avoid those buffs/debuffs. Anyway, it was a really nice moment and probably the main reason I kept playing my Scrapper.
  13. I've always considered TA to be an awesome set. I've never played one over L18, but I've teamed with loads of TA's and they simply rock. Maybe the graphics aren't as smexy as Radiation or even DMiasma, but they can really save the day with their awesome debuff skills.

Now... Issue 11 will *finally* get us the IO (de)buff sets. This will turn TA's into incredible debuff machines. I'm just saying it... TA's invasion approaches

If you want to seriously hurt farmers/PLers, just make PI a lv40+ zone

    [/ QUOTE ]

That wouldn't hurt much. Grab a L39, exemp a L50 Fire/Kin, go to Founders/Bricks and problem solved. Yea, you would miss the Epics, but still you could do it nicely.

I'm not totally against PL/farm. I am against those newbies (as for new players, not omfgN00bs) who are PL'ed to 50 with only 1-2 months of CoX. They never get to understand the game, or even enjoy it. Hell, I know a guy with 3 months of CoX and with 2 50's and 1 40+ and I can tell he barely knows the game.

The reason why there are so many Fire/Kins? Easy, they rock by themselves. I tried to level one myself, but I find Fire/ way too boring to play with. Now, I can tell you several other combos that can outperform Fire/Kin with some buffs. And since you're in a team when you PL, it's not hard to get those buffs.
  15. Most bubblers go for Primal Mastery and pick Power Boost so they can give powerboosted shields to their mates.

For PvP you might want to go for Psy Mastery and pick IW, giving you an excellent mez protection paired with dispersion bubble.

I don't know how often you get hit tbh, but I'm guessing Ice Mastery is a fine option. Frozen Armor provides you extra defence and Hibernate is yet another panic button.

Earth Mastery is also nice. Stone Armor gives you extra defence and Earth's Embrace boosts your HP for a while. Fissure isn't that great, imo. I had it on my earthie but ended up going for Primal Mastery.

In short, I think I would stick with Ice Mastery.

    Ice/Force Field

Soul Drain should help a bit

Anyway, trollers kick [censored]. Nuff said.
  17. Looks good. Detention Field is also a good option if you dislike either Force Bubble or Bolt. It might annoy some Scrappers but who cares. It's good to take off some nasty foe (Sapper, Sorcerer, Storm Shaman, ...) out of battle for a while.
  18. The build looks fine to me but I'd change a few things. I think you're way too worried about your survivability. Frozen Armor, Dispersion Bubble, PFF and Hibernate should keep you alive easily. There's no need to go for Aid Self imo.

I'd swap a hold for a recharge on Gravity Distortion, take off the EndReds from the Shields and place 2 extra recharges on Hibernate.

As for Wormhole, I would go with 2Acc3Rech1Dishorient or 2/2/2.

Singularity doesn't needs Accuracy at all (for PvE at least). Swap it for another Recharge and use it as a Tank if needed.
  19. Oh, and Snow Storm isn't that end heavy either. 1 or 2 EndReds will do
  20. I tried to level a Storm/Psy myself once. I might grab that toon again since I love Storm and never played Psychic Blast before. Anyway, here goes my opinion:

O2 Boost: Personally, I wouldn't slot if for heal. The heal is rubbish even fully slotted and, honestly, you'll do a better job at debuffing and damaging stuff than spamming that tiny heal (and IIRC the end cost is quite heavy). I'd slot it with 1EndRed or 1Heal (default slot that is).

Freezing Rain: Amazing. Before you put any DefDebuffs, just make sure you slot it with 3Rech and use it as soon as it is up. 3Rech2DefDebuffs1EndRed or simply 3Rech1EndRed would work fine.

Steamy Mist/Stealth/Invisibility - You can't stack SM with Stealth, I guess you know that. Since you want to be invisible, why don't you go for Hasten + Super Speed instead? Steamy Mist + SS grants you Invisibility (at least for PvE, no clue about PvP).

    Stamina: 3EndMods will do.

Hurricane: It is not THAT end heavy. 3ToHitDebuffs + 1 or 2EndRed IOs are enough imo.

Tornado: I'd slot it with 3Dmg1-2Rech1EndRed. For PvP go with Rechs and Dishorients.

Lightning Storm: I love it. The accuracy base is quite good for PvE, specially if you use it after Freezing Rain. 3Dmg3Rech or 3Dmg2Rech1EndRed

As I said, I know nothing about Psychic Blast so I'll leave it to someone else to criticize.

    aggro cap

I believe somewhere around 25 mobs would be a good adjustment. But yea, I'd love to get rid of it.

I'm not much of a PvPer but I guess Invinc can be quite useful in zone PvP. Luring your opponents close to a mob will provide you extra defence and the acc bonus is always nice. I'd drop ResEnergies and pick Invinc instead.

    [/ QUOTE ]

chose ResEnergies because of how many EM stalker/brutes r out there, need some kind of nrg defense
only power i saw that i could drop for invinc is resist physical damage (auto s/l armor) dropping that armor would make my s/l res 78% instead of 90% (cap).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yea, you're right. Didn't notice you picked RPD. I'd drop it then Unless you want it for IO bonuses.

Was good fun. And I'm up for some weekend teaming. Saturday or Sunday are both good for me.

Oh scratch that. It all depends on how good the new Harry Potter book is.

Ah, so you will join us

Only if the book is so good that he will read it in a couple hours :P (like I did with the last one).
