Ugh, another bug..

I died in a mission in Grandville and crashed to desktop when I exited to go to the hospital. Now, I crash to desktop on the Grandville loading screen any time I try to log back in as that character. I am able to log into other characters normally.

I was THIS close to beating that cheating elite boss too

(FYI - he may only be S/L if my log is correct).

Anyway, again, I was helping, so wasnt my mission, but the owner I would assume had to have completed the mission you mention above to actually get to him.
At least that makes sense to me.

So if it is bugged, it may not be global/pervasive.

After restarting the mission 3 or 4 times, the boss I needed to beat to meet the objective finally spawned in the mission. Not sure if it was a fix, or if this is an intermittent bug.

Not sure where to put this, but currently I cannot complete the Assault Malta base mission in Black Scorpion's arc. I think its the 6th mission in. The "Find Location of Quatrexion" objective cannot be met, because it either isn't spawning or isn't triggering correctly.

By the way, Malta never spawn below level 41, meaning this arc is inherantly mean if done at level 40.

I am not DCing. However, every time I exit the tower with the arch villains and step outside (near the giant Recluse statue), I encounter a severe memory leak and my framerate drops to 1 frame every 3 to 5 seconds. I can only fix this by exiting the game.

Not sure if this is should go under Thugs or Bodyguard, and it may be premature. When I'm putting my pets into Def/Follow mode, they seem to go crazy and run all over the place. I have 5 MM characters on live, and my main in CoV beta was an MM. I'm used to the quirky behavior that comes along with MM pets, but I'm seeing some particularily stupid behavior from the pets.

For instance, when I first started off in Mercy near Kalinda, I summoned a Punk and put him in Def/Follow. He proceeded to follow me for a few seconds, then started running back and forth for about 30 seconds. He then ran up to the edge of the fort wall and jumped over. He managed to make his way back up by the ramps, then proceeded to jump over again. I seen similar behavior before, but only when teamed with other MMs and the pets run off to help them. I wasn't teamed here tho, and I've never noticed a pet do that before.

I've seen the bar move upon the completion of a CoT paper mission, so I'd say yes.

No, Tarixus is absolutely, assuredly unlocked by Lore Keeper. He talked to me immediately after I got that badge. I didn't even get Soul Binder until a week after I'd completed all his missions.

His unlock hint text is simply old, from when he used to be unlocked by Weed Whacker. They haven't updated it to let you know you need a history badge yet.

Are we positive that its Marcone Capos only, and other Family with Marcone in their name don't count?

Unlockable contact Archmage Tarixus (required: Lore Keeper history badge) in Sharkhead gives you the mission badge Soul Taker. You get it in a two part mission where you, well, take the soul of a CoT mage that players on the hero side may recognize He also has a story arc, but its bugged and gives no souvenier.

I was able to do Veluta's first arc in my high 20s as well, however she has TWO arcs. She will not give you the second unless you are in the appropriate level range. And as has been mentioned, unlocking her while you are still appropriately leveled is virtually impossible. The reason for this is that Veluta and the Radio switched places as contacts late in beta. It used to be that you were just given Veluta after filling one of your other PO contact's bar up, making her relatively easy to complete, and the Radio is already level 10-15 so it was more appropriately leveled for ghost trapping. I think they were swapped for thematic reasons, but as a result Veluta now needs some serious rebalancing.

Also, Tarixus has a few oddities compared to other unlockable contacts. First off, his story arc is bugged, or is for me at least: I got no souvenier, no enhancement, and no XP/Infamy reward for completing it. Second, one of Tarixus' non-arc missions has a mission badge reward (Soul Taker). Lastly, two of his missions grant temp powers: the badge mission gives you a 15 minute temp auto power that enhances regeneration, and another gives you 10 shots of a high damage ranged Dark attack.

Thus far I haven't seen other unlockable contacts providing goodies like those.

Finally, is anybody else having problems getting the Bling badge before you hit level 30? Did you have to run with SG mode off from the moment you hit 25?

I find it somewhat perplexing that the only option for reimbursement is via fax, but if thats what I gotta do to get my GW thats what I'm gonna do. Now to find a fax machine somewhere around here that isn't broken...

I ran my stalker solo and finished all of the content given to me in Mercy(Kalinda, Mongoose) and Port Oakes(Drea, Bocor, Vendetti, Heck, Radio) including their badge and Temp item missions but I was level 10.8 and purposefully maxed my debt out between missions once I hit level 10. I also only ever defeated exactly what was required to finish the missions, going so far as escorting hostages out WITHOUT fighting the ambushes and mobs between them and the door(go Respites ). Even with that very miniscule amount of xp I almost outleveled The Radio's stuff.

Unfortunately it sounds like you STILL missed some Port Oakes content: Veluta Lunati's missions, which require you to first trap 50 or so ghosts at Fort Hades to get a badge before you can start them. I do not know what level her missions cap out at. Also, the Radio is (I believe) considered a level 10 contact, so hitting level 11 doesn't cause you to outlevel it. With one character I was nearly level 13 by the time I completed all the Radio's missions.

I've just worked a new toon up to the point of getting Bocor as a contact, after having done all the missions in Mercy, and she is just barely level 6. I'll have to find out soon if it is even possible to solo all the level 5-11 content in Port Oakes without picking up permadebt the moment I hit 10.

You only can if you've already been offered the first mission in the arc. If you haven't, then no, you can't go back and get it.

Right after I3 came out, I went to contacts with story arcs who had never even given me the first mission and that were extremely outleveled. The three or four I went to gladly offered me those arcs. I was even allowed to restart a story arc that had broken on me at the end of the second to last mission when I first did it.

Thats all CoH side though, of course. All of the CoV contacts are being extremely stingy with their story arcs.
