    Points finger at Night Widows. You can soft cap with just the powers in the set and Widows get higher scaling resists than scrappers. I can see this working on tankers.

    I just hope they dont use this expansion as an excuse to never update CoV. CoV has had the equivalent of CoH issue 1 level of content since release. I dont count the RWZ or Cimera because you are just playing sidekick to the heroes. And the 2 little arcs that villains get in Cimera hardly counts as new content. Villains still need something equal to the Hollows, Striga, and Croatoa. Correct me if I am wrong arent there still unused islands on the Rogue isles map? I think for going rogue to be a success there are going to have to equal out the content on both sides otherwise the majority of redside will just go to blueside and the blueside people will have no reasons to become villains especially since like 99% of all the villain content really isnt that all villainous (Westin Phipps is the exception to this). All I can see doing is making villains to change to heroes and use the hero content to IO them out the bring them back to redside.

    I almost wanted to sign up for gamespy just to set this guy straight about how he didnt know what the hell he was talking about. There hasnt been any "real" penalty for dying since like issue 4 or Ithink might even be before then.

    So considering the epic nerf they had on day 1 do you all think its even going to effect CoX at all? I sooner see more folks leaving there and coming back here or coming here for the first time.

    This is some what off topic but...I am looking to switch jobs soon. Most of the job postings I have seen lately have been asking for linux experience. Can you guys recommend some good books or software to help you learn linux. In addition to that I am taking a java class. The teacher is really bad and I am having a hard time understanding him due to the accent. I am also needing a book and/or software that can help me learn java. What do you recommend?

    Its working now, I think it has to do with having the max number of message per page set too high.

    For the first 2 I pick neither because I would rather have a controller. Controll+buff/debuff greater than buff/debuff and piddly little blasts.

    Blasters will still be in demand, I dont see them going anywhere, and if I couldnt find one there are always doms for the control and single target damage.

    I see tanks being wanted redside to make the RSF some what easier. I can see brutes eclipsing scrappers, as well as stalkers eclipsing scrappers in certain powersets but not all.

    Finally the rest of this post just makes my head hurt so I wont be answering the rest of them.

    On quite a few threads I am getting this 500 server error. At first I thought it might be a locked thread or something but I noticed people are still able to post because the thread moves up in the listing and the time date stamp changes. Anyone else getting this? I am using IE8 on windows 7 and vista I get the same error.

    In the old forum it would automatically go to the lastest unread post in a thread. Now I pretty much have to scroll thru a bunch of junk I have already read. Is there a way to get it to do like the old forum used to?

    Question about this? dont veats get 85% resists cap? How come the real numbers doesnt show a value for this when you move the mouse of the powers? For some reason it does the same thing for stalker SR on its passives. You dont see any value. For brutes and scrappers you see the values for each one.

    I got something similar too in my testing. I went several missions without even so much as a common recipe drop. This leads me to believe they really want us to use merits now for recipes. All I can say is buy it up while you can folks. In a few weeks **** is going to really cost alot more.

    Now that we are in open beta I wanted to ask you all what would be some good farming builds for a tanker. I was thinking wp/elec or wp/fire. I already got wp/fire now but I am not sure how much better elec would be against critters in the end game with stupidly crazy smashing lethal resists. Help me build the most survivable wp/elec or wp/fire.

    Been running Win7 64-bit RTM since it was released on MSDN. No problems what so ever. System is Phenom X4 9950, 4gb ram, GTX 260 card. I didnt even have to install sata drivers this time around. If your system worked with vista then it should install just fine so long as you dont do a dirty upgrade.

    Actually the double crit thing is really lag related. Some how the server gets behind with the data it sends to the client and it happens to be off time when its supposed to check for double crits. Everytime I have had it double crit for me there was always a red spike on the netgraph. Whats crazy is sometimes you can really leverage this on an ITF during the 3rd mission with all the hella lag. I know I have timed the hide supression as low as 3 seconds during part when you go up the hill due to the lag. We are talking like major crits here. I even sometimes get a double Assassin Strike at times. Nothing like seeing a boss go from full to almost empty in 1 hit.

    The little Marketeer with the horns and barbed tail on my right shoulder was hopping up and down screaming FLIP THEM! FLIP THEM! And while you're at it, respec out of the ones you've already slotted and SELL THOSE TOO!

    Simultaneously the little RPer in the white robe with the wings on my left shoulder was calmly saying Now, you know the rules- you made them up! No marketeering, no flipping, just selling drops!

    This is good for heroes but villains dont have arcs that give anywhere near as much. I think thats the issue I have with this whole system as a whole. Prior to the ticket cap nerf things were looking great on villians from the random roll perspective now its no where close to that. I really dont know how I can get this to work for villains.

    Yes to me it is that bad. To the point where I avoid certain content because I know its going to take alot longer than it should just because I picked a different powerset than FoTM. Seriously it needs addressing. People swear up and down that the resists of all critter factions are about even when totaled together but then they fail to realize most of the lethal resists kick in at the 40s during the time when you need your damage the most. Same deal with psionics. Thats why I dread the day we get psi melee because I know they arent going to do it right to accomadate for resistances. If they dont make the attacks psionic/smashing damage we will have all kinds of hell killing with even the simplest of stuff especially villainside.

    I have an HP Pavilion Laptop/ Windows Vista 64-bit version/ ATI HD 3200 graphics card/ AMD Turion X2
    The issue for you is the graphics card. Laptops generally dont have powerful graphics cards unless you specifically buy a gaming laptop. If your card had be say a ATI HD 3600 or higher it would run a bit better. For vide cards the 2nd number in the series determines how good it will be. Like x6xx to x9xx. Anything below a 6 in the 2nd number wont run as good. The only other suggestion I can give you is to make sure you have alot of ram. Which you should if you are running 64-bit windows.

    I hope doms get it or else we end up with more petless mastermind crap all over again. I cant wait till blasters/corrupters/defenders get dual pistols and pulse rifles because then petless masterminds can finally die off.

    For the most part I suck at creating costumes. I was looking to see if you guys and gals could help me come up with a costume for a toon I will be creating once issue 16 is here. Her back story is that she is a cow girl that worked a farm and ranch and she used to tend to all the cows and cattle on the property. Do to her exposure to so much cow manure she can now manipulate the earth. Her name will be Meadow Muffin. She will be an Earth/Earth dominator. She will be leaving the ranch to go to the big city to make a name for herself. So basically what I want to do with her costume is create the most sexy cow girl ever made. Can anyone help me with that?

    Ok then whats the smallest size map you can do as an all boss mission and get just under 750 tickets? This is kind of what I been experimenting on trying to find the optimal size map since the ticket cap is 1500.
