I finally had the time to crunch some numbers on this. For some builds I will just soft cap them as before but use the extra little bit of defense the slot gives for protection against cascade failure. The defense the slot gives as isnt enough to drop powers or move enough slots around. If ED capped its only going to give less than 7% increase if using uncommon boosts. At best its going to make it slightly cheaper where I wont need as many HOs to slot. Now once very rare gets into the picture things will get really nice.

I think the whole concept of the slot is going to be great once its here. I been thinking about alot of possible builds now that I didnt want to bother with leveling as they didnt seem to pay off even at 50. Although for my main I am not too sure as to what I want to do. Maybe do the one with resistance or maybe defense. What worries me is with my alts that are softcapped how would I go about calculating for defense. Will the defense enhancement alpha be enough to drop weave from a build? Does anyone know if you were to ED cap all the SR powers excluding elude just how much extra defense would the alpha slot give you if you werent softcapped via IOs or other powers?

You know what, we wouldnt be in this mess in the first place had they just given us account based storage like what people been asking about since day 1. Its a pain to be moving stuff around 1 item at a time. Having account storage would totally make this email thing a non issue.

Ok, gotta a response back from them. They are saying its going to take awhile due to the volume of tickets with this issue. Looks like they gonna be busy.

They ninja'ed my stuff too this morning when I checked all gone. Stuff I was gonna use had issue 19 went live this week. Do you think I can have my stuff restored before the holidays?

So whats the minimum recharge needed for perma hasten? With and without slotting it with SO?

ED was about the worst way to fix a non-problem. Inventions only cover up the stupid.
Pre-ED we did not operate in an "unchecked" system. There was a check: 200% enhancement to a Pool A attribute. ED added a secondary check on top of the original check of six slots. It hurt Blasters in ways that later had to be corrected via the Defiance changes. It all but crippled defense sets who didn't have the benefit of the critter accuracy changes then.
We all forget now, but the game sucked pretty bad in the early post-ED days. It took a number of buffs to various ATs to get us near to a good place again. ED was put in because the devs wanted to avoid having to nerf the CoV ATs as mercilessly as they did the CoH ATs. It was an overcorrection on top of the Global Defense changes in Issue 5. Were it not for my long-standing personal rule never to /ragequit, I would have been gone.
ED accomplished nothing other than breaking the game. And it took about three years for the worst of the damage to be corrected.
Stalkers initially only crit from hide and status effected mobs where as scrappers didnt have this. Stalkers still dont do the same level of damage of scrappers, eventhough they rightfully should considering what they give up for the whole hide AS setup. Doms were done the worse, horrible control durations and damage starting out. It took them making the VEATs to realize its possible to make a support AT and have them not be overpowered. For this reason I think thats what made them finally put dom damage to acceptable levels. Brutes either should have been closer to scrappers or tanks instead of putting them some where in between. They had to work for their damage with fury but cant take a hit to save their lives in non-granite. Masterminds are just what controllers should have been initially. -
Launched with Heroes/Villains at the same time as well as the rogues and side switching. I would have balanced the game in such a way there wouldnt be giant grand canyon size difference in solo speed on the ATs. I would have limited the stacking of buffing debuffing such that defenders and various support ATs would have never had to take a damage penalty for doing their jobs. Controller dom pets would come at lvl 12 instead of 32. Never implemented ED as did irreversiable harm to the overall playerbase's opinions of the developers. I could go on forever with this but I am late for class.

Its for that very reason I will never make a SR stalker. Dont forget that without that one power you also miss out on valueable debuff resistance as well. Its just better to go ninjutsu you have the heal and be easier to soft cap cuz you dont need as many powers slotted.

Trust me you dont know what bad pet AI is until you deal with Ninja/Poison for 50 levels. If you still feel mad at the bots after doing that then you might have point.

I just hope down the line with the other 9 slots they have enough foresight to make it benefit more of the ATs instead of a select few. Currently with IOs the only thing I ever slot are the +defense/resists IOs and at level 50 the chance for build up IO. All other set bonuses and such are worthless in the big scheme of things since it does nothing to help the pets.

has anyone gotten this thing to work? I clicked it on one of my characters but nothing happened. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I dont even bother with it being in my build on my controllers anymore since it doesnt work on pets anymore for the recharge portion. When I did have it I forced it on everyone whether you want it or not. Not wanting to accept speed boost is the equivalent of you intentionally wanting to slow down xp for the rest of the team.

What annoys me the most is how ninjas will run all over the place. How squishie they are, even if they are supposed to do the most melee damage they never live long on their own to do it. If I could redo ninjas I would totally get rid of all range attacks, give genin eagles claw and the new cobra strike. Jounin would get flashing steel and lotus drops, oni would get corrupter thermal shields and heals. The epic pool for masterminds would all have a gestalt power to combine like Voltron in some way. Ninjas would all commit suppa ku and their souls absorb into the Oni and form Onimusha. Would last for 10 minutes with a 30 minute recharge. The solution to buffing Stalkers and making them valuable is to improve their potency on a single target. Assassin Strike should do percentage damage on EB's and Heroes. 7-10% health on a Hero NPC modified by resistance buffs/debuffs would be welcomed and would encourage stalkers more to use placate and AS more while fighting harder content. Having a stalker on a TF should be useful and the only way they are going to remain unique and remain useful is to focus on their strengths. Currently when you AS a Hero you don't even see their health bar move. It's pathetic. TF leaders should be actively looking for a Stalker to help gank harder Heroes quicker. -

Its possible to do it all but you have to very vigilent about doing just the bare minimum to finish a mission. I did all the loyalist arcs on my scrapper. Gonna try it with the resistance on my stalker to see if I can manage. Also on the missions where you get helper npcs what I do is leave them at the door or get them killed so their arent killing stuff giving you more xp. If you run into a point where you over do it and need xp to get to the next level I recommend badge hunting to fill in what xp you need.

Still lovin' my Elec/Rad. "Anchor management" isn't much of a problem, since I put the debuffs on the guy under my control who is most likely to survive longest. With the Gremlins slotted for some damage, playing solo is more feasible but still not fast. -

This thread is interesting in how the devs see things versus how things actually are or how we see things in regular play. I just find it odd that Castle would see that aggro is one of our problems when practically every thread about stalker issues since issue 6 has had something to do with either not enough aoe damage or other team contributions. Never had I seen aggro be an issues. We have had a few folks to complain about hit points but to me thats pointless to ask for. What can 1 shot you at stalker level health can just as well 1 shot you at scrapper level health. Its not like we can ask for tanker level health so the asking for more HP just needs to stop because it does absolutely nothing for us in PVE. The only disparity I see is really defense versus resistance sets but there isnt much that can be done to fix that.

Having a niche role with not much content that allows us to leverage that niche, and performing worse at that niche than other ATs is the problem.
I think the team buff range needs to change and the fear effect changed to such that it radiates from the caster, aggro isnt the issue cuz they already will be aggroed on us anyways. If there are pvp concerns then make it where it doesnt effect players. -
One thing that I recently sort of fell in love with is the crunch over kill damage that broadsword does. Nothing pleases me more than just 1 shotting missions especially if you can manage to line up 3 to 5 of them and crit kill them all. Its like pure joygasm (if thats even a word), thats really the best way to describe it. Are there any other primary with secondary combo that kills fast like this in 1 hit that doesnt have insane recharge?

I tried pairing KM with regen. Previously I had given up on regen due to the squishieness of the set compared to what it was back in the glory days or even before issue 5. I was hoping with this combo the -dam aspect of KM would help on the squishienss. Does -dam on a critter translate into +resistance for you? Thats really what I hope for because so far KM has been extremely meh on damage. Yes I do have power siphon but it doesnt last long enough to make a true impact on combat. What worries me is that once I start slotting SO level enhancements its just going to dilute noticeable effect of the minor damage buff this power is giving. People have been saying it can give up to 150% damage but it sure as hell doesnt feel like it even when you get it to 5 stacked up. My goal is to eventually do a Km/Shield but I gotta save up enogh merits for the pvp IO so I can get more defense.

Quick question when did this 100k thing happen is it a patch we just got or its been a while? I am pretty sure I never got this 100k on character thats for sure.
