  1. I would replace Electric Blast on the minions with Electric Assault, or preferably Energy assault. -End Mod powers are REALLY annoying for players to deal with. Also, the Defiance bonus on blaster sets is a pain in the backside.

    Auto-SK

If all custom enemies, the level range is 1-54. So no SKing. You need to add a few normal enemies to reduce the level range, which with cause auto-SKing.
  3. I should probably go dig up that thing on common usage doctrine and hit somebody with it. They aren't allowed to lay claim to words.
  4. Herding instead of Steamrolling. When being a tanker with Burn meant you were hell on wheels. Hasten was a way of life, and people didn't like dying and getting debt.

When you actually did missions before lvl 10.
When people asked for directions to stores.
When Atlas Park was the lolRP zone.

When you stood around after a mission and traded enhancements with your teammates.

When the Hollows was new, horrible, and had that freakin' 8-man taskforce that I completed exactly 2 out of 23 tries.
  5. Only Ninjutsu has stealth, since the other stalker sets actually give you the scrapper powerset choices (AKA no stealth).

    Don't use it. Is bad.

I would think that an ally with Robotics powers would do the trick.

Allied masterminds can rapidly produce lots of bodies for a nice visual effect without really providing that much support. A useful combination.
  7. Electrical powers are not thematic, just annoying.

Hostages on one of the small office maps can rescue themselves somehow. Not sure how this worked, I loaded the mish and got "Mission Complete!" inside five seconds. Never ever got to the floor with the hostage.

Blaster powers give enemies Defiance. /Ninjutsu gives enemies double damage or something. AR/Nin minions make being a Dom very, very unfun.

On the flip side, LTs with Empathy as a secondary make being a Dom (with Confuse) rather amusing.
  8. We need some new powersets. I personally suggest:

Thump: Hit someone with a blunt object. Lacking force or skill, this does smashing damage, but no disorient effects

Shank: Stab someone with a smallish blade. Lacking any particular qualities or skill, this does lethal damage, but no secondary effect.

Pow: Punches ineffectually. Smashing damage. Again, no disorient, and not the artsy kicks of MA.

Bang: Carries a firearm less brutal than the Frankengun. The existing mobs are notorious for having rifle, pistol, shotgun, and SMG/AR-toting minion or LT types; why can't we?

Essentially, MA enemies have about two or three times as many attacks as their normal counterparts, and seem to hit harder with them. This makes them a lot tougher than normal mobs.

Search "The Emerald Chesticles of DOOOM!"

Pink Flamingoes meets Escape from New York meets Plan 9.

Coincidentally, Badstorm, your LTs with Radiation Emission floored my Brute's Acc, making it impossible for him to kill them due to running out of END while they continued to heal themselves.
  10. Whoever gives their minions Spines as a powerset needs to test more. I got hit for 200 by a spines/(Stalker) minion. I have 726 hitpoints as a lvl 20 Brute, and 20% lethal resist.

    What's the deal?

Yeah, my suicide combo was minions with Electric Assault/Devices and LTs with Electric Blast/Trick Arrow. Blind, immob, -recharge, and craploads of -End.

Immob stacked high enough to work combined with -End makes a Brute very, very sad. Glad I tested that before I released it, though I only had to test it once.
  12. Do NOT use the Recluse's Victory map (or whatever the alternate reality TF map with the Recluse Statue in Atlas is called) for a "Defeat All" mission.

And then populate it with custom AVs you didn't mention in the description.

The only short thing about that mission was how long my team played it.
  13. I've never gotten a comment to say thank you to... *cries*

Although I'd like to see a response after I leave feedback. You spent (hopefully) a bit of time making the mission, I've put in more time playing it, and after that, it'd be nice to see us both rewarded by having the final product the best thing it can be.
  14. Be careful with the healing. It makes fights difficult until people realize what's going on.

That's a good map. Especially if you've written an atmospheric spooky story. It does get used a lot, but if it fits, put it in!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not as much as that gorram boat, though.
  16. If memory serves, Willpower on the low setting gives out very little in the way of defense on a minion.

    What's the deal?

It's a failure to realize what four minions with mez powers are capable of. My Brute, with mez protection up, has gotten chain-held numerous times running missions solo.
  18. My high level Dom I use for most designing has the +Stealth IO in Combat Jumping, so I sort of get by using that instead.

Being an adherent to old-school writer ethics, I never make anything publicly available that I haven't done my best with.

Relevant here? Not really, more of an old habit.

    /signed...twice...thrice...infinity.

No way would I put something out there unless I knew it was "ready".

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm hoping that the system balances into one of quality and reputation being rewarded, that a player who makes good arcs will get his/her other arcs played.
  20. Very clever idea. I commend you, sir.

As for the proposal MA, I'll need to try that some time.
  21. I just see it as another option to mess around with. I alternatively run my alts solo, on radio teams, do TFs, etc. Now I can add MA material into the rotation. Will I ignore everything else? No, especially as low-level material seems a little broken. But I will be sure to take advantage of it at times.

    Soloing myself

    [ QUOTE ]
but in order for me to beat myeslf, i had to use every trick in the book, including taking myself from behind... Once I was on my back I was easy.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh, I'll bet you were easy.

I tried running my AR/Storm Corr against himself. It basically came down to who got the most powers off first. Usually me, since I have Hasten and he didn't, so I could play with Ignite Madness and he couldn't.

There's no shame in fessing up to stuff you've done yourself in the MA. It's still relevant to the thread IMO

    [/ QUOTE ]
Well, under the "Previous Name That Shall Not Be Named," it made more sense than with the "awful arc" title. I haven't published anything yet; not enough experimenting. Strangely obsessive about perfecting my missions first. Therefore, there's no shame at all, and even if there was, I still wouldn't have any.

Though this might bear mentioning: Your in-the-works missions that aren't published are on your computer, NOT your account.

And another piece of advice, culled from a couple of MA missions I've played: Take it easy on the MM-powered characters. Seriously, it's really annoying for slow folks (I'm talking about their connections or PCs, not the folks themselves) to get laggy because you gave your LTs Gang War.
  25. To promptly derail this thread by discussing stupid things I've done in the MA-

If you run Doms/Controllers against blaster-type enemies in the MA, be prepared for a rude surprise. My Earth/Psi Dom nearly got rolled when I held an LT only to be promptly shot in the face despite having fossilize double-stacked on him.
