I'd define casual as "without planning". Casual players hop in and do stuff - they don't plan out when to play and what to do. They just do whatever.

I think I might have two or three characters with Hasten, but I usually forget it's there and never use it.
I have experimented with various "perma" builds in Mids, but never implemented one in game. -
It's a couple health/sec for my non-Willpower Brute, which is somewhat significant. Thanks to procs and set bonuses, my Shield Brute regens about 30 health/sec, which means less healing needed in combat.

Doctor Carnage - Lots of other "Doctor <Calamity>" type names were taken (including Doctor Calamity), but not Doctor Carnage.

Quote:You're better off going to x8 than +4; your pets are going to be 1 or 2 levels lower than you, so the purple patch hits them harder than usual. Can this build meet the spec of increased difficulty of x8, +4 or some mix of the two without slowing to a crawl?
But Bots/Traps can definitely handle x8 with no problem. Take Trip Mine at level 35 if you feel things aren't going fast enough, and then start toe-bombing (running into the fray and dropping Trip Mines.) -
Revamps of blue-side might make me actually play blue-side. Revamps are new content.
-
They should revamp the old blue-side TFs, like they did for Posi.
And every time they revamp a blue TF, they can add a new red SF. -
I might go back to MUSHing.

Quote:I'd much prefer the devs stop balancing rewards to punish you for going fast (which also punishes me for going slow, as I get less rewards per time played.)So people should run content in ways they don't enjoy to appease you?
In this one regard, I really like Apex and Tin Mage. TFs should have a merit-worth based on difficulty, and time should not be a factor in the slightest. -
If they didn't balance TF rewards based off your playstyle, I really wouldn't care how you play. How you play, however, directly affects the rewards I get out of Task Forces, which makes it an issue.

Quote:I was always under the impression that CoX sort of was your "work" now, Steelclaw.Man.. I play CoX at work all the time! And surf the forums too! I never even have to worry about anyone walking in on me or anythi....
Oh... wait... I don't have to work anymore...
Oops... carry on...
A labour of love, obviously, but you seem to approach it a little bit from that standpoint. -
Quote:If I made the decisions, Mission Fail would equal Task Force Fail. This would serve dual purpose of making the developers carefully consider the challenges presented and the risk of failure, and make players less apt to exploit (and I consider failing a mission purposefully to speed up the task force an exploit) the system for better rewards.I have, for example, left Lady Grey task forces when someone deliberately gets Penny killed, after telling them, of course, "If you do that, I'm leaving."
I got a LGTF together Monday night (no one would take me as I was on my Brute, so I had to lead it myself), specifically advertising a "slow run". Everyone seemed to have great fun (in the final room, I charged forward while the Tank was saying "pulling AV", then someone else said "Or we could just aggro the whole room"; things seemed to go pretty well - as I said, "We can take it!" (and we did.)) We rescued Penny, rescued Inferna and Glacia, stomped Hami and stomped Hro'Dotz and Honoree. I couldn't imagine doing things any other way, even though it meant having to endure a two hour play session (I logged off shortly after it finished.)
But I'm a tortoise. Slow and steady is how I go. -

Earthquake has a massive defence debuff. Ask SR users if it doesn't work, though; it does.

Quote:Convince them that you need to upgrade to Windows 7, and that Aero really doesn't run very well without a dedicated graphics card. You can tell them I said so (I'm IT at my work.)If I could think of a way to convince IT that my work pc really really needs a gaming capable graphics card... hmm, not going to happen sadly.
I probably do between 25% and 33% of my playing while at work. I work the help desk, so I often have downtime between calls. When I'm not using the downtime on forums, I'm usually playing games I can step away from on short notice. This is why I a) solo and b) play Tankers, Masterminds, and other "indestructible" characters. -
Non-Incarnate Praetorian stuff would qualify under the criteria I set for wanting other information.
-
Were you playing a Mastermind, Controller, or Dominator? Did your pets do a lot of the fighting for you?
The events don't count the participation of your pets because someone at Paragon Studios decided powersets that rely on pets don't count. -

This is Ragetear, a ghost character I made several years ago (but rarely play). Perhaps only female models get the options, but there's definitely the option for torn clothes with skin showing for them.
I think the option has a place here; City of Heroes definitely has a darker side to it (as the Rogue Isles attest.) -
