got shafted, what more is there to do?

ran the great escape solo with my BS/SD scrapper the other day. not another soul was around...

I defeated the 30 ghouls outside
I defeated the 30 ghouls outside the door
I defeated the 5+30 ghouls inside the door
and I defeated Lucas

I did not get the tantrum emote as an option

the GMs said I did not participate enough

so how do you get over 100% participation?

I have done it solo in the past (claws scrapper and SoA) both got the emote...

Im actually a bit upset about this as they wouldnt give me a straight answer.

Make sure you /bug it as well as /petition it.

Don't have any other advice, sorry.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

I did the /petition thing (twice now) ran it again, mostly solo, still no emote option, not going to keep wasting my time if it isn't attainable with this character. will try one more time then /bug it if it fails

I'm going off of memory here, but I know there is at least one stage where you not only have to defeat the Ghouls, but have to defend the PPD (or at least keep a certain number of them alive).

This isn't always as easy as it sounds, as the PPD tend to be minion rank facing multiple minions and LTs.

You probably have to beat a time goal, too. The one time I soloed and didn't get the top tier reward was when I got defeated once.

Were you playing a Mastermind, Controller, or Dominator? Did your pets do a lot of the fighting for you?

The events don't count the participation of your pets because someone at Paragon Studios decided powersets that rely on pets don't count.

The Powers team responded that their datamining indicates that's not the case.

But, I'm doubtful. I wish they would 'Real Numbers' this and tell us how the reward system is supposed to work so that it can be tested.

May be the case for Controllers and Dominators (with uncontrolled pets) but is just dandy for Masterminds - simply issue the "Attack" command for everything you're fighting and you're good (have been able to do all the Praetorian Events and get the top tier rewards, solo and on teams)

And for Dominators/Controllers you have a lot of powers/damage sources that are not pet-centric (with the possible exception of Illusion).

Edit: As Shield Charge uses a pseudo-pet for it's damage and may be affected by the "uncontrolled pets" issue, try relying on your Broadsword attacks instead.

There's two versions of the event; one for each emote. Are you sure you did the right version? One starts by attacking a ghoul; the other starts by attacking an officer

Just a farfetched possibility, but it happened to me -
the emote didn't work when I had ninja run toggled on.
When I turned it off, voila! Tantrum!

I've been testing the reward system off and on with my level 50 bots/traps mastermind. As far as I can tell, nothing I do affects the reward table I get. If I run no toggles, activate no powers, issue no commands, and never target anything, I get the full reward table. If I play the event as if it were a +4/x8 mission, I get the full reward table. I get the full reward table if I do anything in between, as well.

I was running a Broadsword shield scrapper, I had not gotten shield charge yet. (and ninja run was not on, just battle agility, against all odds, deflection, combat jumping, tough & weave

As for the PPD & Time limits:
all 3 stages were completed in the allotted time and only 3 of the 10 PPD died in stage one, if they hadn't been all died I wouldnt have been given any reward options, the event would have just been over, and Ive had that happen plenty of times, but that's not a complain.

UPDATE: Tried one more time before the maint window (so I could report a bug if need be). I got the emote this time and the ONLY thing I did differently was take out the ghoul just inside the big door that does not count towards the 5 (I dont know if he was taken out in my last run when the guy bailed on me) so maybe he is a key?

wont ever run in that event again...

I think I've run this event 3 or 4 times on different characters and got the reward table each time. Yes there are a couple key bad guys to kill, but it seemed pretty obvious to me. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.
