I don't understand. Why would a local municipal authority have "National" in its title?
-
At this point, it's a "Do as we say, not as we do" thing, with regard to BaBs and the Phalanx. Which is like a lot of this game.
-
Wow, kinda disappointed with Positron's godlike ascent. Also, disappointed with the whole, "Be Positron's Lackey" feel coming off the video. Weird.

It has already been stated that the set is more or less finalized.

Quote:Anyone can upgrade their account to Tier 9 VIP and purchase these. These costume sets should be made as purchasable costume pack on the Paragon Market and not gated through a gambling system or rewards program. Their marketing strategy is exactly why I unsubscribed and I will continue to play for free until they bring some equity to the player base with what is available in the market and the cost of these items as well.

Quote:But they'd be consistent with their inconsistency.Even if it were an exploit, and thus, bypassing the patch notes; it still goes against the stated principle that they would announce the closing of the exploit after it goes live.
If this was an intended change, then Paragon Studios dropped the ball *again* in the Patch Notes process and violated their own stated operating procedure. -
Quote:You joined the boards in '05--is that when you joined the game? They've released pay for costumes in the past, but you had to buy them at a regular store and you had to buy all of it, and you could not preview it.
But with the Paragon Market you see the pieces in the costume creator, use them for design - and can then buy them when you see a need for them. And you can buy in bulk or just the pieces you need. And you can do it in game.
This is 98.5% better than before (would be 100% better except for ED).
The only complaint I have about the market is that in the market it shows me stuff I have already purchased, but the costume creator has stuff unlocked so I just go by that.
Because that would mean you've been with ED for more than six years, and without it for less than six months. Perspective. -
Quote:This^^^^.They've already considered the subject. They've given answers as you pointed out in your post. And these answers were recent answsers, not something answered years ago.
Just because you disagree with their answer doesn't mean that they haven't considered it and already answered it.
Also, this isn't an open letter, it's a petition, and that is generally considered to be a no-no. -
Quote:A quick check of the changelogs for both sites (ugh, I know) indicates that the Paragon Wiki was updated moments ago, and the craptacular virus and RMT-filled bad place was updated...hrm. The changelog isn't working. But the front page news message is dated April of 2009.Yeah, I've been reading the Paragon Wiki. Sometimes it's more outdated than the wikia.com one though.
If you're concerned with some information, ask. We can check for you, and even let the right people know that something needs fixing--after all, this is made by the players. -
Quote:Exactly. The one thing I did not care for was Irene getting fridged. She was too good a character to be thrown away so casually. I know some people are playing up the ambiguity of her death (technically we only hear Moriarity's account of it), but I can't imagine that he had her in his clutches and let her slip away, or that if he was holding her as a hostage he wouldn't have used her as leverage against Holmes. Her death isn't a certainty but it's the way to bet; I think any attempt to use her in a subsequent film would be not very credible.

They've never said anything like this before. ****.
You're aware that the mods don't have to follow the forum TOS and, historically, they often remind us of this? -
I get a weekly call, on Thursdays, asking if my house is the Polish Sharpshooters. Does that count?
-
I don't know if this is still possible, but I used to be able to score crits on my Defender with Soul Drain.
-
You can't. You can bust ingredients down, but not actual "powers."
-
Honestly, there is absolutely nothing scheduled. It can't be. For what it's worth, we'll probably see an I22 beta in a few weeks...and maybe even the CCG going live soon...but that's it.

Nice work, mods. You recognized this as a deliberate troll thread while it was in PvP, but instead of locking or deleting it, you deliberately pooper-scoopered it into Comics and Hero/Villain Culture.
We know you hate this place, but at least follow your own rules beca-- Wow, I almost got "follow the rules" out with a straight face. Sorry. -
Quote:Both of the above^^^. He has his own special fighting style of martial arts, and after A Scandal in Bohemia, Holmes accepts Adler's autographed picture in lieu of payment from the king. It's suggested that he keeps it close to him. Whether as a memento to the time someone outright outwitted him, or for other more romantic reasons is purely an interpretation of the reader. And as such, she's been interpreted that way rather a lot.Holmes is an accomplished boxer and a master of a particular martial art in the books. I believe he's supposed to be a decent fencer and handy with a pistol as well.
Irene Adler plays a major role in the story she's in, wherein it's intimated that she leaves a lasting impression on Holmes, at least.
EDIT: Forgot--Holmes was known to refer to her as "The Woman."
Quote:To Sherlock Holmes she is always the woman. I have seldom heard him mention her under any other name. In his eyes she eclipses and predominates the whole of her sex. It was not that he felt any emotion akin to love for Irene Adler. All emotions, and that one particularly, were abhorrent to his cold, precise but admirably balanced mind. He was, I take it, the most perfect reasoning and observing machine that the world has seen, but as a lover he would have placed himself in a false position. He never spoke of the softer passions, save with a gibe and a sneer. They were admirable things for the observer — excellent for drawing the veil from men's motives and actions. But for the trained reasoner to admit such intrusions into his own delicate and finely adjusted temperament was to introduce a distracting factor which might throw a doubt upon all his mental results. Grit in a sensitive instrument, or a crack in one of his own high-power lenses, would not be more disturbing than a strong emotion in a nature such as his. And yet there was but one woman to him, and that woman was the late Irene Adler, of dubious and questionable memory. -
