Is there a way to break down an incarnate power?

I see in the interface you can break down the components but I do not see where you could do this to the power to recover shards and such.

You can't. You can bust ingredients down, but not actual "powers."

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

I would welcome this ability. Imagine my surprise when I crafted my first Lore pet, polar lights, believing them to be the storm elementals ...

The design intent is to have players build multiple powers/trees. There is no expectation by the developers to allow a player to break down an already made Incarnate Power.

This is the final word and is correct.

Devs need to check with players a bit more often about what our expectations are and not rely on what they "think" they might be because in doing so they are ALWAYS going to be wrong at some level.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

I haven't created the Lore power for storm elementals, so I'm not sure how they perform. But, I have had Polar Lights for quite some time, and, well, they kick bottom. I think you'll be happy with them.

Q. Just wondering Posi, where are the new dance emotes we were told would come with GR?

I feel your pain. Deconstructing or even just sidegrading the incarnate powers would be nice especially when new ones are added.

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

Heck as a case in point there was a time (and perhaps they still want to believe this to some degree) when the Devs assumed that players would only use travel powers while traveling in "non-combat" situations. They fully expected and intended for people to always turn off their travel powers while in combat. This is why powers like Fly used to have -ACC penalties and large END costs because they seriously wanted to "encourage" people not to use them while fighting. Even now the main purpose of Travel Suppression today is their last ditch effort to try to make fighting with travel powers on just annoying enough to make us not want to do it.

This was a clear example of the Devs trying to shoehorn a play style over top of their players' general desires. *shrugs*

Who said the devs thought it our expectation?

This is an end game system - and it's not one where you are (without breakdown or respec) locked forever into a choice.

I personally never expected them to allow breakdown of the crafted powers. Nor do I now.

It was for PvE too. I won't claim they were great shakes as "exploits" go, but you could pretty easily speed past stuff and mow it all down with something like Full Auto from a range that was so far out, mobs would not respond to it. I think they were trying to address several things at the same time when they changed it.

He said. He is not alone as several people here and many in game have asked for this option. There are "other" options to break things down within the incarnate system, not having this as one is ...I guess an oversight....your individual desires notwithstanding.

Nah, just make new ones, then you can swap them out as needed... or were you looking for a cheap and easy way to get away with not having to work for different ones?

Same. They're not impressive or flashy -- in fact most people won't even realize you have pets out. I've had players wonder where the Peacebringer is, they see the blasting but not who's doing it. But if you've ever done the Winter Lord trial and been blasted relentlessly by these things, well, that's why I wanted them as pets. ^_^
