I do wish that there was a taunt in scrapper's version of Blazing Aura

Yeah, have to concur, it is probably the mobs...I have a EM/SD scrapper that I am leveling doing +3/X8, solo using mainly IOs (I think the only non standard IO is Steadfast +3) and I am having very little problems even against the weapon wielding ones (Council, Battlemaiden, etc)

Indeed...electric is probably the weakest of all brute primaries. Please disregard any evidence disputing my statement. I am the great Oz and I have spoken.

I had considered a widow for River, but I wanted to start the character in Praetoria, because maybe its me but the whole..we are doing this for your own good, attitude that the Alliance seems to reek of, seems to fit in with Loyalist side. I could see Cole, or any of his comrades creating a super assassin (heck a prettier Noble Savage), and widows are sorta not allowed over there for some reason. But yes a widow would do a good job just over look the spiky hands and the dart launchers could be the times when she pulled out a pistol..

When my wife decides to play on my account and her home server (triumph) has no character slots available...

laughs..my wife who is an uber empath cut her teeth supporting all scrapper but me teams back in dah days so whenever she joins teams I am on..I tell people shes an ichiban empath, so if you die its your fault

agrees..would love to have a pistol scrapper set for that reason or even a mix of martial art weapons and open hand attacks in a set

I am leaning towards DB (wish they had the rusty blade, like the katana has) for costume ideas..

The other day, I was rewatching the movie Serenity. Became fascinated by River Tam, and thought thats a cool idea for a CoH character and would fit well as a Praetorian. However, I am torn what do I make her as...I figured a scrapper or a brute..but should I make her a MA or a DB scrapper or brute..and then as a secondary I am stuck between will power and super reflexes...So I would like to know what other fans of a TV show that died before its time, would choose if they were going to make a River Tam character (or any other character from Firefly/serenity)

Or if you want all the fun and not all the squishiness of a fire/fire blaster..then fire/fire dominator..(not as easy to play as some of the dom combos but you get most the powers of fire/fire and the plus of having holds..and mez protection esp. if you build for perma)

COngrats!!! Now I have to wonder and if someone has done it, then please forgive my ignorance but with the side switching with Going Rogue has, or even can it be done, soloed STF with a Dominator?

I am currently leveling up a plant/fire, Hell's Half-Acre, and she is at 35. I solo mostly, and have found that mobs die very fast...Audrey isn't much of a game changing pet but I have found she makes a handy alpha sponge, added source of damage and there is something very scary when she is in the middle of a mob with carrion creepers out. I have found IMHO that plant is at least a two trick pony with seeds and the creepers.

I have an Ice/thorn dom mainly because I want to try out the ice slick and thorntrops combo. So they will finally take damage from falling down..laughs...

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this one...Elec/fire blaster...you are a walking aoe by level 10

Its very intresting to read the why people like certain sets, I notice I tend to use fire alot on my tanks (melee mainly..mainly)

I am late...and just found out today. You know this sucks..cause its my birthday, one of the most brilliant game balance tweaks (taunt with a -range put on it), the creator is taking his leave..but its my birthday...geesh...

yikes..sorry I when I said "healors" it is a joke I use with my wife because she does a heck of a lot more than just heal...and I have an empath named Healor the barbarian

This morning I was talking with my wife, who told me her latest empathy character (Disco Diva) is 6 bubbles away from 50. Out of curiosity I asked her how many 50 empathy type characters did she have...well she started counting and between defenders and controllers nine, with lots of others in their 20s and 30s etc. Now I have read a lot of negetivity about "healors", and how boring they are to play. So I asked Jen why Empathy? She said, I can always be of help no matter what the situation. Damage heal, standing around in a PvP zone clear mind the blasters, in Atlas Park chatting forting and ABing the lowbies, plus she is always on a team.
So I am curious does anyone else have this obsession not with an archtype, but with a power set, and why? I think the results might be intresting to read.

Just a little woolgathering here...I really really want to enjoy I-19, but it seems that it sorta put an end to a chapter of CoH for me. See, I remember when (yes and I chase kids out of my yard too) ..<insert random rant about how hard the old dayswere>.. I sorta took pride in making builds and play styles that could run stamina free. So I look at all characters I have that need to be respec and this is stupid I feel sad, because they are cleverly crafted "who cares" like beautiful old steam fire pumps. In away I-19 is going to spawn alot more 50s for me who will use the Alpha slots and inherent fitness....but most my 50s are going to sit because it is going to hurt to tear each one apart to make the newest and the bestest on the block....
I love I-19 but in away it is a curtain call final issue for alot of beloved level 50 characters....
