While Elec Armor is nice, Fiery Aura does significantly more damage.

i'm guessing that the sigificantly higher aoe of electric melee is to blame here.
I'm not saying fire isn't a BEAST when it comes to dmg. I'm saying that the mobs I fought in the Electric Farm died MUCH faster than the mobs I fought using the Fire Farm, thus I lvl'd him quicker.
Burn is totally awesome, and the Dmg buff you get from fire and SS is wicked awesome, but my mind is still blown at how the electric farmer does.
I must admit I have to worry about END a lot more than with my fire Farmer. (I use dark/fire and have lots of ways to fix it)

A well built ss/fire vs dark/fire...ss/fire would be a lil faster but dark also has some nice powers in the set that are a good alternative option to the millions of ss/fires running around.
Perma soul drain/hasten, 2 heals,2 +end powers is nice and midnight grasp hits hard. Just because it doesnt have footstomp doesnt make it terrible for farming.

I have a dm/fa brute that I just recently got to 50 and started farming with. And if u take pyre or mu mastery when u get to epic powers then u get another 1 or 2 aoe powers to use while u light up soul drain and fiery embrace, and when you utilize the combo the mobs just drop 3 times over 
I had an Elec/Elec Brute lvl 32 and a Dark/Fire brute lvl 35. I recently got back into playing and found I could AE farm the fire brute and PL itself. It took some getting used to, but was pretty easy.
When I found a mission for the Electric, guess what? It was easier and faster. Took me 3 days pretty regular to get to 50 from 35 on the D/FA, but the El/El got there in a day, with 3 extra levels to do. Why? I dunno.
Neither of them have anything beyond regular IO's Slotted.
PS- Here's to hoping they don't nerf it, but I'm really enjoying being able to stand amid 60 or so mobs and laugh at +2x8!!! Whatta rush! My fury bar is MMmmm Good.
PSS- AFter playing and NRG/NRG brute for years, this is deserved.
