Can't decide between Ice/Ice, Ice/Psi and Ice/Thorn
Normally, I'd rah-rah for Ice/Psy... but coloring those thorns orange to be carrots is HYSTERICAL. Go with the evil Frosty.

Aim isn't just a Tohit buff, it also increases damage by 41%. The ToHit is pretty unimpressive, especially for Thorns which debuffs defence anyway, but +dam is always good, even if it isn't as good as Build up or fiery embrace.
Power Boost is great, on Control sets which can leverage it. But Ice Control is probably one of the worse control sets for doing that.
Drain Psyche is a fantastic power, but Thorns is a better melee set overall IMO. I'm really enjoying my Ice/thorns. Your attack chain takes ages to complete though, as does Ice Assault. Psi on the other hand takes ages to get its excellent PBAOE.
So I'd personally go with Psi or Thorns, and so far I'm really enjoying Ice/Thorns as a melee domi.
I have an Ice/thorn dom mainly because I want to try out the ice slick and thorntrops combo. So they will finally take damage from falling down..laughs...

Thanks for the help. I decided to go with Ice/thorn because yes orange spines really look like carrots and it's hilarious. So my first dom, Jack Carrots is born! I really enjoy the dom playstyle so far and I think this one is definitely a keeper.

Although last time I played my early teen one I was reminded how annoying other Control types who are spam-happy with their AOE immob can be. I wouldn't mind but it was an Earth controller (albeit one who hadn't got Earthquake yet)
I do wish Ice Patch had the same sort of ToHit debuff Quake does too (and that Arctic Air gained something from Domination)
All that being said opening with Slick, Shiver and then jumping in to wreck havoc with things like Fling Thorns (best cone for a Domi that I've come across) and Skewer while Arctic Air does its thing is great
I'm trying to make a magical snowman character so all three combos fit thematically (although ice/thorn is the most hilarious as thorns are supposed to be carrots). Now, I like the huge -recharge debuff capabilities ice/ice and ice/psi offer, but from what I'm hearing the damage is rather mediocre and /thorns might be a better choice. Then, both Drain Psyche and Power Booth seem much better than Aim, especially since you can basically use a yellow insp to do pretty much the same. Any suggestions?
