Quote:I hate the way CO ties names to the global. I want to feel like a hero/villian, not an email address. While it can be hard to find some name types, I still find good names all the time on Virtue.1: free up names of unused chacters its realy hard to get a good name nowadays i litrally spend like 30 minutes trying to come up w/ something but its alwasy taken. champions online has a system where names are tied to globals i think taht would be nice to have in coh.
Quote:b. the abillity to pick up and throw stuff would be cool. u could pick up cars or telephone poles or even pedestrains lol the amt of weight u can lift would be based on ur lvl and at or somethin.
Quote:3. make fly faster srsly its slower tahn a crippled glacier u ever watch superman he flys really fast unlike the turtles in this game.
You already can set up a PvP match anywhere. They gave us the arena option in our menu. There is a reason that the PvP zones and arenas are empty. Most people don't PvP in this game. Its not that people don't know about it. Anyone that has been around since PvP was added should remember all the complaints about how people were forced into the PvP zones before they could get new missions. Adding PvP everywhere/anywhere would just piss off the largest part of the player base and spread out the already thin PvP population. If you really want to dual someone you just met on the streets, you can just set up an arena match and challenge them. Don't be surprised when they slap you on ignore and run off though. -
I wouldn't care if something like this is added, but I would never use it. I really don't want to hear the voice of the people I'm with. I get tired of how in every game I played that had voice chat, the only people I ran into seemed to think it was fun to swear every other word

I love how even the Rednames are calling rep "nothing more than a forum game."

The female tux top from the wedding pack will also do this

What always got me were the people that would leave the spawns behind then complain in broadcast that there are no presents left to click. I have an area in an out of the way spot that I always use for presents. The first one in the chain will respawn by the time I finish the set so I don't have to stop. If I don't kill the spawns, then the presents don't respawn fast enough. I get more presents if I kill everything as I go.

It works exactly as it was designed to. It shows all the players in zone that are not hidden. How is that "a command that does not work fully?" It is not a broken feature. It is not outdated. Most team leaders I know use it as well the LFT search to find people for teams.
As for hiding in a pvp zone. If I'm there for the non-pvp things in a zone, I don't want people to know I'm there. Most of the time I can get in, get want I wanted, and get out without anyone knowing I was even there. It saves headaches when I'm not there for pvp. If people don't know I was there, they can't cry that I wont fight them. -
When this happened to me, I found that the problem was with my browser. For some reason it decided to add the forums to the list of sites it blocks cookies from (happened after an update.)

Quote:2. Add a whoall-g for general, it would list all, even hidden, in total numbers, for example: Controllers: 3, Scrappers: 4, Tanks: 1, and so on. This would allow those that wish to be hidden by name to stay that way, but, it would provide more accurate information in PvP zones. Currently, and many know, the information is faulty at best, listing those who are unhidden, but allowing those hidden to stay that way.Quote:This is a bad idea. Even if something like this is added to the game, the most information it should ever list is the unhidden player names and the number of people hidden.Quote:Did you actually READ what I suggested? I said what you just said. In fact, I think many of you just read a line, freak, then slam a comment. If you read it, I say to
1. Keep the command much as is.
2. Add a detail command that just lists numbers or AT with NO names.
3. OR get rid of a command that does not do what it says it will.
Sheesh... what a schools for???
I don't see any good reason to show who is in missions or hidden in a pve zone. That would let people bother players that just want to solo.
Now drop the attitude and realize that I am not the only one that thinks this shouldn't be done. -

I like this idea, but I would have it as part of the University tutorial. I would have the last contact in the IO tutorial send you back to talk to Admissions Officer Lenk/Dean John Yu. There could be a window with a quick description of keybinds and macros with the choices "I would like to know more" or "No thanks, I already know about them" and the contact would clear. After that there could be a menu like the trainers have giving options for more information that you could read anytime you want.

The reason I don't want to see them lower the price is simple. If you cut income, you have to cut something else to keep the profits up. I hate to say it, but that would most likely mean they will have to cut back the number of people working on CoX.

Quote:ummm, no. With a spawn rate of 10%, the moment he shows, the players will take him down. That is not always the case for Eochai. I've seen people leave a zone rather than fight Eochai. The only want to get to get jack to show more is to kill Eochai.RNG issues aside though, you would think out of 14 possible zones for him to spawn in, he would be in one of them over half the time at least, but that hasn't been my experience.
The event spawns have nothing to do with the normal GM spawns. -
Merging the servers would be a very bad idea and the moment that they Devs do this, then we would know that the game was about to implode.
If all you knew was the AE farm days, then I can see why you would think the servers are empty. The PLers don't need anyone to pad their missions now days. Because of the lack of broadcast LFM, it would seem like things are bad. The reality is that it's been months or even years since it's been so easy to find teams. You just have to change your way of finding them. -
My feeling is that the moment I set a name free, I no longer have a say in what someone does with it. If I cared about a name that much, I wouldn't give it up in the first place.
-
People have been asking for this for as long as I have been playing (5 years and counting.) The fact that we don't have it already would be a good clue that the Devs don't want us to have this. It could be nice to have, but it's not needed.
-
The trick is knowing where you need to go to get back over the wall.
-
I remember a Dev saying back when I started in '05 that they didn't want people to transfer inf from toon to toon because it gave an unfair advantage to the toons with a sugar daddy lvl50. They wanted all toons to have to work their way through on their own. Of course I can't find anything about that now, so I guess we'll just have to wait for a Dev to give the reason again (if they ever will.)
-
You are not buying the rewards. You are paying to play the game. They give you the rewards for playing.
-
Quote:Also, they don't unlock when you buy the time. You have to wait and play (at least we hope you are playing)That's like saying you have to pay for your ITF runs. While it's "technically" true, it's still not like you're paying 5 bucks a run. They are free costumes, items, tailor tokens, respecs etc. as opposed to having to pay for a booster pack or a respec. They are free because we get them just for playing the game.

I'm looking forward to getting the salvage and recipe slots. That means that I can go longer without having to stop and sell. What you think is lame, I think is a very good reward.
-
When they changed the pathing rules for base building, I got the feeling that they are not going to be returning anything that has to with base raiding anytime soon. With how small the population of PvPers are, I would think that the CoP and base raids are close to the bottom of things to fix.
-
I would love this too. It would be nice to get a notice when my account is due.
Have you thought about using Paypal to pay for time? That would keep you from having to drive 30 miles. -
I think that the invasion should be something that the SG choses to start. That way smaller SGs wont be stuck watching their base get trashed because only one person is online and they are already busy with something else. It could be a good thing to have as an option on the Mission Computer. At least then the computer will have some use blueside.
