Quote:This is hilarious... I so want to try this now.Dechs, your attitude is interesting.
Fire/Fire/Weapon.
With a battle cry, "STOP, or I'll DIE at you!"
Run in, drop caltrops, burn, fireball, die, RotP, repeat.
Hmmmm.
Yep, this sounds way too fun I've gotta try it now! I'm not sure he'll make it to the epic pools before I get distracted by another shiny object but it'll be fun to find out!

I believe the rule of thumb is: one purchase per card per 24 hour period.

Does the friend have the CoV collector's edition? I have an extra box sitting around that I've never opened, I'd be happy to let you have that one. I'm heading out the door right this minute but if you'd like it I could send it to you in a couple hours from now.

Quote:I don't know, I suppose I'm just too much of a cynic. I just can't imagine any change where at least one person wasn't at home all angry or at least discontented with it.Actually, it is true. There are things that have made everyone happy. Getting rid of Jack.. introducing Global Chat... it's just that the "all some of the time" is a very rare happening.
I feel like if they sent us all free donuts someone would be upset they didn't get their favorite flavor.
I'm thrilled with a lot of the new changes but someone somewhere is bent out of shape. Luckily I get to play the game my way whatever they think! -
Quote:While I'm familiar with the quote it doesn't quite apply in game design. You can NEVER please all of the people. Ever. No matter what you do, someone will have a problem with it.You can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Self Destruct can be a handy 1 hour recharge teleport to base or hospital as well. That seems to be what I use it for the most.

I believe it's more thinking that DXP weekend should have been postponed until I17 was going live so that all the people coming back for the weekend would be able to see the new features.
Of course they could do another free activation weekend when I17 comes out... Stop looking at me like that! It could happen. :P -
Travel powers used to be a big priority in my builds, the quality of life improvement was entirely worth it.
Now that I have Ninja run available though I push it back until there are no other powers that I particularly want available at that level. -
They fixed my 18 month one on January within 2 business days. It's seems like it's popping up more frequently recently, but they do tend to get it resolved quickly so it's all good as far as I'm concerned.

Personally Dual Pistols doesn't hold much intrest for me, don't get me wrong they did a great job on it but it's not something I want for any of my characters anytime soon. Demon summoning I'm very interested in at the moment.
The thing is that since my friends mostly play blue side I'm not all THAT interested in it until I can bring a MM over to play with them.
So it's waiting for the CC and the goodies and month of play time for me! -
I believe that since they revamped the cape mission you have to complete it again to get to the aura mission.

Quote:I have to agree with this. I love shiny new graphics but not having to hunt for the one last guy who fell behind some crates is going to be a huge relief. And really, lets face facts here people, the BIGGEST add to I17 (or GR) is the "Find the Last Few Bad guys/glowies on the map" feature!! If you have played this game longer that a few months, you know THAT is by far one of the best things we are getting. Heck, they coulda released I17 named "Finders Keepers" and only had that in it and I would have said it was a great ish.!
At least with glowies I can crank the volume up and play the SONAR mini-game but finding one lost critter is aggravating! -

Speaking of wonkiness when my vet rewards were showing 4 months between my 15 and 18 month badges I petitioned it. I got my 18 month rewards in the span of a couple business days and I was pleased about that. Now however the list looks like this:
6 months - Faithful Jan 25, 2010
9 months - Dependable Jan 25, 2010
12 months - Loyal Jan 25, 2010
15 months - Zealous Oct 20, 2009
18 months - Staunch Jan 25, 2010
It seems Ouroboros has been meddling in my account! I should probably petition that again before the next vet reward comes due.
Edit: Spell check is good. -
I'd like to second:

I actually took SS as my last power pick on a toon that was using SJ up to that point. I looked at the power choices and decided at that point I didn't particularly want anything special.
It's certainly not a good idea if you're on a tight build, but SJ and SS together can be a lot of fun for zooming around zones and having that vertical lift to get over obstacles instead of around them. -
Just one at the moment:

I've never had a lot of luck with Blasters, I solo most of the time and I have this problem with staying out of melee range.
I rolled an Ice/Ice blaster a few days ago to give them another shot and for a change of pace from my mains. I'm having an absolute ball with him. Learning to use Hover has helped a bunch and the -slow -recharge from Ice has been a big boon too.
He's up to level 22 now almost all of that has been solo, and he's dealt with a number of orange EBs handily. So my vote would be for Ice/Ice. -
From Positron's article on MMORPG.com:
Even if you never thought about it, being able to customize your character's powers with multiple colors to match their costume or their theme is something that nearly every player will want to do, whether at level 1 or level 50. And since you can have different settings per power, and per costume slot, we wanted to make sure you could make the best of this feature when it goes live. To that end, every character in the game will receive a free Tailor session for every costume slot they have unlocked, when Issue 16 is released on the Live servers this summer/fall.

Almost everything is stored server side, only things I can think of off of the top of my head that you might want to back up are key-bind files and your options preferences if you have those saved to load again quickly.
Oh, and if you use Mids' you'll probably want to grab a copy of those saved builds.
But you'll still have access to all your toons, and they'll be as they are now. -

Quote:That's really handy, I doubt I would have come up with that. Thanks so much!I use a set of bind from the numpad:
ctrl+numpad1 team_select 1
ctrl+numpad2 team_select 2
ctrl+numpad3 team_select 3
ctrl+numpad4 team_select 4
ctrl+numpad5 team_select 5
ctrl+numpad6 team_select 6
ctrl+numpad7 team_select 7
ctrl+numpad8 team_select 8
ctrl+numpadenter powexec_name Speed Boost
ctrl+add powexec_name Increase Density -
Quote:I've actually just started playing a Grav/Kin and I've been having a ball with it. It's an interesting difference from my usual play style.Make keybinds for SB and it's way easier. Saying you're only focusing on your primary and not your secondary only makes you half as effective on a team.
Try playing a scrapper and not turning on any of your shields.
That being said, is there a keybind that makes SB faster and/or easier for applying than clicking on the person's name in the team window and hitting the power's regular hotkey?
I'm not used to applying buffs to team-mates so I haven't had much experience there.
