  1. Have decided to give in and make a toon for some solo farming and general PvE greedyness, so out went mutation and TP.
    Ive also taken out spectral wounds for the fire blast.
    wasnt sure what to take at 30 so put in assault for an extra bit of damage for me and phantasm, was thinking of taking out EM pulse for tactics.
    Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

  2. Id go ill/rad or ill/storm
    Illusion is great fun enabling a lot more than pure lockdown...semi tanking with your phantom army, a pet blaster, a group fear, 2 invis the only problem with it is that your teens are rather boring!!
    Raditaion is a good secondary and will make you a great debuffer, you also get a rez and a great buff with accelerated metabolisim.
    Storm is also a lot of fun is one of the most entertaining sets in the game a ill/storm would be more of a chaos troller with debuffs, a tornado, slows.
  3. MMM like you said realy, what are you going to be using it for.
    On my defender i have it slotted for end drain, it works great with power boost.
    On my blaster i have it slotted as a normal attack and use it with ball lightning for a semi decent AoE opener (if there is a tank present anyway)
    For PvP i would go for end drain as the DoT damage is minimal and you realy want spike damage in PvP.
  4. might get vines then spec it out when creepers becomes available..having a lot of trouble with my build at the moment dosnt help this is my first dom, keep thinking like a troller

  8. Just a quick question, ive got a baby plant/thorns and was wondering if its worth slotting pre IO set for defdebuff on any of the attacks, i was thinking holding, then jumping in for thorn burst for the -def??

  9. wouldnt bother with sentinal, im not a PvPer but it sux big time PvE.
    You want a self heal in there if possible.
    get rid of stun, bone smasher and TF will take care of that.
    What your basically looking for is the highest ST damage possible, aim - build up are a good start for this and you want these up as soon as possible so hasten is a must.
    What you need is a good repeatable attack chain that will take down most opponants, then concentrate on making your self harder to kill, stealth maybe, leadership pool for the +perception of tactics.
    i would take the first two electric powers now defiance 2 is up and running spamming them when held may save kill an opponant.
    Probarly wouldnt take tesla cage, one BF and the power is worthless as said before in the last post a power boosted short circuit can seroiusly drain end.

    i take it you have a 50 or 2, didnt you want to level your first one quickly i know i did, it still took me 450hrs.
    it always makes me smile when ppl say "enjoy the ride" the op is obviously enjoying the ride, he just likes faster ones!!
    At least the op hasnt paid someone to level him and is asking for advice on how to speed up the process.
  12. Rastus...i asked the same question when i joined the game so without digging up the thread i will give you the advice i was given, and let you know how i level my toons.

    Get into 8 man teams, the xp comes quicker in big teams.

    Make a team yourself, ok your a tank!! you will want some support(defenders) to keep you alive and debuff the enemy, you will need some damage (Blasters, scrappers) once you have these toons to complement your own you can pick and choose from who is availabe for your team. keep in mind that a good team can consist of any mixture of archtype...so mix and match is the best way to go.

    When you are in a good team and everything is running smoothly up the the difficulty!! start fighting +3s

    Certain villain types are easier to defeat than others, pick your missions accordingly.

    When doing mission arcs remember that they sometimes send you between zones, if you want to level quickly it is a good option to do radio missions and keep in the same zone.

  13. I have a inv tanker and comparing granite to unstopable is pointless i cant remember the last time i had to use unstoppable, but most (but not in my opinion the best) stone tanks spend all there time in granite form.
    A stone tank in a semi decent team wont need to be in granite form all the time, personally the sooner it becomes a clicky the better.
  14. like all taunt auras there are times when i prefer to turn it off, but the defense bonus is so high with multiple enemys, and with added taunt which my invinc has got i find it essential 90% of the time.
    When i was leveling my tank (it was my first toon) i hated invince as my build was so bad that if i actually gained any agro i ended up dying hehe

    I havent bothered with acrobatics since i could put 2 KB IOs in hover or combat jumping.
    this means you can take hasten a lot earlier which i try and get as soon as possible,
    i would get sprint instead of hurdle.
    I found conserve power essential on my stormy tbh.

    I would take resist physical damage earlier and not take resist elements or energys.
    i would take the fighting pool instead.
    I dont know why you have got intemidate tbh prehaps im missing something as i dont PvP with my tank but taunt is posted my current build (the purple sets are a bit of a dream), i originally aimed for regen but have now swapped it round and gone for recharge this means dull pain constantly up.
    I would either take fault or tremor not both i prefer fault.
    I you are after a leveling build let me know and i will post you one, but as you posted with sets i assume you want a final build.

  23. Have taken it and played against a few AVs last night, dominate is great and tbh the sheild with steamy mist means i have +30% resistance on everything apart from negative and toxic
    telekinesis is a strange one, havent got it fully slotted the way i want it yet but i can see it being usefull if another mob gets aggroed and the team needs some time to clear up prehaps i should have taken mass hypnosis for that instead?? its end heavy but i havent got all my accolades on this toon, and its just plain IO slotting so far, if i could get the build i wanted (can anyone loan me 300Mill )it wouldnt be a problem but i still havent fully IO setted my 2 mains .
