No, seriously.
I'll admit I groaned inwardly at first, but it seems like the camera tech they're using goes above and beyond gimmick shots.
Also, here's video blog #3 in case you missed it (like I did). -

I'd love to see people who get PAID to do this sort of thing do a better job than TonyV has. Keep up the good work Tony!

Quote:I'm pretty sure they are all aspects of the same Well. The end of Mender Ramiel's arc seems to confirm this. So, I'm a bit curious.
All the in-game references say *one* Well of the Furies. Is it a sort of multi-dimensional thing like, every dimension is linked to the SAME well, or are there actually different Wells, so Statesman and Recluse (and our heroes & villains) are powered by the Primal Well, while Emperor Cole is the Chosen of the Praetorian Well? -
Quote:Then you'd get people expecting to see ALL of those options. Groups would coalesce around certain choices, insisting why their particular choice should be implemented and others should be axed. We'd need more moderators.Fair points made by all.
What about a marketing style survey, even if it was just 'Pick 10 things out of these drop down menus you'd like to see.' rather than a more in-depth questionnaire?
If they told us their plans, even with the usual caveats and disclaimers, there would be individuals who would take those plans as set-in-stone gospel and swiftly mount the highest of horses upon hearing that those plans had to be changed. It spares us a great deal of weeping and gnashing of teeth for the developers to not tell us what they're doing. -
I pay $15 a month just for Ion Core Final Judgement.

Large, flying insects with spines and hard carapaces that make loud clicking noises as they fly. Never seen one in person, but just thinking about them freaks me out.

My biggest issue with the Underground trial is time. I have real-life obligations that take up a lot of my free time, and I don't like the idea of spending around an hour in that trial when I could join a Keyes and get the same rewards in much less time.

Quote:That's something I've been thinking about lately. Why do we assume that if there are aliens they must be orders of magnitude more technologically advanced than we are? It took our planet, serendipitously placed within a 'Goldilocks zone' around our sun with a fortuitous variety of natural mineral resources, somewhere on the order of 4.5 billion years to produce a sapient species. 95% of our species time on the planet has been spent hunting and gathering.I don't think the question should be if alien races exist, but if they have the technology to come here.
Looking at humanity from the perspective of geologic and evolutionary timescales, our species' technological progress over the past 100 years has been mind-boggling. In a single human lifetime we progressed from the first powered aircraft flight to putting a human being on another stellar object. We haven't yet developed FTL travel, why should we assume that we've been beaten to the punch? -
Current estimates put the wild polar population somewhere between 20,000 and 25,000. That's around 3-5 times greater than the number of tigers (of all subspecies) left in the wild. Kellogg's needs to step up to the plate.

Occam's Razor is no longer equal to the task. Clearly what we need now is Occam's Broadsword.

It'd be nice if it were a customization option. Some people have concept reasons for wanting them to be shimmery and transparent, some have concept reasons for wanting them to appear solid.

...that's not at all how Master Midnight looks in-game. Or was that intentional?
EDIT: Looks like the image was removed. -
Sometimes it's good to just take a break and try other things. I've done that a number of times since I first subscribed way back when. I always come back. But if you don't feel like logging in, you don't do yourself any favors by forcing yourself to play.
The great thing about the new payment model is that if you do cancel your subscription and take a hiatus for a few months, you can log right back in without paying a dime and check out what you've missed. -
He may or may not be referring to the beta only mechanic which allows testers to purchase Empyrean merits from the vendor in Ouroboros for only 1 inf.
It's more likely he's referring to the two new trials (one which will come out with I21.5, the other some time after) which will offer 2 Empyrean merits upon completion, yet will still offer 1 Empyrean merit during the 20 hour cooldown. -
I recently read a thread (I think it was in this section of the forums) in which a player was having difficulties convincing a friend with a free account to continue playing the game due to the restrictions placed on free account communication.
So I thought to myself, "Self, how would you make the free account experience more friendly for people with VIP friends?" So naturally I answered, "Set up a buddy system."
The idea is this: allow a VIP to 'buddy up' with a free account (kinda like a level pact or sidekicking, but for accounts, not characters), which would remove some of the more burdensome chat restrictions. The free account would be able to send tells to the VIP account, trade with the VIP account, and join a single global channel that the VIP account is also in. A possibility would be to link the accounts in such a way that the free account would only be able to talk in the global channel when the VIP is also online.
Supergroups are a different animal altogether, as they aren't tied to a global name. Given that free accounts have only 2 character slots, a VIP-linked free player should be allowed to join a supergroup, but be blocked from receiving promotions.
A VIP would only be able to be buddies with a single free account at a time, and there would be a cooldown after breaking the bond before the VIP could make another free account (or that same account) their buddy.
This is just a general framework I thought up and I would love to hear suggestions and improvements. I want to see a system that can't be exploited by RMT spammers but increases the QOL for free players while still encouraging them to spend some money on the game. -
I was thinking about the topic of revamping Broadsword recently, but I was thinking of just giving it the Katana treatment, i.e., entirely unique animations. With Titan Weapons coming out (possibly) sometime this year, Broadsword needs something to make it stand out other than just mechanics.

On the topic of FTL neutrinos, it's possible that relativity was the answer all along. Emphasis on 'possible', as the scientists claim that the motion of the GPS satellites in orbit was accounted for.

Hmmm... It has potential. That it's not being released in January is a point in its favor. Then again, Cloverfield, the obvious inspiration here, was a January release.

Ordinarily I can do that, but it gets annoying when the series starts breaking its own rules for no apparent reason. Like Daryl's motorcycle. The single loudest vehicle in all of post-apocalyptic Georgia, yet they're worried about a SINGLE gunshot attracting a herd of zombies.
