  1. After seeing that my sister had Comic Sans as her WORK FONT, I am firmly in the faction that wishes to see this abomination wiped from existence!

There can be no coexistence. People cannot be trusted!

Jake_Summers says that like it's a good thing:

While some people might not like the flavor of CoV Story, it is a consistent storyline from level 1 to 50, which City of Heroes does not have.
And that's exactly what I don't like about it. It's a rail. Not enough "choose your own path".
  3. Just day before yesterday I decided to test out going without travel powers on my level 27 MA/SR scrapper. I traded out Combat Jumping and Superjump and added Hurdle and an SR power I hadn't gotten yet, Agile. I then three slotted Hurdle with Jump enhancements.

With Swift, Sprint and Hurdle, Ninja Run made an EXCELLENT travel power (not the fastest, but plenty zippy), fits my "non-powered" characters much better, and was kind of fun! Superjump is good, but I only concentrate on my landings. This way I'm more involved the whole time, which is fun for me. Plus I got better defense out of getting a freed up power choice. I'm considering making many of my Natural characters this way.
  4. I'm finding that out. I guess I never noticed because the teams I've been on, the mission holder was always (to my knowledge) the leader as well.

I am not 100%, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't make a difference whether you have one or seven team-mates, as long as you have fun.
Well, duh, but that hardly answers the question.

Also relevant is that when a mission is set, the mission holder gets credit towards the mentor badges, even if the mission holder isn't the leader.
You sure about that? Because that makes little to no sense. The badges are for SKing people. That has nothing to do with the missions.

Wow, I thought I was going to read that you guys do what I do. I guess not.

All movement is mouselook, straife, and W or S. And during fights a judicious use of F.
I tried moving with a mouseclick (if that's what you're saying). Absolutely hated it. Felt like I had no control of my movement at all.

Master-Blade is there ahead of me:

I use the right mouse button to steer/move my camera. It has much faster response and better accuracy than using the arrows would, plus allows me to look up or down quickly as well. It's especially usefully for those tunnel maps where the path actually goes uphill and there are foes on it that you wouldn't have seen if your camera was still level.

I use WASD for forward, back, and sidestepping. Spacebar is jump, and X is down (while flying).
    I use this.

    Mouse-click left button.

Also by running your own team , you gets some nice badges as well
Another one that hadn't crossed my mind...do team leaders get credit towards the mentoring badges for everyone on the team they're sking now?

That only works on a desktop system. Most people with Intel graphics are using laptops, which can't be upgraded like that.
I miss the convenience of my laptop but I don't miss that.

    Buffs

I'm the same way. I won't sneer at the accuracy bonuses, but they're rarely something I'm after, just something good to get on the way.

I hadn't really thought of it from that perspective, but it's very true. It's easier to be a bigger fish if the pond is smaller.

My cyborgy-type Trace merely changed his shirt from red to blue, but Dec's blue and white colors were reversed. I wonder if there's a pattern. Trace has the zombie skin all over, I wonder if that matters.
Looking at the pictures I took of the incident, apparently my boots and gloves did the "primary/secondary" swap and the rest turned blue. The secondary is blue, so I assume it is under the stuff that didn't use a secondary color, too. So it seems to match up with the other times I've been through it.
  13. I'd have to say it doesn't look "written" at all, or at least written in that form. It reads more like various excerpts cut from "Story Bible - Praetorian Perspective" and pasted together unedited to make an article, hence the repetition.

The concept art looks great! I'm especially hoping we get to see something like this in the game.

    1) I like the looks of the new zones. However, I do find it a bit amusing that Praetorian Earth is supposed to be swimming in technology and advances beyond those of Primal Earth or the real world, yet the screenshots of Praetoria look much more like most real-world cities than the city zones of Paragon City and the Rogue Isles do.
Well, to be fair, you don't see a lot of our technological development on the outside of our buildings either.

  16. It's...um...a laser-sword! Yeah, that's it. No connection to this "light sabre" at all!

**waves hand** These aren't the weapons you're looking for...
  17. I'm with the bunny, please keep PvP "locked up". No tag system, please, that just brings frustrated PvPers into the PvE zones to harass people and trash talk (not all PvPers, of course, but there'd be enough it'd be annoying).
  18. Close. He's saying they essentially created a "new character" (and a "new" faction, although he didn't actually say that) with Tyrant's reboot, so that makes it similar to his Recluse complaint.
  19. As long as it's not some super-secret thing that no one was suppose to have an inkling about, I assume they just look at it as a sneak-preview that might even generate more interest.

    Equipment pack, please.

I want all those things too, but not in a pack. "Free"side should at least get plain versions of those if anyone does and maybe fancy ones in a pay pack.

    LostHalo wants ancient:

The truly interesting immortal characters, in my opinion, are the ones that have lived for significantly longer than the "normal" immortal (assuming they're written well--of course, that assumption should be expected). I'm not talking the random Viking vampire that shows up in fiction, I mean one that participated in the sack of Babylon-kind of old--or even older. It's generally fairly rare that characters that old are written well, though, so it's probably a good thing characters of that type rarely show up as is.
I found the one in Poul Anderson's "The Boat of a Million Years" that was pretty decently done (especially in the ancient sequences...nice vision of a world long gone). It's worth a read, although not "OMG FANTASTIC!!!one1".
  25. One big earthquake is the mistake you're making here. Otherwise Los Angeles would be rubble several times a year.

We do know how to make tall buildings that are earthquake resistant, you know.
