Clone bug?

I was doing the clone arc on the blue side when I encountered this. The 'good' clone was a perfect copy of my toon.

However, the 'evil' clone's colors were all wrong.

I'm assuming this is a bug. I find it difficult to believe that the original can be confused with the evil clone from the looks of this.

Hero-side, the evil clones switch secondary and primary colors of each costume bit. You obviously have pink as the secondary color on your sleeves.

Note to self: ALWAYS set the secondary color from now on even if it isn't used.

I don't recall picking pink, but I'll check it out.

On one of my heroes, it appeared that the Evil Clone had the first primary colors I had selected for my two powersets when I changed them, but only on some of his costume.

I will go back, however, and check the secondary colors on all of his costume parts, but as I recall, with him being essentially monocolor, I had them all switched to the same color. But you never know. If I am correct that my primary and secondary costume colors are the same, then it is a /bug.

The more exciting error was when I was teaming, and the good doppleganger looked like my teammate, not me.

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

This too happened to me, at the time I thought that was intended. Anyone know for sure if this is a bug or working as intended?

Can't really say if it's WAI, but the clone is the first person to enter the mission.

As for the pink thing, pink must be your secondary color, happend to my blaster. The costume creator seems to like pink if you don't have a secondary color.

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.

I've heard the clone spawns to look like the first person to enter the mission. Makes sense because if the clone spawns-on-entry (near the front) it is being created as the first person logs in.

I know for a fact that if the evil clone spawns later - like as part of the ambush in the good-side burning arachnos base mission or in the evil-side mission to "test" your clones - it will spawn with the correct look.

We try to make sure the owner goes in first on all those missions just to be sure.

I always tought this was WAI. It's what I saw everytime I did it, no matter what toon I was playing.

The clone is NOT always a palette reversal. I have a blaster that did the arc, and his evil double's costume was exactly the same, but his skin was dark red, instead of the normal caucasian skin tone that I had used.

However, what everyone has said is correct: The evil clone does have a different color set than you.

My cyborgy-type Trace merely changed his shirt from red to blue, but Dec's blue and white colors were reversed. I wonder if there's a pattern. Trace has the zombie skin all over, I wonder if that matters.

I checked my tanker out and did find that he did have pink as a secondary for the problem areas. Got that fixed, even though it cost me 3 free costume tokens.

I still think it's a bug, because I did the arc when it first came out on my claws/da scrapper, and her colors came out right. Even though she was monochromatic with 2 shades of purple.

Yeah, this is my experience. My blaster's entire outfit is yellow and black, and only using tights with patterns, so the secondary colors are displayed everywhere. My clone was... blue and black, I believe. Which actually looked pretty snazzy.

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

It seems to me that there are a number of ways that the clones are created. Did the arc with my friend, who had a blue labcoat with white trim. The evil clone's labcoat was black with blue trim, and honestly it really looked the part of an evil clone! His pants on the other hand, were just reverse-colored.

Also his evil clone took the Electric Manipulation damage aura while he didn't, which is OBVIOUSLY evil.

Yes, the clone is a copy of the first person in, which was rather funny when I ran the arc with a couple of friends on their DP blasters, and I was on my DM/Regen scrapper. It was one of the blaster's mission, but I entered first... and just stealthed while my double beat the crap out of him

I bow to the consensus experience. The two times I've run it, all costume parts were simply reversed on all evil clones. The one time I thought it wasn't turned out to be an unused secondary I had failed to set.

Looking at the pictures I took of the incident, apparently my boots and gloves did the "primary/secondary" swap and the rest turned blue. The secondary is blue, so I assume it is under the stuff that didn't use a secondary color, too. So it seems to match up with the other times I've been through it.

Dec out.

This.

There may even be an algorithm to pick which technique is used. Maybe anyone that looks like a cowboy gets pinked.
