Getting things into nice neat piles is a source of joy to me. But so is sending an entire room spawned for 8 into screaming running chaos and still not having any worries about dying. Try it sometime, you may like it more than you think
The last MoKahn I ran was the absolute safest TF I have ever been on. Four illusion controllers, two of them storm, one rad and the other was something else. We also had a storm defender and an energy blaster.

    Empathy Opinions

This explains everything. In low levels, heals do outshine other means of mitigation. It's one of the reasons low level DA and WP tanks are so awesome. Before SOs even, my DA tank could run around without armor toggles and just heal what damage came in. Made endurance management trivial, at the very least.

By later levels, you should be keeping fortitude on just about every person on the team that will receive enough incoming damage to care. (Do not put fort on the tank. Please.)

I plan to eventually make an empathy defender. Of the first three powers, he will have Heal Other only, and no more than three slots will be devoted to it.

Yes, thank you both. The one true fluffy pet is the Extracted Essence.

And Castle has said this much.

The OP used a (sort of) clever play of words to support his case. If you want a change, you have to justify reasons for said change. Perhaps some analysis to prove that controllers are a somehow inferior AT (good luck there) which could be "corrected" by adding control to their pets.

Saying "Controllers have derp control in their name, why derp can't they control derp pets derp?" doesn't work.

  7. I can vouch that the clicky accolades are affected by global recharge, as my warshade is able to use Eye of the Magus way too often for his own good.

I don't know if recharge affects it, but the power cannot be stacked.

Also, I've heard reports that the recent Alignment powers are not affected by global recharge. Can anyone confirm?
  8. I'll miss seeing you around the forums.

You'll be back, though. They always come back.
  9. I'd like to echo the request for an unsuppressed portion of stealth in hide. That is extremely thematic, and would considerably boost stalker survivability. Considering it'd be less likely to be attacked, it may even boost damage, as hide and placate would be more reliable.
  10. Here. My additions in this color.

Your Damage Resistance will increase for each nearby Scrapper, Brute, Stalker or Blaster teammate (10%, each). Each bonus is cumulative, so more of each AT will contribute multiple bonuses. The effect is most notable when the team is heavy in one direction or the other. A lot of offensive ATs will make it easy for you to assume a tanky role. A lot of defensive ATs and that damage bonus will become solidly noticable. Each one is like throwing an extra damage DO that isn't affected by ED into all of your attacks.

Yes, I've often referred to my all human PB as a "regen blapper."

The status protection bonus is incredible when you have at least two controllers. Acrobatics provides 2 mag hold protection and costs endurance to run, which is enough that even bosses can't hold you in one shot (with 2 mag protection, you'd need strictly greater than mag 3 to mez you). Two controllers on the team and you have 2 mag protection to just about everything for free. I can't call that "unimpressive."
  11. For what it's worth, my thoughts and prayers are with her.
  12. I have concepts that must be realized! They cannot wait for inherent stamina, and I don't want to create two builds, so I'm just playing without stamina.

It's a Dark Armor Stalker that's currently level 40. Without Stamina.

But is taking a Pet over an AoE attack going to gimp the Tanker's team performance to the point where it can't reliably hold aggro versus larger spawns...? That's my worry...
I see where you're coming from now. Take the pet.

My DA/Fire tank has all the aggro tools that yours will, and he has no trouble holding aggro. Well, I do have combustion and Fire Sword Circle, both of which are up more often than Soul Drain, but you also have Power Sink, which is auto hit and up very often. Aside from [Taunt] and [Fossilize], though, I have no way to grab aggro at range. I've got a damn near identical damage aura (yours has a debuff, so it's a little stronger at holding aggro). You might want to check Gloom's gauntlet effect, but it should serve as a second taunt. Don't be afraid to move around while you fight, and for $deity's sake, keep pressing Tab.

Dark Oblit is phenomenal AoE damage for a tanker. On a team, however, it's still not doing near as much as anyone else on the team does. It's only going to help with aggro, but you should have that handled on your own. If your concern is taking down an AV on your own, get the pet.

    Warshade Vs GM

Sheer damage isn't exactly an answer either. WarShades, while capable of reaching their damage cap with Sunless Mire need a full mob to do so. Again, not happening in a sustained 1-on-1 fight.
So bring food to the fight! Remember the Warshade Mantra: Must find more bodies!

It's not uncommon for Shield Defense or Dark Melee users to bring extra targets as fuel to help down the big game. It will be very difficult for a warshade to do this without eventually killing its food, but it would be possible.

Also keep in mind, fully slotted eclipse only needs 5 targets in range to cap resistance. With the shields active, there can be as few as three targets nearby. You'd still want ten targets to max out the mire.

I have no doubts that an AV could be soloed. It would take a lot of skill, a top notch build, and a dash of luck, but it could be done.

GM? Not going to happen. Requires somewhere around 350 effective DPS to simply overcome regen. Having a reliable -regen power would make all the difference in the world.

    "Are you a god?"

I'm thinking my warshade might be ... well, not an incarnate ... but he'd bind bits and pieces of the plane of chaos to his being. That would sure fit.

Otherwise, no. Sands will be himself, ever strengthening the power of his soulfire.

    Hurdle, Yum!

Yes, Castle confirmed that all fitness powers will be working in forms.

    Hurdle, Yum!

Dwarf with hurdle will be amazing, but Nova will benefit from swift too.

    Corr vs. Blaster

I run a lot of TFs. My standard answer is "Play whichever you enjoy more," but there is no denying that, in your case, the corruptor always adds more to the team.

Given the choice between a Blaster and Corruptor, and all other things being equal, I would almost always choose the Corruptor. There are some edge cases, such as already having a kin and the choice being between a blaster and a */kin corruptor. At that point, the second kin adds little, since everyone should be at or near damage cap already, and the blaster has the higher damage modifier to be buffed.

Seriously, that's about all I can tell you. Powers you like will not be the same ones I like. When it came to my warshade, I prioritized on powers I knew I would use, and powers I knew I could abuse as set mules. "One slot wonders" are great.

You're going to burn a lot of respecs on a kheldian.

I think you're reading far too much into my first post.

I simply saw someone who seemed to have a problem with high prices. I then stated that farming would only serve to drive prices higher. Remember that you brought up teams, saying that they added more to inflation. I refute that because most large teams are not level fifty.

People ho play level fifty characters do the most to drive inflation. I never claimed this was bad for the game. That's another discussion entirely. I simply stated that farming only serves to drive prices higher.

Regen, Dark Armor, Super Reflexes, Shield Defense, and Willpower all beg to differ that psi is not kryptonite to everyone.
