  1. I have a mids titans database i made..if any would like to see how slotting TW in your builds works out...PM me for a copy of updated mids.
  2. Cuz his and my builds are strictly for farming and u have to drop something for hasten...i love CJ btw for movement on farms..no travel suppression

    also u only lose 1/2 stealth bonus..still good to hit def cap
  3. yah its different build..he wanted boss killing power..so i added bonfire (2 casts of cages will stop KB) your build has merit..but mine is more end friendly and doesnt need hasten. i lose only .2 sec on Sei smash and .5 sec on the fissure..
    if MAMAMEG wants he could sub in a 1 slotted hasten for Combat jumping..i find hasten annoying with the other siphons..seems very clicky..with 3 click buffs not counting heal and end recovery clicks.
    its 50.4 s/l btw..u have to turn on options-config-effects+math- on far right click suppression- attacked by foe/hit by foe buttons.. this way u get the combat stealth def value..i made new build here Cheap with no Purple sets.i like procs for my farm builds

    I think my fire/ss tank ABko is the only non-side switching toon on freedom to break 1000 badges

    1002 as of today.
  7. U really dont need fight pool on stone tank..u are capped on resist without it. here is my take on build giving u more recovery and recharge. plus 36 sec build up in granite for those hard to hit types.

  8. i go to RWZ and have 2-53 or 54 minion rikti swing the huge sword at my tank in rest mode..seems to work well and bypass the HP buff badge problem.

  10. having played shield & ice & fire tanks & fire,invul and dark armor scrappers. i feel only ice, shield. and invul have have taunt and fast acting taunt effects sufficient enuff to keep agg. unless u are willing to slot in taunt durations and wait for what seems to be the long 1-2 sec aura tic that the weaker auras generate to get agg, i would just grab the taunt power and ensure agg is mine.
  11. seems heraclea and new dawn agree with my comments..purples are not the end all be all...and i still stand by my statement. u will do a disservice to firetanks not to bump up your damage aka get build up at least..also helpful to hit high def enemy since u team and wont get taunt...so buildup then attack to get agg, then hit consume to keep agg.
  12. fine ill be ignored and u will be just ignorant..u were right in 1 point u cant just slot out every power with a purple set,,,there are not enuff slots...NEWSFLASH there are not enuff powers either ..u chose a set that requires heavy power pool use. u cant have every attack in set and expect to tank defensively like invul tanks..
    u must give and take and shore up fire tanks defenses..without build up u are just a weak tank with weak attacks..tell u what im going to drop rage from my fire/ss build ..just because u know i like the animation of SS and dont care about killing stuff. firearmor is weak..u must use strong secondary to make it shine..
    in other words killing faster = survival for firetank.
    purple sets are really rare and expensive now..i wonder if the influx of newbs wanting to slot purples everywhere without regard to its effects, might be the reason for this?
    final word...define your toon's role.. slot accordingly...then learn to play
    u are 51 vet and cant slot a toon...hmmm PURP ME BABY, yeah.... you know you want to!

    meanwhile im a 53 month vet and build incredible toons and can help u with your build if u drop the noobish act and ignore talk..

    it seems to me that the quality of players has dropped..while noobs are flooding the forums on this titanic of a game..

    if u see a kick *** firetank mowing down rikti or nemisis..then ask him/her how they do it...can they share build pointers etc..
    i've seen a firekin planning to slot hot feet with armageedon set..

    another one like a brillant stone/ss tank was proud to tell me he is investing in 5 purple sets in his build....im like u cant afford to give up 25 slots for just attacks..u are stoner...defense buddy /...resistance. regen .recharge ..end use..run speed..this all ring a bell?
    and he too was on the armageddon for mudpots trick...again...u cant run mudpots with only 33% end reduction= .59 end/sec..."dont cry to my kin for transferance and sb cuz u cant read."
    man sry to get so hyper,,,but man..i feel like all the hard work done by Herclea, myself, new dawn, calash,,,and others (too many to name sorry to the rest of MIDs geniuses in forums) that hard work is just wasted ..like screaming at deaf people.

    Again b4 u post your build..or scream HELP I need the UBERZ build..just look through tanker guides and earlier posts and see the prior builds.
    At least that way u can post build here that u looked at and try to modify and its not a complete waste of Mids code.
  17. Hated it...u need to get build up...what are u thinking..u are fire tank ==DAMAGE...u will not be the toughest tank so be the ROUGHEST...deal pain and survive.
    and drop BoF..i know u are stuck on it....but its really slow animation..i hate to say this but drop BURN..u have no mitigation to make burn work like stuns holds..or KDowns.

    Man give it a rest..u can purple out a turd its still a funky smelling turd. and u are putting taunts in consume so u can taunt every 90 sec..yah...here is crazy idea get Taunt the tank power. u can even slot in end recovery bonus IO sets in it. man i can do this..someone else help him...the "PURP ME BABY, yeah.... you know you want to!" kinda made me sick..gl purple turd!

    Hi Machine slave...can i call your build "SB meh!" work on the end..ss is end hungry
    hasten and rage is end hungry...i made build better here..i shouldnt give out my secrets
    also if u are fire/ss why not slot up burn for some damage..it is the only power that defines the fire tank. burn-footstomp is still a nice farm combo.
    extra Hp and regen helps this build.
    plus i gave u 24.9 melee def...makes a world of difference in tankage.
    still end hungry. and i would say that blazing aura ticks are iffy on taunt control. i would drop FE and get taunt. but its your build and dont know if u are looking for pvp or farming.
    also i agree with new dawn..the recharge proc in footstomp is real iffy..i use it on my stone tanks/brutes attacks that wont cross that 10 sec spam line in granite.

    perhaps u missed the part where i say tank is a mindset not an AT...any one u distracts the mob or debuffs them to death or controls them and makes it safe for the team to handle mob without alpha strike= tank. and if tank doesn't have star...what is the leader going to say on every mob..."OK tank go in we are rdy" this is slow and unnecessary..if tank sets pace u will quickly figure out how best support him...i feel contstantly pressured to press forward..even though there are straggler mobs. Seems to me tanking is an art of pacing team, monitoring aggro, and knowing when to advance to next spawn when mob size and remaining danger is minimal where team can clean up. too slow = boring... i feel if tank keeps quick pace and mobs are dying fast and tank is pushing the team wipe edge..then all toons have a blast. the healers are healing..scrappers/blasters are killing like mad..trollers/defs are doing double duty controlling and buff/debuffing.. i hate waiting for buffs b4 a mob rush.. just buff in combat as team should be reasonably close enuff (not to close to tank --mob AOE) to tank for all to get buffed. buff on way as i say...i did posi in 2.5 hours on 8 man team...that was a killer pace pre-i16 everyone had fun...and i knew when to push envelope. sometimes it goes bad and 1-2 die...but it was rare and the pace wasnt "too safe" and boring.
  20. there were bug where taunt IO proc would proc on the tank...aka stun and psi damage...to solve this..they just nixed the taunt set line from auras.

    1. always follow tank
    2. remember rule #1

    regardles of has star..the tanker (or tank proxy) is the lead!

    Tank sets pace..tank knows his limits and will push party forward...any time u have other ATs running ahead..and expecting tank to save them..they are wrong..(exception are scrappers- they have their own agenda and pace) I won't save a scrapper on my tank unless i can do so without losing agg or hurting myself or party.

    if every AT follows tank (main tank) then there will be no confusion...blaster cant save u if u make a bad turn..scrappers generally dont have the taunts to effectively pull aggro off someone (shield and invul are exceptions) even a defender will lose the war of attrition of damage incoming on a wayward blaster and heals applied.

    Tanks have the tools and the staying power to make a wrong turn or accidently aggro a mob. tanking is a mind set and not an AT.
    tanks are first in door..and last to leave mission..make sure squishies are all safe and accounted for. tanks also take note of npc runners. and make sure they are killed or taunted when they return.

  22. i like the ice/stone idea..if u ever played one or saw them in action..the synergy of knockdowns and end recovery work nice together. i just wish tremor had faster activation..but hurl boulder is too fun. just choose clear wire frames for the stone attacks.

  24. drop incinerate instead .most dont like its 50% DoT (wasted attacks on mob). if u get hasten and tough and cj u will use 4 pools (stam) if u want fly that bad ,,then drop cj and use burn as your immob prot..cj will be the only def power for IO mule lotg and kismet 6%.
