Yourself. Yes, really. The Shard is manipulating your inner monologue and twisting your thoughts into negativity then feeding them back on yourself. The badges for the Storm Palace expound on this a bit.

I can't speak for Champion as I don't play there, but most teaming these days happens in global channels, so you may want to look into joining Champion-specific global channels.

Last night someone in a global channel was complaining about how he had run 40+ iTrials and still didn't have a VR to show for it. I explained the alternate methods for obtaining them, both of which he shot down (saving up Emps for purple recipes in Incarnates Ascend, not enough inf to upgrade the 40+ non-VR components he'd earned). So without even blinking I sent him 400 million inf, fully aware that the cost to upgrade to a VR will decrease by 75% in a couple weeks.
I've had piles of disposable inf for a while now (not nearly as much as some folks on this subforum, mind you, but more than enough), but this was the first time I realized how comfortable I was spending it (I also recently used a few hundred million to build up a personal SG base).
I just can't figure out how people think earning inf is hard. -
The fact that half of the single-word potential names from a very small representative sample out of the dictionary are taken as character names doesn't indicate even half of a damn thing. There are plenty of creative names available if you look in the right spot. Song titles/lyrics, fragments of famous quotes, fragments of not-so-famous-but-still-eloquent quotes. Animal species names, scientific principles, technologies, and portmanteaus of all of the above. And if you think freeing up names will somehow magically free up a lot of single-word names, well, that's a nice fantasy world but I doubt it will solve the predicament you placed yourself in. Running the name-release script sounds like a good idea, until you start to look at all the people who have been returning to the game after 3, 4, even 5-6 year absences lately. Who's going to be inclined to stay renewed when half of their characters have been genericed in the interim?
And no, I don't want to run into another Qubit on Pinnacle. Nor do I want some idiot who's decided he doesn't like me to also name a character Qubit, copy my costume and start imitating me. Why should we enable griefers? -
The "new servers" aren't really new, they just consolidated the American and European server lists.
There are a few badges in Praetoria that can only be obtained by native Praertorians, and only before they leave for Primal Earth. There's a badge in the tutorial for reading all of the text options, a badge for being Loyalist and Resistance alignments, and a badge for doing 5 Moral Choice missions. You can't flashback to any of this, even as a former Praetorian. However, in Issue 20.5, Primal Earth characters will be able to get the Praetorian tutorial badge (Avid Reader) from Prometheus in Ouroboros (possibly only at level 50 though...not sure how that will work).
Endgame: Go talk to Mender Ramiel in Ouroboros at level 50. You can also talk to the aforementioned Prometheus for more Incarnate information. -

The LotG is +Recharge, not +Accuracy.
Miracle +Recovery, Numina +Regen/+Recovery are a couple others. -
You're no hero. You're a thug. A super-powered bully who metes out pain and suffering in equal measure. What kind of person are you, who finds inspiration in the broken bodies and shattered lives you've left in your wake? What kind of person has their life enhanced every time some "villain" crumples in a lifeless heap at your feet? Does it make you feel powerful? You're a leech, sucking the life from everyone who stands between you and your "noble goals" for a "better, safer society." Have you no shame?

Nope. I like Reeves' Superman just fine, but the rest is pretty ridiculous. Hackman's Luthor in particular was awful (not his fault that he was given the role of a cartoonish idiot, but that's what the character was).

I am a moron (see: posting time) and will probably not wake up in time for this at 10 AM. If you still end up running at 10 you can go on without me. If you do end up delaying for Ethereal then there's a better chance I'll be up for that; I'll hop on first thing to check the status of things.

/unsigned. The two sets exist separately for a reason, and they shouldn't be recajiggered just because some primaries don't get access to two procs.

It's only a grind if you make it a grind.

Original recharge time / (1 + any bonuses)
where any bonuses can come from enhancements, set bonuses, etc (expressed as a decimal percentage)
ED cap for recharge is ~95%, for alpha slot when at the ED cap add the bonus of the slot times however much bypasses ED
Example: Foot Stomp's base recharge is 20 seconds. Slot it to ED cap, apply Spiritual Core Paragon (45% recharge, 2/3 of which bypasses ED)
20 / (1 + 0.95 + 45*(2/3)) = 8.88 seconds
Not sure how doing the math manually is easier than using Mids' but whatever floats yer boat. -
The Incarnate System doesn't end with Praetoria and Cole's invasion. The endgame will continue to develop as the storyline moves on from Cole and toward the Coming Storm.

Whoops! Copy-paste didn't take on the first one. Fixed it.

Have you made any decisions about a time, Pacur?

Slightly off-topic: Don't use Wikia. It has malware embedded in it, and for that matter isn't even entirely accurate or up-to-date. Stick to http://wiki.cohtitan.com or http://www.paragonwiki.com (the different URLs for the same wiki).

Broken feature. Scrap it and replace it with something that grants the Help me! title only to new accounts for a set period of time. Helper status can remain a choice.

No lag issues here, at least not persistently (now, on a full BAF with plenty of MMs? absolutely). Sounds like the problem is on your end.

Quote:Because you can make a male character in tighty-whities, or a female character in what amounts to little more than a string bikini, but god help us if they're fully nude (except not really because the game doesn't render naughty bits, so the models are all smooth right 'round the bend and look no different than the scantily-clad characters we can already make). They specifically addressed this during one of the Ustream chats. The problem is that by setting the costume the same color as the skin tones, people could start making heroes and villains that are completely naked. If you look, you'll see that there is no exact duplicate of skin tone in the costume colors. And sadly, you know that if it were possible, there'd be a constant stream of naked heroes flooding the city as people with the mentality of 12-year-olds think it's funnier when they do it than all the other bazillion people who have done it before them.
I suppose they could do something like having it so that when you pick a skin tone, you're locked out of having top or bottom costume parts within some small x% of that skin tone, but of course, that would be more programming that would have to go into the game, along with a new interface design. I doubt we'll be seeing it anytime soon. -
Just ran an iTrial on an MM for the first time last night, went from 0 to 23% on Judgement. There's nothing wrong with MMs as long as you play them properly.

Quote:Does that mean they still have to acknowledge the first two seasons of Enterprise, which didn't have the Star Trek name on them? The end result of what they did *is* a reboot. They were just considerate enough to add some plotline handwavium. They can continue forward with those movies and completely ignore anything that happened in anything that already has the ST name on it.

I could shoot for Saturday morning, assuming I behave myself and go to bed at something halfway approaching a decent hour the night before. I'd be bringing a Bots/Dark.
-
And I don't use Lightning Field, so. I was thinking mainly of Ball Lightning.

I'm just thinking ahead here, but if the same sort of thing happens with PinnBadges that happened with Pinnacle Badges, what will be the next channel name? I nominate PinnBad.
