Quote:Sorry but I don't see where you said this.Mmm...
Darkgob, please read my entire post, you focused and fired away on a portion of the post. I simply reported on what DAOC does. If you read a few lines below, which you failed (in purpose?) to post, I clearly state the first ability is not a good way to go.
In any event, you do not understand how probability works. Hope this helps. -
I heard they're doubling XP for everyone except Regen characters. And villains, of course.
-
Enable the Villain Zone Event Message channel, it makes it easier to determine when he spawns. Finding him is a whole different beast though. Like Master-Blade said, he can be very hard to spot due to his stealth (I think the last time I fought him, on a flying character, I kept losing my target every time I stopped to attack).
-
Sounds like Weed Whacker, although I'm not sure why a Ruin Mage would give you progress on that.
-
I doubt anybody has reached the cap yet but there's no reason to think it's not the same as merits and tickets (9999). If there were a lower limit (one imposed by design rather than practicality), it would probably be shown to us, like the limit on our Invention salvage storage.

Quote:Didn't see any mention of Pinnacle, my home server on that list of dev stops. Even if they had dropped by, I would have missed it all, being asleep since I had to get up 5 hours after this event.Any news of them dropping in on the EU servers?
No? Didn't think so.
So certainly far less splendid for us then. Or, if you're an EU subscriber, business as usual.
You can't please everybody. -
Holy mojimbo your sig is WAY too large.
Rule of thumb: Your sig should not be 4 times larger than your post unless your post is just a line or two. -
"Dark Armor is a bad Brute secondary because the -ToHit reduces Fury generation."
(There are other arguments re: Fury generation which are less cut-and-dry, but this one is just plain wrong.) -
Supergroups don't get removed for inactivity. I recently managed to gain readmission into an old Supergroup that I used to be in, previously all its members had been inactive for probably at least 3 years.
You seem to be making a lot of assumptions based on how other games work. -
Quote:Yes, it's a known issue. Also, anybody know if there's a bug with the mission where you take out the Legacy Chain army? I was duo-ing with a friend and we were doing all the missions cooperatively together, so we were both at the same point in the story arc, and both had the Coral temp power to make us invulnerable. (Cranked it up to +4s for giggles)
Both of us died a few times. I am okay with maybe a few getting through, and earth does a defense debuff, so dying once or twice as they get in enough lucky hits is fine. But when we came back in after hitting the hospital, my friend didn't have the temp power but I still did. My friend had to hospital it AGAIN and then come back and the power returned.
Known bug, or did I find something odd? -
I had a different issue, related to another bug. I entered the mission with my henchmen only to have them stop reacting to commands (they would say their response text, "orders received" or whatever they say, but wouldn't actually do the thing I told them to do). I did get the temp power though.
I don't understand why Masterminds are finding it necessary to resummon though, I don't think I resummoned once during the entire mission. The temp makes it stupidly easy to tank the thing. -
The text for this arc is really poorly written, making it unclear what exactly you're supposed to do. Here's what Ross tells you for his first mission prompt:
Quote:It makes it sound like you have to have worked for Maros before but I'm pretty sure you don't (the arc wouldn't work in Ouroboros if this were the case, as the game temporarily wipes out all of your contacts old and new while on a Flashback). You can speak with Vince Dubrowski to work with Cage Consortium, and Lorenz Ansaldo to work with the Family. Those who have worked together with Diviner Maros to seek out his aid during these events.
The second mission...
Quote:Those working with Diviner Maros may still speak with their contacts for this mission.
Also, and maybe this is just me being dumb, I didn't realize you have to click those radios to get things started until my second run-through. I didn't even notice them until part-way through my first time running the arc. I thought when my sub-contact said "contact me" it would result in the new "earpiece" dialogues popping up automatically. -
It doesn't have to be Diviner Maros, Lorenz Ansaldo and Vince Dubrowski are the other two "helper" contacts you can choose (but you're stuck with the one you pick on the first mission). Just make sure you talk to the contact before each mission (they may not always have something to say but I like to do it just to be sure), and click on the radio inside the first room of each mission in order to enable their optional objectives.

I think I've done one respec (well, technically 5, but those were all on the same character and only respec #5 came post-I19).

Quote:Pretty clever of Emperor Cole to create fakes of a threat from the future.Nothing said in any of the bios can be taken at face value. Any or all of it could be propaganda (from either side).
The tentacles, assuming they're actually in the game, could also be fakes operated by the State. Since they're conveniently inaccessible I'll believe they're part of a Praetorian Hamidon (or real at all) when and if we get to fight them.
They may not belong to any version of Hamidon, but unless the memory Mender Ramiel was carrying is a fake they are most assuredly real. -
Although it was drawn by Bruce Timm, Conan designed it, so "random button" is a pretty accurate descriptor, actually.

Quote:Same. I inexplicably got all the badges on my villain badger 2 years ago, but I'm having a hell of a time on my hero badger, to the point where I might just give up. None of the suggestions given are helping me this time.I have never, on any toon, with any combinations of all the powers listed, been able to run the slopes successfully.... not even going for a medal... just successfully at all.
I just don't have the "twitchy feel" for it.
I finally gave up and let hubby run a couple toons for the badges.
We had a friend over when Hubby was running his toons one evening, and she says, "OH, that looks so easy... I bet I could do that". So I plunked her down on one of my toons, showed her the controls, and let her have at it.... for an hour solid. She finally gave up too.
Sorry, but I hate,
hate,
hate,
hate the slopes.

Quote:I honestly cannot see the devs doing anything that would encourage speed runs in any way.4. Speed runs. A lot of TFs now have a lot of mob skipping. Dragging pets along usually means they get stripped off the MM pretty fast due to aggro.
MMs should have the ability to stay their pets to a spot regardless of distance (no rubberbanding), but the pets should not be able to attack or respond to new commands when far away (Instant perma-sleep). MMs should also get the ability to recall all of their pets like a team teleport command on a decently fast recharging basis. -
Inertial Reduction from a Kin helps a lot. I managed to get Gold on a character 2 years ago and I'm pretty sure that's how I did it.
I would also like to add that I really really really hate these freakin' badges. -
It has no relevance to lore. It's a game contrivance, just like Merit Vendors.

Quote:Ironically, it's not the new part of the event that's broken, it's the part from last year -- the Winter Lord thing.maybe some people didn't know the winter event was broke at all.
I didn't know there was anything wrong with it. I ran the Winter Lady mish successfully once.
Quote:haha whos crying? I know about the WL problem, Forgive me for speaking more of a buisness standpoint but we knew there was an issue with WL at noon yesterday.. why wait 24 hours to a busy time to down them? and why not tell anyone? just because we can all figure out what it up doesnt mean you shouldnt let people know anymore. besides that it doesnt take to much quality control to test things to make sure there isnt such a blatent issue such as this one is. Got very few complaints about content and some great players in this game, its one of my favorite. Just saying a little curtousy isnt bad when youre taking money from people for a service, maybe im jsut old school that way. sorry ill stop "crying" now lol -
Quote:Really, you can't figure it out? Part of the Winter Event which went live yesterday is broken, and you can't figure out why the servers suddenly went down the next day? It doesn't even occur to you that they're fixing it. Seriously, cry more.they use to give you an idea when they would do patches and updates. now they dont even bother to tell you what they did after its done. I cant imagine they would think its a good idea to drop the servers mid day on a saturday, but nothing developers do ever suprises me. Hopefully they will fix something this time without breaking 5 other things like the past year or so worth of patches.. makes me think theres alot of budget cutbacks at the ole developers place. :P cause the workmanship is dropping month by month... really really cant figure out why the servers are down at 2pm on a saturday lol guess ill have to blow the dust off my WoW account til CoH wants to be useable again. shame.
An announcement thread would have been nice though. -
The servers aren't even up back yet, be patient.
