The Gamemaster need to remove
or
add a checkbox (use if you want to)

to the "RANK DROP" in guild menu

the reason is 2

(1) most of my guild has or will jump ship when any new game come out ( AKA: Warcaft CAT,Halo,Assain Creed....ect)
and when their gone im all that left and if i dont log on in the 45 day all my toon drop in rank and if all of them are same rank the guild goes with them ( i have a great super base)
and right now it harder to find the money to keep COH going every month but if i dont want my guild to dissapper i need to pay to keep my guild up (i know that the guild will dissapper as it happen when WARCRAFT buring Curasde went live - i had a 8 room base anda 50 person guild that went to **** when it went live and my guild vansihed )

(First of all, a friendly warning: don't use "guild" - use SuperGroup or SG for short )

The 45 days auto-demotion only affects the "Leader" (Hero-side) or "Overlord" (Villain-side) rank - which is the highest rank. All other ranks are unaffected.

If the "Leader/Overlord" is demoted, then the character belonging to the super group who was most recently logged in will automatically be assigned the rank of "Leader/Overlord", which can be a problem if it's not someone who you trust: the SG will not "disappear" as much as you'll have a tough time to getting back the keys to the front door...

This was added to avoid the problems caused by SG leaders leaving the game and leaving the SG without the ability to do things for itself. Adding this option would go against the reasoning for it being there in the first place.

Even people that intend to keep running the SG might run into RL issues that suddenly take them out of the game, or keep them from returning when they planned to. It's not fair to the other players that have invested heavily in the SG to let this disable their full enjoyment of all they've worked for.

This would be, I think, a bad idea.

Supergroups don't get removed for inactivity. I recently managed to gain readmission into an old Supergroup that I used to be in, previously all its members had been inactive for probably at least 3 years.

You seem to be making a lot of assumptions based on how other games work.

Yeah, looks like you're... very misinformed as to how things work as far as SG and SG member inactivity.

- The only person who drops in rank (potentially) for not logging in after a set amount of time is the "superleader." And that's only if someone else logs in (or someone else of the next highest rank... don't quote me on that right now.)

- The SG does not disappear.

- The base does not disappear. Though if it's been long enough since you paid rent, you may have to /petition to have the power reactivated. But just try paying the upkeep first when you come back.

- Nobody else's rank changes.

In addition to the explanations the above commenters have provided, I just want to add that asking for changes based on the fact that it inconveniences you when you want to leave this game and go play something else is not the most persuasive argument ever.

Super Leaders can promote or demote any player in the Supergroup, including themselves. With the new position, Leader rank players will not be auto-demoted due to inactivity. This is reserved only for Super Leaders, who will be demoted back to Leader rank and the most recent Leader promoted in their place. There can be only one Super Leader.

It's usually a good idea to learn how the game actually works before making a suggestion. Especially if you're the type of player that comes and goes for months or longer at a time. Lot's of changes occur each time a new issue is added while people are away playing other games.
