Connected for non-Villains
If you're a full villain, go to Oroboros. The arc is in there.
I got it on one of my level 50 villains by running the arc through Oro.

There are two badges you can get from that arc, Eislor-- Keeper of Coral Lore, which I know I can get, and Connected, which is the one I'm wondering about.
Yes, my hero that became a villain ran the arc twice to get both badges. You only need to run the arc once if you do it right.
If you pay attention to the text and talk to ? Diviner Maros ? each time you are supposed to near the ferry, you will begin his internal arc (and I've heard maybe other contacts work as well, but that's who I use). The other tricky part is talking to the radio inside the entrance of the missions. The reason I had to repeat it was I missed one of the radios and then couldn't continue with the internal arc.

Yes. My L50 blaster became a villain and never had any low level villain contacts. Using Ouro, I could get the arc from Ross. During the arc, I could talk to ? Diviner Maros ? to get the other badge.
Of course, you have to know where to find ? Maros ? (near the Ferry in Sharkhead), because he won't appear in the contact list during the OB arc or otherwise. As long as you find him, he will talk to you, unlike other contacts during an OB arc or TF/SF.
It doesn't have to be Diviner Maros, Lorenz Ansaldo and Vince Dubrowski are the other two "helper" contacts you can choose (but you're stuck with the one you pick on the first mission). Just make sure you talk to the contact before each mission (they may not always have something to say but I like to do it just to be sure), and click on the radio inside the first room of each mission in order to enable their optional objectives.

We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
Also of note is that only Diviner Maros has a sub-objective for the second mission, Lorenz and Vince don't.
The important part to remember about the Connected badge is that it requires talking to your sub-contact without Vincent's mission briefing explicitly telling you to. You'll notice that most mission briefings Vincent gives end with blue text saying "those working with other contacts should talk to them", except one towards the end.
This is a dirty trick. You still need to talk to the contact to the badge. In fact, it's the most important time to talk to your sub-contact.
Oh, also I think you cannot actually choose Diviner Maros as sub-contact unless you already finished his story-arc. Shame, really, because I liked Diviner Maros little arc-inside-the-arc the most.
The text for this arc is really poorly written, making it unclear what exactly you're supposed to do. Here's what Ross tells you for his first mission prompt:
You can speak with Vince Dubrowski to work with Cage Consortium, and Lorenz Ansaldo to work with the Family. Those who have worked together with Diviner Maros to seek out his aid during these events. |
The second mission...
Those working with Diviner Maros may still speak with their contacts for this mission. |
Also, and maybe this is just me being dumb, I didn't realize you have to click those radios to get things started until my second run-through. I didn't even notice them until part-way through my first time running the arc. I thought when my sub-contact said "contact me" it would result in the new "earpiece" dialogues popping up automatically.

I tried talking to Maros, but I hadn't done his story arc before and he wouldn't talk to me at all. Since he didn't talk to me, and I didn't have either of the other contacts either, I skipped out on all that stuff. I am now disappointed. Will have to try again through Orouboros sometime.
Also, anybody know if there's a bug with the mission where you take out the Legacy Chain army? I was duo-ing with a friend and we were doing all the missions cooperatively together, so we were both at the same point in the story arc, and both had the Coral temp power to make us invulnerable. (Cranked it up to +4s for giggles)
Both of us died a few times. I am okay with maybe a few getting through, and earth does a defense debuff, so dying once or twice as they get in enough lucky hits is fine. But when we came back in after hitting the hospital, my friend didn't have the temp power but I still did. My friend had to hospital it AGAIN and then come back and the power returned.
Known bug, or did I find something odd?

So is it possible for someone who was already 50 heroside before they went red to get the "Connected" bonus badge for Vincent Ross' arc? My understanding is that the badge involves working with contacts that are too low a level for such a character to actually have.
