  1. Unlock the Lore Incarnate slot in I20 and a Mk-VI Victoria pet is yours.
  2. Of course there's a point. You have to have one Hero badger, one Villain badger, one Rogue badger, and one Vigilante badger.

    What a silly question.
  3. People still pay for costume changes?

Anyway, seems like a pretty meaningless badge that could be obtained in about 5 minutes. /unsigned, give me something worth doing

    1. Temps are disabled in order to prevent Shivans and nukes from being (ab)used to make the run easier.
    2. Yes, the "no deaths" stipulation does put an unwanted pressure on the whole thing, which I suspect is why the Master runs for Apex and Tin Mage have different requirements (that and because of how often people die on those TFs). The Master runs for the BAF and Lambda Sector trials next issue will work similarly to those, so I suspect old style Master Runs will remain a thing of the past as far as future badges goes.

Right now you won't get a response from /bug 100% of the time.
  6. Tossing in my vote for Grav/Kin. Grav slows down, Kin speeds up (and slows down).

  8. Everything is relative. One person's "completely reasonable amount of playtime" is another person's "grinding".

The idea that this could possibly happen seems to be eluding you, so I think I'll just leave it here and agree to disagree.

  10. Haha wow, no wonder the guide looked so much like my Blaster's build.

Please go back and read my post. They released an actual standalone costume creator. Not hypothetically, it was an actual thing, and it happened after the lawsuit.

I wish I could find some reference to this on the wiki but unsurprisingly I can't, probably due to how little interest there was in it.

I knew there was something I was forgetting.

But they've been doing this since day 1. Heroes are registered with the FBSA and are forced to work with an origin-specific department. Villains are Destined Ones. There are countless examples of the game forcing you into its lore, I don't see why this is any different.

Presumably the Orestes Rifle only works on Incarnates who took the easy path to power, not True Incarnates like Tyrant.

    Missing a badge

In Praetoria it is very possible to miss some badges, since your contacts forget you once you leave. Specifically, the badges for choosing a Loyalist outcome in a Morality mission (Loyalist), Resistance outcome (Resistance Member), and completing 5 Moral Choice missions (Moral High Ground). The badge Avid Reader in the Praetorian tutorial can also be missed since there is presently no way to go back to the tutorial.

I don't believe there are currently any missable badges on Primal Earth (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Efficiency Expert can be failed (and it only gets awarded to the mission owner, so you can't team for it) and isn't available in Ouro, but since Pither is a 45-50 contact that's not a big deal. The hero and villain explore badges (as well as the blueside Isolator defeat badge) in the tutorial can be obtained during the Ouroboros intro arc from the Pilgrim, which can be flashbacked in the 45-50 range.

Of course, it goes without saying that the anniversary event badges can be missed, so make sure you grab the 7th one this May. Other event badges also used to be missable, but in recent years it has become possible to obtain the previous year's badges each year when the event rolls around (Winter Event, for instance, allows you to purchase previous badges with Candy Canes).
  15. Why would Ken Watanabe be in a flashback? is Bruce really going to be looking back on his defeat of Not Ra's al Ghul?

I doubt it, since Cryptic released one ages ago around the same time City of Hero was released in Korea. The available costume pieces were never updated as new ones were released and support was eventually dropped.
  17. Saving a costume already saves proportions.

But yeah, actual numbers would be nice. "Just a skosh to the right" is not a height. 5'10" is a height.

You learn abbreviations by asking what they mean when you don't know them. I can only imagine your shock when you discovered that Mo Kahn means "Master of Dr. Kahn's Task Force" which entails not dying once during the TF.

Most abbreviations (except perhaps some obscure ones) can also be found on the wiki.

At a minimum, the cut scenes could have voices. I realize that adding voices for regular mobs outside of TFs would make the client too fat , but for just TFs - it shouldnt be too bad.
    nononononononononononononononononononononono

    No.

The last thing I want in this game is the atrocious voice acting of "the other game".

Mentioning Incarnate powers and then saying 'Such as the Well of Furies, etc etc' would have been just fine. It would also have let people determine their own source of power, wether it was indeed the Well or a deity, or spirits, or uber high-tech, or shear consumption of enough anti-freeze that they became more super and 100% more blue.

But, no, we instead get straight-jacketed with 'The Well is GOD! OBEY THE WELL MYTHOS!', which I still don't buy frankly, and nor do most of my characters, IC or OOC.
    *shrug*
Presumably the devs want to drive their own game's story forward by tying characters into the lore. I don't really see the problem here, can't you just ignore the parts you don't like and make up your own reasoning?
  21. Actually, yeah, Shocking Bolt combined with your other two holds will let you hold EBs with ease, especially with a Lockdown proc slotted into one of them. Makes Trapdoor the easiest fight ever.

You wouldn't have nearly enough recipe inventory for this, however, not even if you stored some in e-mails. At most you can hold 54 between inventory and e-mails, however you would also need to hold the salvage for them. With a maximum salvage storage capacity of 85 (plus e-mail storage for extra salvage), the most you could hope to craft in battle would be 34.

But that would still be silly.
  24. Very thorough guide, as someone who has been playing an Elec^3 since just before Issue 5 I don't see a thing wrong with it. One minor note: you mention that Hasten provides +Def; it hasn't done this in ages.
