You don't need to start all new characters in Praetoria, just your first one. Create a new toon and you'll be able to start in Paragon City.
-
ParagonWiki says Issue 18-ish, but it doesn't look like it was mentioned in the patch notes for that Issue (or any patch notes around that time, from what i can tell). I guess it could have been a stealth fix.

I don't see any reason to nerf the enemies either, at least not in this regard. (I would certainly LOVE it if they cut out the "phasing while mezzed" garbage.) They're supposed to be hard. Might as well just reduce the pets summoned to just the Phantasm if you're aiming to make it easier.

Quote:Just so we're clear, are you actually arguing that the devs should nerf a powerset that players get?It runs a line between real and not real incorrectly. The Decoys stay around after the summoner is dead, they can hurt you, but you can't hurt or get rid of it in any way.
If ANY one of these things was changed I would be okay with it. Why should a decoy have the ability to damage you?
/unsigned like gangbusters, thanks for playing -
Quote:Actually, Alanis has admitted that her 19 year-old self didn't know what she was talking about. She's pointing out the incongruity of what you believe your situation to be and what the reality of the situation actually is. This, my friend, is almost a dictionary definition of irony. It says to me that Alanis Morissette is very well aware of what irony is, and even if she took some artistic license in giving examples, she most certainly doesn't deserve all of the grief she's gotten over this song.
WHICH IS ITSELF IRONIC!! -
Quote:The word "superteam" is generally associated with a team consisting of a single AT/primary/secondary/unique combo, so yeah, it's an easy mistake to make if you're not looking really closely.Yeah I think you are right ....im pretty sure everyone thinks this thread is about lvling MA archtypes in MA not using farms....
Also it looks like at least 3 people (myself included, until I read the original post) made the same mistake so it looks like everyone DID think that was what the thread was for. So I accept your apology. -

Please, I still have the boxes for some of my old SNES games.

Quote:I managed to make a Carnie-ish regular costume, and am still holding out that the devs will finally start giving us enemy group costume pieces so I can make one that looks better.Well whatever the true reason is, I wish the devs would give us the answer. I'd really like to know why it's like this.
I had basically wanted a concept character but now it's botched, all because of Shadow Fall. Not that my character is unplayable, just a concept I wanted and can't do it. She still performs just as I hoped, but kinda bummed I can't use the costume now.
Oh well, at least I have another 50 I suppose -
Quote:*cough* wrong MAI have a 50 MA/SR, accod but not entirely IOd and not Alphad, throw me a global @Neuronia when rolling and I might help out.
Not your fault, the OP didn't specify which MA they meant at all. Unless they meant an MA superteam leveled exclusively in MA, but the original post didn't specify that. -
A supergroup (whose names escapes me at the moment) hosted a costume contest in Pinnacle's Pocket D just this past...I want to say Friday?
A costume contest is gonna have better turnout if you advertise it in a global channel versus Atlas Broadcast. People don't spend as much time in Atlas anymore because there are more places (and more interesting places) to spend time. -
Gosh, and here I thought I was being creative with that exact same concept. Hope we don't run into each other on Pinnacle, Beef_Cake!
Anyway, yeah, I'd like to see that changed too, it also screws with my shape-shifting /Energy Aura character's concept when he runs Energy Cloak. If it's a matter of the costumes including a Stealth component (which I'm reasonably sure is not the case), then they could (and should) just remove that component. The costumes should be purely aesthetic anyway. -
This has been aggravating me since day 1 of tips and I wish they would fix it.

Quote:...until the dark day when the devs introduce the dreaded "Your Mom" NPC. She frequently pops up as the "new contact" window asking you if you're doing okay, if you're eating enough, do you have enough laundry, you never call anymore...People will also respond to you when you enter a "how do I do this" or "where's this" message in broadcast, and the answer is unlikely to be "your mom."
...sorry, I went away for a second. Welcome to the game, OP! This was my first MMO as well, and the only one I've really played at all. I've tried a Certain Other superbeing MMO, and all it did was make me LOL. We've been blessed with a dev team who lately has been giving us, the players, everything we've been asking for in the past 7 years. By now it must be a bit daunting to get into such an old game (I thought so and I started shortly after the first year!), but there'll always be plenty of help. -
Quote:Yes, yes, and you'd better believe it.*I seem to have missed these "best efforts." What was done? Were threats made? Were people banned? Were any animals harmed in the making of these efforts?
*"Best efforts" = "not using that acronym and deliberately not pointing out that they didn't use the acronym"
Quote:I'd hate to have people be immature about a superhero computer game! -
I did it in Peregrine, myself, down by the docks. I've heard that they're more plentiful in FBZ, but I would imagine you're traveling larger distances there.

I'm gonna declare now that "kick things up a notch" is the next "take things to the next level".

This idea could have been a neat alternate way to implement the Incarnate System. Unlike many people I don't have a problem with the way it's been implemented story-wise, but it still would have been cool to have it tie directly into your origin.
-
Just to clarify, because I'm that sort of guy:
WST = Weekly Strike Target = (next week) Manticore TF/Renault SF
WSF = Weekly Strike Force = Renault
WTF = Weekly Task Force = Manticore = an incredibly immature acronym that a majority of the playerbase seems to have adopted despite the devs' best efforts at discouraging it -
Quote:1. There was no nerf, random is random. Someday the devs will nerf insane conspiracy theories, and I will be joyous.Do you have any idea how long that is gonna take?! I don't even have anyone at tier 4 of the Alpha slot yet, and to be honest that's nowhere near happening. I have three characters I am seriously pursuing incarnate stuff with, and its veeeeeeery slow going, Especially since we seem to have recently underwent a shard-drop nerf.
Nice idea, but I won't see that pet for literally years.
2. You don't need Alpha (or any other Incarnate slot) slotted up to tier 4 to unlock Lore.
3. You can select the Mk-VI Victoria pet on tier 1 of Lore. Might take you a couple runs of the BAF Trial to unlock. No more time than you invested in the tier 1 Alpha.
There, no more excuses. You got your pet. Enjoy, be happy. -
Quote:Which is a ridiculous idea for a badge. That would be like the devs creating an entire series of badges for not even playing! This.
Badges for playing alts? Sure.
This isn't a badge for playing them though. This is a badge for sitting in the character creation screen for a couple hours creating and deleting characters over and over. It doesn't have anything to do with actually playing the game, which is what badges are awarded for.
