The slide you refer to is a paid-for prestige sprint and not a selectable. You would need an entire new power pool to shove it into if you wanted it as a "real" travel power available to everyone, and it would essentially be Super Speed reskinned.
If that's what you're proposing, I apologize, but you were immensely unclear. -
A.C.C.A.H.U.D.
I have a character who is a Mutant, but wears power armor because that's the only way his powers are actually useful in anything resembling a combat situation. -

I want a bug free game.

Doesn't exist. -
People don't post on the forums because one of the major steps to hating the game/it becoming unfun is "Start reading the forums and finding out how much you suck, and how much the game sucks, and how much people will stick around for so very long to ***** about it".
-
I think you're going to have a hard time getting the devs behind this, because the sentiment has been expressed in the past that getting to keep 10 after a respec is being nice. >_>
-
Dark Age of Camelot tried this. One of their devs went on record saying it was the one of the worst things they ever implemented.
-
That's actually somewhat impressive, but I'd probably rather have the local friends in the character's detail box, and have a separate detail box for global friends.

Your edict against "no" and /jranger type posts was at least 4 years late.

I'm sure they'll get those to stop when they get /signed to stop, because both kinds of posts are equally useless. -

Spears, gun-fu, quarterstaff fighting, energy rifle, anything that deforms the player avatar.. -

And I didn't realize how brawl works (or might work) until you explained it here.

Fun trivia:
Brawl has been cited as the longest/most intricately/most complex animated power in the game, I believe. -
Well.. considering Council is just barely above a fluffy kitten on threat level to most heroes, I'd say they don't really need to change anything, then. Stopping you from having access to your powers does slow you down - and it can be lethal in some situations.

The solutions I've been pondering (mix and match to taste):
1. Force all custom groups used to spawn a group (ambush, normal mission group, boss henchmen, what have you) to implement at least one minion, one lieutenant, one boss. Groups used to spawn only a single critter do not have this restriction, but groups that spawn actual -spawns- do. To clarify: If I have Dalantia spawn from the Dawn Initiates group, I cannot use the Dawn Initiates group (which is only Elite Bosses and Bosses) to spawn the group around him, I must use the Circle of Dawn (which is a full enemy group, including minions, lts, and bosses) to actually spawn his entourage.
2. Give all custom MA critters some type of ranged attack. Or give all critters a -fly attack and immob/snare resist (A "glitch in the system") that they can use only when they go into "I'm being griefed" mode.
3. Dock rewards from non-minion custom critters with one or both powersets at Easy down one rank (Like Family/Prisoners) beginning at 30.
4. All normal game critters, when implemented into a custom critter group, return to normal experience/influence payouts by level and rank.
5. Revamp critter Dual Blades to include some of the combo effects that they're balanced around within the attacks instead of the combos.
I really would prefer the MA keep as much functionality as possible... but I'd rather minimize the damage and inconvenience some than tac-nuke it and ruin it for all. >_< -

This forum needs the patience of the guy sweeping cigs at Disneyworld

How much are you paying me, or the rest of the forum?
Nothing?
To be blunt: exactly how much patience do you think you're going to get from someone who you act condescending to and start taking shots at, yet isn't paid to put up with you? -
My computers have a habit of hiccuping pretty hard when I do a flyby of an AE building, especially a crowded one.
They don't do that around crowded other buildings.
Purely anecdotal, but there you go.
The game's had a lot of graphical tuneups, and the computer that could run it full blast at launch now cannot run it (at an acceptable speed) even with all graphics set to low. -
I suspect if they put it in Pocket D, it'd wind up being a separate zone (dubbed Pocket AE) with the same level requirement (35).
As it stands, 35 seems to be the minimum cutoff for permanent co-op. Change that before worrying about the rest. -
PvP issues, then base raiding/design, then CoP. That's the order it goes.
-
..My character in the rafters was actually pretty upbeat. I would be grumpy if.. "people", and I use that term loosely, were able to harass him just because he likes people to have a hard time bothering him when he's doing something else.

We happily pay a monthly rate to play this game that is higher than most of your competitors

Source, please. $15 is, to my knowledge, industry standard. -
*is actually looking around for it right now, because his partner is slooooow* >_>
I was, actually, referring to coat items. My Crab's trenchcoat got cut off at the waist when I got the crab backpack, and I don't seem to be able to have any other animated pieces like it with that character. It would remain to be seen if a girlcrab could have an exception, but I am unsure. -

I've never heard of an Only One Animated Piece rule. Would it be possible to get a link to it?
[/ QUOTE ]
That's a fair request. However, I recall it being from around the time Trenchcoats and wings were introduced, which means that it could very easily have been purged by now. I will look for it (later, not right now - I want to play, damnit, not forum delve), but I cannot make promises on finding it.
I recall that the core of it was, however, that they didn't want one character taking up too much processing power to animate, and restricting characters to only one of "Cape, wings, or trenchcoat" was a way to do that.
However, the thrust remains the same. If we're making an exception for the Bolero, then frankly, they need to make an exception for Crab backpacks, trenchcoats, wedding tuxes, et cetera. Otherwise... -
The problem is consistency.
Already, there's the Bridal Veil exception - I don't really think that there needs to be more exceptions to the "Only One Animated Piece" rule. (I don't think the veil should be an exception at all, actually, and think it should block capes like anything else.)
If they're going to have a hard limit on how many animated costume pieces we can have, they need to stick to it.
(Frankly, if they implement this, I want my Crab's trenchcoat back before anyone gets their wings.) -
No, because once you do that, you get into unpleasant areas like being able to swap while in a Task Force.
-
I'd actually like a similar rubric to the complaints screen - star rating and comment.
