    "Are you a god?"

When someone asks you if you're a god, you say "YES"!

I'm sure if KB did meaningful extra damage based on the distance knocked back (which is both logical and thematic), it would be more popular.
  3. It's died a considerable amount to me, especially the CRPG genre (damn you Bioware and Bethesda ).

The fact that you have to wait until level 35+ is problem. The only way I'll make and play a character is if the costume is completely finalized at character creation (costume recipes being the exception). I wouldn't be opposed to turning all unlockable pieces into costume recipes that drop upon completion of the required task. Of course that would mean the badge unlockables would need a change so that they are repeatable.

Unlock them at level 38. Given the nature of most tier-9 secondaries, giving players the choice of taking them or taking their first epic pool power would make for some interesting build options. While the epics usually help "round out" a character, many/most tier-9's are "extreme situation" aspects of the archetype. (Elude, for example, offers extreme defense values, while many of the ancillaries offer a controller-y power at the first level.)

    - It wouldn't necessarily be game-breaking
    - It would open up more power selection variation
    - Now that fitness is inherent, it offers additional power options in their place (people could choose all 5 epics.)

    Of course,
Does it NEED to be done? No.
Is it necessarily a bad idea? No.
    I like this.

  10. I'd trade a bunch of power selections for slots on my Warshade. So many worthless powers.

Bah, that's exactly what I don't want to see. What would work IMO is something like Hellblazer or Ex Machina...hell pretty much any Vertigo series would be cool.
  12. I can't see any actual super powered comic book characters working well on a TV series. Too little budget and not enough action to really capture the spirit of the major superheroes.

Assault would mean Dual Pistols with Martial Arts and the possibility for a Gun + Sword set. And Gun + Bayonet. And Melee Knife + Throwing Knife. And so on and so forth. *salivates at the possibilities and lack of redraw*

    *edit*

That could be the gimmick of the new AT, two half-size primary attack pools (ranged and melee) that you can combine in different ways.

Recent content seems to suggest this is now less likely the case than it was before, but as long as we have a Vanguard set which costs 1000 Merits, Rularuu weapons which require 100 level 40+ Overseers which always spawn in groups of twos and threes, Nictus Romulus items which require doing the ITF twice on the same character and Rikti weapons which can only be unlcoked in rare, annoying, lag-infested events, I choose to disbelief that anything has changed in a meaningful way.
    This, this, and this.

I don't like to sit on items so I only roll at 25, 30, and 35 and I save my tickets, r-merits and a-merits until I am at those levels or until I am 50. This is just something I do to limit the risk of my rolls.
If only that level slider set the recipe's level.

Of course they're not going to look as good as if they were filmed on a bleeding edge modern camera, but they will look a hell of a lot better than any DVD release. And the Superman Blu-Ray does look a hell of a lot better than the DVD. The movies that don't look better on Blu-Ray than DVD were filmed on regular digital cameras, incredibly shoddy film stock, or mishandled during conversion (e.g. the pure evil of DNR).
