  1. From what one of my PC technofreaks told me is that the PhysX does work in the game it just doesn't show the option being available or give any indication of it being active.

    Then again he did also say that there were wilford brimely ninjas trying to kill him though...

    Take it for what you will.
  2. Regarding CO I too played that game for about three days then gave up due to too many negative factors surrounding the games mechanics.

    Granted there are some really nice additions and changes they made t othe game that improved upon the CoX design ,however what they got right was heavily outweighed by what they got wrong.

    At best the game is highly unrefined so you will have to take into account that they might fix much of the games glaring flaws over time.

    Personally I perfer the CoX style of gameplay over other MMO's which is why I never got into WoW due to it's hit or miss style since I personally dislike the Fantasy setting in RPG games and perfer a modern day or furturistic style.

    As far as I16 going live I figure it will be about a week before it officially goes live.

    Sadly I would have laughed at Marvel harder if they followed through with Cryptic to make what has now become Champions Online.

    Face it that game is broken and inconsistent beyond repair.

    OP you do realise that this warrants me to quote my grandfather by stating "Too little too damn late."

    If the Devs were going ot have implimented the AE in it's own zone we would have had it by now.

IMO CoX is one of the better MMO games I have played.Other MMOs include PSO,MxO (before sony killed it with lack of anything) and with that said after playing the CO (Champions Online) beta recently I am genuinely bored with it since I hate WoW as a whole (GUI doesn't help much,mission system is non exsistent w/o any add-ons.)

    What make's CO less enjoyable for me is the fact that without waypoints I have no indication of what I am meant to do without randomly guessing at how I am meant to get anything done.

    An example of this is where I am meant to rescue dipsticks X,Y and Z only to die due to getting ganked by enemies who make the block power useless often resulting in dying and lossing complete track of which hiding holes you've checked already which ultimetly boils down to systematically going through each induvidual section over and over again until you can find the last screwball just so I can return to my contact and do it all again!

    What does this mean?It means I often become frustrated ,rage quit and log into CoX just to get the "Action MMO" bad taste out of my mouth.

    With WoW the missions become more like minor suggestions than actual missions since I never know where exactly I am suposed to go until I stumble over it.Even after I read the mission description without a waypoint letting me know i'm getting warmer my play session ended up being "congradulations you figured out where you were meant ot go" thus making me mutter "Bother this nonsense" and had back to this game which is a game I would rather see more of than play a game where all I seem to do it play fetch.

    What does this have to do with rasing the level cap in this game? Absolutly bloddy nothing.If this game were imitating WoW's interface and gameplay system it wouldn't have the reputation it has now after 5+ years of operation.Granted there are things the Devs have done which has caused me to raise an eyebrow from time to time (AE banhammer scare followed by the Going Rouge annoucment) however that isn't so bad that people won't see this game for the shining gem that it is.

    If they raised the level cap it would unbalaced and invalidate a large amount of content (Purple IOs ,leveling system,even having HEAT and VEAT unlocking criteria) which would mena having to overhaul nearly every aspect of the game to rebalance and repolish what has a mirror shine now.

    Short version:

    No rasing the level cap would be a bad idea overall.

Presently I have two accounts.One for myself (primary) and one for my wife (secondary) and since I play much more than she does both are paid by myself naturally.It would be nice to have my primary account become a lifetime subscription and keep paying for my wife's since it would help me save some money (especially at this point in time after my hours got cut) while still paying normal price for my wife's game account.

    I've played the CO beta recently an it just feels like too much busy work (i.e. to go location x,kill/save person y and return to z to do it again 5 or so times without any real veriety) and personally I would NOT pay 15 bucks a month for that game.

    If I had the cash I would only consider playing it if I had a lifetime sub since I wouldnt have to worry about paying extra cash to play the WoW/CoH knockoff (face it folks that's exactly what it is from the interface all the way down to the sound effects and animations.)

    I'm probably going to get some flak for that but screw it,it is the truth.I've paid for this game since I like it but if I had that chance to get a lifetime deal I would and still keep paying for my second account plus the perk boosters that they release not to mention the extra toon slots and what have you.

    Also to Ironblade are you sure you didn't get chased by fairies with hammers? Maybe a disgruntled Wilford Brimley shouting Diabeetus at you perhaps?

  11. I would love to see a reduction in the fabricator badge requirment since making what 1,000 inventions not only takes forever but i've heard that faries will hack you with toy hammers if you try to get this badge.

    I t just isn't worth the risk.

  13. I currently have a level 38 Dark Melle/ Stone Armor brute and I am looking for sudgestions on IOing out this bad boy.

    what i'm looking for is survivability (due to wife agro i'm constantly having to go AFK and it can get annoying lol.)

    Also i'm looking for your opinions of which powers to take from DM since i've been skipping the other armors due to focusing on Granite specifically.
  14. If they had the time to put into it they could adjust the Dual Build system to where it does NOT reset any of the powers if they were already activated or recharging.

    All in all this isn't so much of a bad idea just more of one that would end up being more problematic than others.

  16. I'm not sure if this has been sidgested already since I found nothing due to my Search-Fu so here it goes.

    My sudgestion for "weapon" custiomization would be asian themed shields since we have none and my /SD Brute is sad since his Samurai armor doesn't fit anything I have (maybe Rularuu)

    tailor in base?

    I wish we could have a Tailor at our base along with BM acess too since that would make bases more viable since people would encounter less lass in thier own base.

  18. Originally I played on Infinity.After the fallout of the AE fiasco the population dropped too low for my tastes (hardly anyone was on when I was playing) and migrated to Virtue where my friends and I have been playing since.

    I have one or two toons of Freedom however I hardly play them period
  19. I16's difficulty options should be allow us farmers to settle the market more since it will allow us to solo fam maps without having to find fillers which should increase our recipe and salvage issues since AE launched.

What's been aggrevating me about the new boards are the quick reply function not workingfor some God foresaken reason and the fact that ANY of the guides previously posted before the migration took place no longer function which means if I wanted to look at the MM keybind guide i'm not able to due to the migration.I've checked a ton of guide links and NONE of them work...period which for me anyway is a big issue since I am constantly viewing and comparing my builds to the sample builds others post to see if I can draw some inspiration.

    Overall I do like the new look of the forums but not at the cost of half the links posted pre-migration seemed to have never moved.

    If the Devs can fix these two issues I would be very much thankful for it sin ce i've noticed that before the switch I had the forums page set as one of my stationary tabs using FireFox ,but now I only ocasinally come here and have long since closed my tab due to the seemingly daunting task of finding a guide link that still works.

    Update: I figured out what I was doing wrong for the Quick Reply.I'm still irritated that I ave to specify someone just to use the QR function.

    Well guess what? I am a good MM player AND I know full well how to play with brutes and other melee based ATs.

    Also since I maintain my agro and pet KB powers I tend to pick off mobs 1 by one rather than allow my pets off the leash.

    As to your point I can agree with you that poor M players often cause more frustration than they really should.

    All in all I'd recomend you pointing them to the Mastermind section of these forums for the infamous keybind command guide (which I use and love it) and once they learn how to play thier AT porperly they will no longer be nooblets and then become newbs...

    On second thought screw it,just sign out and go play SF4 or something to pass the time till the noobs leave lol.(bare in mind this last comment is not to be taken literally.)

    Speaking as a person who has played 3 ATs (2 Villain and 1 Hero) to 50 long before the AE was introduced and has 3 going on 4 lvl 50s due to the AE I must say that it is my opinion that no matter what you do the AE farming isn't going away anytime soon.

    Many people on the forums have been whining on about how the AE is killing the game when they fail to realize that only the AE babies are getting bored and leaving not the realy players like myself and many many others still playing this game today.

    Making the difficulty slider only apply to normal missions would not only require the Dev team to rework the code to seperate the two mission groups but also make it more likely for exploits to appear and quite frankly I think we have had enough of the xploits for one year (Tiki LT farm anyone?)

    All in all I belive adding the difficulty slider would not only help farmers like myself restore some purples and other much needed items back onto the BM but also encourage players to test thier mettle and thknoage of thesince I love to challenge myself solo but I don't like bugging people to anchor a map while i set it and look for other players willing to sit around for no viable reason.

    Long story short (I know "Too late.") I welcome the difficulty slider option for it is much needed and will more than likely cause farmers to be able to work on Develoer made content in hopes of gaining more recipes instead of just hoping to find people for AE missions for the sake of a decent challenge.
