I don't think you guys understand the seriousness of this. Its been in there for two weeks now. A customer I had at the time had the song playing in a loop with her other favorites. I was stuck working on that house for 6 hours. I ended up having to listen to that song over and over again sometimes hearing just random bits or muted through the attic. Man she had that stuff cranked to 11. The song is Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. That part of the song thats just nonsense keeps repeating itself over and over in my head. Even Blue October's Into the Ocean which normally will kill any song I've gotten stuck in there wont work on this one. That why I resorted to Ducktales and the other stuff listed above. They're normally things I try to get rid of. I figured I'd replace it with a lesser evil.

Have you ever had a song get stuck in your head? I've got one stuck and I cant get rid of it. Nothing I've tried listneing to will get rid of it. I've tried Numa Numa, Duck Tails, Animaniacs, and a few others and no dice. Does anyone know of a really catchy tune that I can use to get rid of this song? Its driving me nuts.

My favorite corruptor is an AR/Kin. Its a very late bloomer. Way too much fun though. Solo he does well with basic attacks and the occasional immob/ignite combo for some fun. My favorite thing to do with him is still getting him on tfs and using FS/ignite on anything I can get immobbed. What can I say? I really like ignite.

The oddest one I've ever gotten was, "Needs more cowbell."

The following post is just my opinions.

Why do players power level? The answer varies based on the many posts I've read on this forum. There are a couple of common answer that I've noticed though.

1. I've played this content so much its stale to me.
2. Level 50's get to do all the cool stuff. I want it now.
3. Most of the content is replayable so why would I want to do it now with less slots and weaker powers.
4. Everyone else is doing it.
5. The pre-SO levels suck.
6. I pvp so I just want to hit 50, slot my sets, and start playing my favorite part of the game.

There is no major incentive for many players to play the original content of the game. The veterans dont want to do it because they've been there done that. The new players don't want to do it because their first in game experience is often the latest AE farm. The quickest path to 50 often leads to less involvement in your character. I still have my first 50. It took me nearly a year to get there. I've had other 50s since then but they didn't feel like they were as much of an achievement. These exploitative farms that people are using to power level are in my opinion lessening the achievement of attaining a level 50.

The fix was needed to alleiviate the symptoms of the problem and I have every bit of faith in the development team to implement a better fix, that will impact story writers less, in the near future. However the problem will still remain. There needs to be incentive to play through the story arcs and other content of the game that has an impact on your character other than exp or loot and it needs to be level locked. Maybe not initially so that older 50s can have a chance to get the rewards but after a certain time yes the rewards for doing these tasks needs to be level locked so that if you want the new shiny you have to go play the content while your in that level range.

The new rewards could be anything from special salvage that could be used as a wild card in any recipe, new costume parts, or special auto powers that give you a 1-5% chance of negating a specific damage type for a few seconds. These are just ideas. Don't get bent out of shape over X reward would break the game. I'm just trying to suggest a general idea for a solution with a few examples that will probably never be used.

I need some help with making this build work in pvp. I dont really need Mids builds so much as I need experienced advice. I'm having trouble hitting people and I'm having trouble with players who hibernate and then phase shift. Do I need those get out of jail free cards to even be able to have a chance?

I'm also having the same problem. Even on reinstall the updater keeps trying to "fix" the files.

I'm not sure if the set feels underpowered to me. When I played it during closed beta it did feel a bit underwhelming before the changes. After the changes it played much better for me. I'm gonna have to try on live and slowly build my toon up from 1 to get an idea of how to handle the set's abilities.

I did have this idea about using the toxic ammo on bosses to cut down on the damage I take. I wonder how the set performs with chilling embrace from the Ice secondary. I'm sure someone will chime in with a suggestion of a better secondary but I do like the idea of stacking damage debuffs with toxic ammo. Anyone think thats a viable strategy?

When you you take away all the extras like story and names the missions in this game basically comes down to this simple statement, Some noun did some verb so now you must verb his noun. I'd just like some new stories and some new instances to discover those stories in.

Maybe the new foe is a shadow shard reflection of yourself. Rularuu has been quiet for way to long. That and it would be a neat way to introduce another of Rularuu's aspects, Uuralur. Isn't he the one responsible for the reflections in the shard.

Really Really want new mission maps, and I know I'm gonna catch some flack for this but I agree with Perfect Pain. Some new content such as hazard zones with contacts and an alternate story line for villains, and for heroes the fleshing out of the abandonned hazard zone including full sotry arcs and a 1-50 story arc for normal hero ATs that gives some purpose besides arrest the latest cult or facist group. Heros could use an optional "destined one" style story arc and villains could use an "I dont work for Arachnos" story.

It would be neat if they added Incarnate as an origin that is available to all non-epic ATs because then the incarnate origin would require a new set of origin type enhancements. Incarnates are really just more powerful versions of the AT they represent. Statesman is a very powerful tanker. Incarnate Enhancements could be more powerful versions of the ones we get now. Of course as a trade off Incarnate origin characters should not be able to slot Inventions.

Just a quick idea. No real fleshing out or heavy duty thinking involved.

Okay I've got one thats one of my crowning moments of stupid. Back when independence day was first coming out I watched the movie. The scene where the Will Smith was dragging the alien through the desert and was pissed off and said similar to "blah blah with you dreadlocks hanging out the back... and what the hell is that smell? /emote rage." I thought that the tentacles the alien had were called dreadlocks. So later on that year a conversation with my friends came up where I mentioned that I wanted dreadlocks like the alien in independence day. I moved to another town before I lived that one down.

I'm planning on building a DB/SR scrapper. I'm unable to use mids at this time so I cant get the build figured out. I'm looking to use the BF->AV chain with soft capped defense. I'm not sure what recharge % I need to hit for that and I'm also wondering how much extra damage from set bonuses I can fit in. Thanks for any help.

I chose elec blast because the nuke is ranged nuke. That and with energy manip it can have utility beyond just damage. Maybe Ice would be better. Not sure right now.

I'm thinking about making an elec/energy/munitions blaster with fitness and teleport haven't thought of any other pools yet. Has anyone tried this combination? I'm very interested in the possibility of snipe nuking spawns and whether or not boost range effects teleport's range. Thanks for your time.

I'm offended by your being easily offended. If someone threatens you thats one thing but I'm sick of the phrase "I was offended." Everytime this topic comes up all I can think is 'Baby needs a fresh bottle with a double dose of prozac to make them feel good about themselves.' I dont know where the slippery slope started at whether it was racial slurs or remarks about disabled people but it has gone from being sensible to just plain retarded. I'm sorry that your parents coddled you while you were growing up you easily offended people but its time to mature a bit. Yes its imature that someone sends you nasty pm or rep post and yes its immature to tag every post your involved in with something derogatory but its up to you to decide whether they are even worth noticing. Jeez people how hard is to simply say something is beneath your notice. You dont need a ignore feature for that, all that feature does is make it easy. Do something hard and take pride in the fact that you can do something like look at the tag that says 'turbo = noob' and say to yourself thats a worthless statement by a little (mentally) man. Why some people get so upset over the fact that someone actively dislikes them I will never understand. I am not talking about stalkers or people actively making threats to you. I'm talking about the people who are for lack of a better term trolling and are just trying to make you angry. Have some dignity and dont respond or even notice them.

I do for two reasons. First I can self PL. I hate playing toons pre stamina and pre SOs. Second I can make overpowered character combos that are just plain fun such as 2 traps defenders. However when I am on both comps at the same time I very rarely PuG unless I'm asked to join a team. Even then I warn the team leader who's asking. On an even rarer occassion I get on a PuG where the people understand that standing next to the force field generators is a good thing. If you really want a good laugh get two empathy defenders powered up to the point that they can keep Adrenaline boost on each other permantly. Of course I'm not a jerk either if the team I'm on is suffering because I'm dual boxing I'll log one of them off. My duos are all level pacted anyways.
