Not really. With the lore pets, there is already a variety that you can get, the main hurdle with implementing my idea is creating a new part of the ui to choose which pets you get. After that you tke the existing mob and just port it in. Theres no reason a Jaeger needs to have the same animations or powers as a surgeon for example. Just have the pets tiered according to power level(similar to how they have it now)
With MM and controllers it is differnt, because the pets and their powers would have to remain the same for balancing reasons, but not so with lore pets, as they are already differnt. -
This might be a bit nit picky for just one power... but it would be nice if we could pick which lore pets we get from the group. For example, For the Nemesis lore pet, I would pick the jaegers over the humans, because I can more easily justify my character having a reworked nemisis robot than having a magic ghost man help me. I mean, there is a pretty wide range of mobs from the various groups for the most part. It would nice to be able to pick say a the rock DE as a stone controller or a Rikti Drone etc.

devs, Please, please please! have the retro pistol useable with laser rifle? It might seem obvious to ask, but the devs have missed obvious things before...

I love this idea, but i seriously doubt the devs would implement it unless it was a chance at the lowst level fear. IE something similar to world of confusion. One person of it wouldnt be a problem, but when it starts to stack you could easily lock down large groups of mobs with little effort oterwise.

Im all in favor to change traps. I vote to make the final power another robot pet of some sort. How about a mine layer? The bot doesnt attack directly, but scoots around and drops mines behind it? or a bot with a debuff aura? Maybe a tesla coil on lets that shoots chain lightening/lightning field?Or shoots missles? Or something that confuses enemies? like a mind control dart shooting bot? or even turn time bomb into a toggle where when we turn it off it explodes?

for leadership I want a auto activating vengance for when YOU die. Like the nemisis lts get.

can we get a and b?
Also, assuming that there will be a flight activated animation, ie fire, can we get two options? one thats fire, and one that is rings that fall and fade as they fall? sorta like the way the jetsons car moves http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyinD6ZDqeg but bigger and slower -
heres an idea... why not make the mission computer have access to the AE? Furthermore, let SG's count as a player in that there would be sg designated missions able to be posted and saved per sg instead of taking up a characters slots. Ideally the sg missions could have harder objectives or larger sized missions or something.

So just as a thought... It would be nice if the coyote power had either a stealth or a -aggro field around it. I mean, the carpet and jetboard get vertical movement, and beastrun/ninja run can be used while fighting. So the coyote power probably needs something to help it stack up, not to mention help it survive traveling.

I generally try and avoid a powerset once ive used it, unless it is the only thing that would fit a concept(for example willpower or traps, there arent enough natural powersets)

Robin hood style short boots/shoes would kinda fit in theme. Like the Goldbrickers have.

how about a trivia mini game? base it around game lore and history

Quote:The ideal situation would be for a writer to write a story/work/whatever that can be easily understood by just about anyone, but that also has multiple layers/allusions/literary devices etc. so that the more intelligent reader can get more from it and isnt bored by a simple story. A good example, imo would be something like animal farm or lord of the flies. Someone without a deeper understanding of the culture/literature etc can still read, understand and enjoy the basic stories without catching all the references and allusions.Should I, as writer, write in the simplest forms possible in hopes that one day they'll understand if I just simplify a little more? Or should it be the case that I be elitist and say you can only get this when you become as elite as I? The obvious answer is that the reader needs to try harder and the writer needs to simplify, but to what extent? Many writers choose words for a subtle meaning or feeling or rythm. Should a writer compromise for that for comprehension? Wouldn't doing so make the work less to some degrees? If that is the case should there not be elitism to some degree? That if you can't understand this or that, too bad for you?
Boiling complex ideas down so anyone can understand them is really much much harder than writing an "elite" story that only a few people can get. -
Quote:No, but your skill as a blacksmith would effect the quality of your sword. The numbers are more indicative of skill and growth in ability than in linear age.If you're looking for gold or steel, your age doesn't determine the strength or purity of the element ... why would level effect the Level of an enhancement? These enhancments aren't gifts for actions, they are found in the process.
I still think they should be every power range from (LOTG) 30-50. -
For me its about remembering what I choose in what order with how many slots, and which IOs were in each power. Especially since I typically dont mess up a build bad enough to do anything more than Switch out the odd power or so.

iirc, they toyed with this idea several years ago, but never really did anything with it. Or at least I recall something vague about origin storylines.

Quote:While this is true from a mostly objectivist standpoint, For the most part the responsibility(for lack of a better word) does lie with the author/artist. Contrary to popular belief its not just about expressing your inner muse. Your job as an artist is to convey a message to your audience, if they are unable to interpret it correctly, then you arent doing a good enough job, or your audience simply isnt ready for the message. Look at machiavelli. People read a book he intended to be satire as literal and now he is synonomous with ruling with an iron fist. This applies more to authors than painters, however a good artist/writer can adapt to his or her audience, and in many cases their works are better off from the adversity. There is no responsibility. "Responsibility" implies that the message must be understood - it doesn't. Heck, in some cases a message may not even be intended. An artist's only responsibility is to create his art (or not), and the subject's to experience it (or not).

I still havent respeced my main into free stamina because its more effort than its worth to me.
-
they could have a simon says/dance dance revolution style mini games for temporary cosmetic rewards
-
I agree that some things should be put on a charge basis, the ourobouros reward that gives recipes for a completed mission makes lots of sense to be on a charge basis, But I think some should either be kept on a timer, or maybe award a click power to activate them. For example, the end recovery reward could be a click power that would either last till your time expired, or have multiple charges to use as you saw fit.

So turn down the FX under options? It is seperated out into multiple sources of sound

heres an idea on how we could do something more superhero-y. In another single player super hero game, you were awarded exp only after a mission was completed, and you lost xp for things like buildings collapsing, or civilians dyeing. Moreover, your powers could very well collapse buildings and hurt civilians. So part of the gameplay was deciding when an aoe was safe to use, and when it wasnt worth the risk. Maybe have some new missions like mayhem/safeguard, but change it to only award the xp at the end, and have lots of stuff that can get blown up by accident? maybe add some bonus xp for everything we save from destruction in safeguard missions?

Put a tag on the character info screen that indicates what the status of the person your looking at is. IE if I look at super x's info, I can easily see if they can join a SG or not.
