I'm more or less maxxed out on Defiant, with no slots left. Added to that most of my long time SG friends are on semi permenant breaks from the game. I'm hoping that the merge will get them back into the game.
I'm not sure what server I'll take a look at, although I'll more than likely make at least one on Freedom to see what all the fuss is about -
Personally speaking - as an EU player - I don't mind if I end up as @EU_Cobra Man.
I'm more than happy to take the trade off of access to all the NA servers - and all the slots
Hopefully the OP will calm down a bit over time and see the benefits of the merge. -
UK here.
I've noticed a marginal improvement in performance and almost no lag.
The only time I did notice lag was for 20 minutes or so last week on Defiant - and we awere all getting the same lag.
I'm happy with the server move -
Blasters are probably the one AT where gaming skill can and will make a difference as to how effective you are - and how often you die.
Seems to me that some people posting in this thread haven't figured that one out yet.... -

I'm thinking that the server status page is broken.

Quote:Endurance management is essential in the game, and is a skill that requires to be learned by every player.I call BS. When at least 50% of character concepts require Stamina in order to function, that is a game design flaw. And an easily fixed one that the devs continue to ignore.
To view it as a game design flaw is unrealistic. -

I have a few characters that I run on the Cim wall.
The one that is easily the most effective from a damage output/survivability perspective is a Spines/Inv Scrapper. -
SS for Scrappers is something that I've been wantiing for a long time now.
Here's hoping -

I always thought that clip was 'real' - as in he made a mess of the move.
Looks like it was a spoof all along ....
The same clip is at 49 secs - along with all the other very obvious spoofs on the same set, in this clip.

IO's don't reduce in strength as you level, the way SO's do. Also you can never outlevel an IO. It'll always work even if you are several levels higher than it.
In saying that, I don't normally bother with using all IO's in a build until I get to level 47.
I do use IO sets on certain builds that are end heavy. I find that certain IO sets work wonders for powers like Blazing Aura and Death Shroud etc. -
I took Fly on my Inv/SS tank, because I was looking for a certain iconic appearance.
I replaced Punch with Air Sup and that's about it really. I didn't take Hover.
This Tank can handle anything the game can throw at it - bar heavy Psi damage - and that's without it being fully decked out with IO's.
It makes absolutley no difference to certain Tank set combos whatever travel powers you select. -
I would give my support to merging the server lists.
Having the option to play on any server would be very refreshing for all concerned - particularly the long term players. -
So far so good for me.
I gave my little Bug Spines/Inv Scrapper a makeover - with neon green/yellow crystal spines and bright green Inv effects.
Suits him very well indeed
I then took my Fire/Fire/Fire Tank and did some solo +8 mob radios - which was a whole lotta fun.
I also made a Rad/Elec Blaster and changed the elec colours to bright green (again)
It was a bonus that he was able to get a Raptor Pack in the Shard at lev 2 - and thus no need to do the usual Kings Row radio mission run. I have nothing against the Kings Row run, but I was a little tired of having to do the same sequence at low level everytime to get it.
I plan to make an Elec/Regen Scrapper tomorrow and also perhaps a Traps/Ice Defender.
I like i16 so far. My only complaint is the lack of new content .... roll on GR and i17 I suppose for that. -
I have no interest at all in CO.
I was on the beta for a few months and that was enough for me. -
I'll suggest Dark/Dark for a defender.
It's an excellent combo to play - and is extremely useful in a team as well.
An attack chain of Fearsome Stare - Tar Patch - Darkest Night - Tenebrous Tentacles - Nightfall will reduce any mob to completely useless in seconds.
As a bonus it has a high number heal, which is useful in causing -regen when fighting AV's.
Plus ... You get 'Fluffy'
The dark graphic aspect of the powers does put some people off, but with colour customisation only hours away that will be a thing of the past. -
I wouldn't like to see this happen at all.
It's currently being done in CO and to be quite honest it's that game's main drawback.
The beta was ridiculously easy when playing a ranged character with certain defenses - so much so that the entire game was globally nerfed very quickly after launch.
Don't get me wrong here. I appreciate the thought that went into the idea, but I just don't agree that it would be good for this game. -
With Fulcrum Shift apparently being nerfed shortly, I don't think that Fire/Kin will be the best choice.
Perhaps a Spines/Fire Scrapper? -
I was in Beta for a few months, but quit because the game was so dull.
Oddly enough, it was dull because it was far too easy. The day one Mega Nerf may help a lot with that, but I certainly will not be subbing to CO.
