Quote:I'm expecting it to be used as an opportunity to showcase some of Marvel's B-list villains. The guys who are dangerous, but not dangerous enough to require a superhero response.Honestly I think it will be on for a while even if ratings are bad. I'm betting they are planning on using this as a sounding board for characters to use in future movies. If an episode proves to be popular and people are talking about a certain guest hero then Marvel will either give that hero their own movie or stick them in as a guest star in another.
We'll probably see some appearances from B-list heroes as well. I would not be at all surprised if Samuel L. Jackson makes frequent guest appearances as well.
Iron Man and the Hulk would be the easiest big names to have show up. You can put anyone in Iron Man's armor and get Robert Downey Jr. to do the voice from his house. And the Hulk is all CGI anyway. -
Quote:It does nothing for you personally on any character you have it on, it's an ally-only power.Frostwork regularly does nothing for me on my support ATs, as I usually sit at (or close to) my HP cap due to accolades and set bonuses. I wouldn't mind seeing it converted to absorb so that the power isn't wasted.
Not Hoarfrost, though. At least, not the tanks version. They have a higher HP cap that the +HP was designed to work with. They don't need it. -

Sonic/Dark Defender.
I have never seen one in the 7 years I've played.
And the synergy actually wouldn't be too bad. Resistance and -to-hit seem like a no-brainer combination. -
Quote:Autopaying it could work.Suggestion:
A way to enable auto deduction and thus auto pay base rent or in the alternative, the ability to pay base rent in advance for 6 months or a 1 year.
Paying in advance wouldn't. What if you made changes to your base that changed the payment amount between payments? -
Quote:It wasn't that it was BAD.And Iron Man 2? WTF, that movie was actually good. It wasn't better than the original, but it was on par, and I have a REALLY hard time believing that there's any consensus it's the #22 biggest let down in recent movie history.
I have to say it was one of the most overhyped movies in recent memory.
It was a good movie, but not as good as the hype surrounding it made it out to be. That's why it was on the list. -
Quote:I assert that if you were expecting Indiana Jones....you weren't paying attention to who the Scorpion King was in the second Mummy movie.Wait? What? No Scorpion King. Seriously, my son loved the Mummy movies and I paid money to see what I thought was going to be Indian Jones-ish....and got Conan....in all its glory.
And didn't pay attention to the trailers that made it pretty clear it was set in a vaguely ancient Egypt setting.
The movie not being what you expected it to be wasn't any fault of the people who made it.
If you want to say it was bad, I'll accept your opinion of it. But being misled as to the movie's premise was no one's fault but your own. -
I would put Sonic in second in this category due to Siren's Song alone.
It's THAT good of a power. my Sonic/Devices routinely spends large amounts of time not even being attacked, let alone defeated.
It might slide into 1st with an Overwhelming Force proc in Shockwave, but I'm not sure on that.
Even without a snipe, Sonic is still a VERY good set. All it needs, IMO, is to have the cast time on Shout reduced. -
Quote:And also the fact that it is really easy to sit at Blaster HP at all times anyway through Accolades and set bonuses. There was some talk of the possibility of Ice APP eventually, maybe, at some point in the nebulous future, getting Hoarfrost switched/modified to an Absorb ability, since Blaster HP caps mean that you hit the ceiling with only a single heal SO worth of enhancement.
If you're already at the HP cap, Hoarfrost is just a heal on a really long timer. -
The slows in Spines stack nicely with Chilling Embrace.
And Spines' first 2 powers are getting buffed in issue 24 so that you can actually have a decent single target attack chain. -
Quote:Even when it doesn't crit at all its DPA is still better.1> Not sure if people say this anymore that gamblers cut is better....if they do...they are using some old statistics like back when the Gambler's cut would critical and then critical again on the critical doing monstrous damage. The developers felt that was a bit over the top and decided to change that...its useful as its another attack to use with out having to redraw your weapon.
On a high recharge build, Gambler's Cut fits between your hard hitting attacks perfectly due to its very short cast time. It also recharges very fast, meaning that it is an excellent filler attack if you don't have a lot of recharge.
If you put Gambler's Cut between every Golden Dragonfly or Soaring Dragon, your damage output will be better than trying the same thing with Sting of the Wasp.
I usually take all 3 of the first 3 powers until I get up to the level Soaring Dragon is slotted at, then I respec out of Sting of the Wasp. -
Depends on whether you want to be a scrappier stalker or a stealthier one.
If you have a primary with a lot of AoE, like Spines or Electic, it might be worth it.
If you have a ST focused primary that relies on Hidden crits for DPS it might not.
Personally, I would take it and just decide when I want to run it. -
Quote:I'm anticipating issue 25 or 26.Seriously, when are Scrappers/Stalkers getting Ice Melee? Not that I'm biased because I want to see a revamp for the set so my /Ice Melee Tank doesn't suck, but... I wouldn't mind rolling Ice on something designed to do better damage, either. >.>
I'm also expecting Tankers to get Spines at the same time. -
Quote:And I have considered this a problem for quite a while.
In addition, I would seriously consider you out of your mind if you said the best EM chain on a tank didn't involve Gloom in some fashion.
Especially on Brutes. It is not balanced that a single PPP power can take a set from near the bottom of ST DPS to near the top.
When the best ST damage attack chain for a set includes only one attack from that set, there is something wrong. (Super Strength Gloom->KO Blow->Burn is the best chain you can run for ST damage, assuming your secondary is Fire) -
Quote:From what I've seen, the Cosmic Corsair set has some very Space Marine looking pieces, particularly the shoulder pads.I've repeatedly considered rolling up either an Empath/AR Defender or an AR/Pain Corruptor as a Space Marine Apothecary. Needless to say he'd refuse to team with any Magic Origin, Mutant Origin or non-human heroes
(or at least he would if I role-played him realistically).
Still considering a Lightning Claws or Thunder Hammer + Storm Shield Terminator suited Tanker or Brute.
Or maybe an Assault marine as a Scrapper. -
I would rather see Frostwork become +Absorb.
There are a great many ATs that can sit at their HP cap at all times, and as we have no way of knowing an ally's actual HP total, we have no way of knowing if a +HP power would be completely wasted on them. -

Quote:There's a few pieces. You can earn capes, auras, and Roman costume pieces for sure. That's about all I can think of off the top of my head though.hey guys i am new in this game and hope that you guys could answer my questions, i know its off topic but i'll ask them anyway
1.is there any earn i game costume sets for free players?
Quote:2.i am a free player, does that mean i wont get in touch with salvage, recipes, inventions and incarnate abilities?
Quote:3.i am finding a supergroup recently, i tried massaging the leader like this:
/t @global chat handle, massage, but i didn't get any reply (i think the problem is the
channel is set which is 'Local', i also tried to join a channel but there's just a
blink and nothing else on the screen after i click it
There is a Super Group channel as well that you should be able to talk in. It's a channel that only members of your Super Group can see.
Hope that helps, but I concur with Jack. In the future, start a new topic if you have questions that aren't related to the OP. -
Quote:Centipedes should be killed with fire. All manner of arthropod creep me out (especially centipedes - in one apartment I lived in there was a centipede that would come out of nowhere and do a couple of laps around my wall at the same time every night), but I'm generally happy to avoid them rather than destroy them when possible. Despite the fact that they (particularly spiders) seem to want to make my home their home. As long as they keep out of my personal space, I don't mind them, but some of them seem *determined* to invade my personal space. Even then, if I can orchestra a way to transport them outside that's my preference.
They are the one invertebrate I want no part of. Spiders, scorpions, tailless whipscorpions (look em up, they're kinda cool), and bugs in general don't bother me.
Until I get to centipedes. I kill centipedes with extreme prejudice. -
Quote:Actually, the game engine can. The servers can't handle it.We've been told before that the game engine has no way to handle this.
Whether it can be added is anyone's guess.
I had a PM response from Castle before he left telling me that it was possible and not even all that difficult (still incredibly time consuming though).
It would just put so much strain on the servers trying to calculate every incoming attack for the purpose of reflecting it that it would lag everything down on the server side, and was thus an ability that he wouldn't allow players to have. I forget the term he used, but it was something techy.
With the dev team having changed since then the overall stance on this may have changed, but since it was a valid reason for being against it in the first place I wouldn't count on it.
If we see it at all, it will likely be as an ability a specific NPC has, as that can be controlled. With no way to control the number of players using a mechanic like this, it's asking for a server meltdown if they put it in a player available set. -

Quote:I remember that one. He played a Puritan from Colonial America that Angel turned to save his life, and later had to put him down.Jeremy Renner is also in an early episode of Angel as a serial killer vampire.
As far as I'm aware, Jeremy Renner's character was the last person Angel ever turned. -
Quote:Not me doing this, but here's a shot of the same species I mentioned:Yeah, take a shot of them crawling up your arm. Let's creep people out.
We have one of those, but we don't handle ours. We generally don't recommend handling tarantulas, it does nothing for the spider and could actually be harmful to it if it decides to jump. I'm not comfortable handling our girl, as she has a painful bite and is very flighty.
Next time my wife has one of our avicularia avicularia (common pinktoe tarantula) out, I'll try to get a shot of it crawling on me. They are one of a small number of species I'm comfortable handling, as they are usually pretty docile and not prone to darting off unexpectedly.
Here, this is our website. We breed tarantulas, and have a good bit of information on there as well: http://www.heartlandinvertebrates.webs.com/
I try to dispell the myth that tarantulas (and spiders in general) want to kill us whenever I get a chance to. Arachnophobia is a learned response, not an instinctive one, and I'm convinced that it can be unlearned as well.
There is only ONE dangerous spider in North America, the black widow. And they are only really dangerous to the elderly and small children.
The brown recluses and hobo spiders you see pictures of bites from? The people with those bites were idiots and waited too long to seek medical attention. If you're bit by one and go to the hospital right away, they really aren't any worse than any other spider bite.
For the record, neither the person in the picture or the tarantula came to any harm. From reading the thread the picture was posted in, she walked around for a few minutes and went back into her enclosure with no issues. Most of the time tarantulas are pretty laid back, only getting defensive when they feel threatened. We have a number of species I have a lot of respect for, but none that I am afraid of, because there is no reason to fear them. -
What? You mean my claims on the size of my particular tarantula?
I don't have any good pics of my spider (she's very shy and runs from light sources), but when I get home I can find a pic or two of the species she is and post those.
Or did you mean having pinktoes crawling on me? -
Quote:The Technology = Magic slant of the Thor movie is closer to the Ultimate version than the original.Very true.
Although one quibble: this isn't the Ultimate Thor or Loki. Or Hulk, for that matter. I actually think this Hulk is a mash-up of the Bixby TV series version with the classic comic book one.
Hulk didn't really change much between the original Marvel Universe and the Ultimate universe. The major difference was in people's reactions to his rampages.
The original universe was like: "Oh, the Hulk's breaking stuff again, get the clean up crew ready."
The Ultimate universe was like: "Put that thing down before it does more damage!"
The Ultimate universe had a much more realistic response to a giant, green, uncontrollable monster wreaking havoc wherever he happened to be.
