Quote:No worries there. Given the early signs of it in First Ward... I fully expected to see psi melee show up in the market sometime in 2012. P.Yin's appearance just locks in that expectation. My impression was that all of the effort that normally goes into mission design for the SSAs instead went into Penelope's psi melee power set. The instant she started attacking I thought, "Wait a minute, this is that set that I voted for in that poll all those years ago and they never gave us!"
I'm totally willing to forgive this transgression, devs, for the low low price of player access to psi melee. -
Since the last issue hit every character I've made on Live or Beta has done 1 DfB run, then hit the find contact button to go to Wincott and run through the completion of Flux.
It has been fun... but, a tad lonely. -
The last two episodes have done more to snap the mood and pacing of the story back in line than I could have expected. Very nice.
And things make some sense now in terms of pacing and what not. We get to experence Shane's descent, Rick's inner conflict, see Carl get colder to make certain decisions... My confidence in the program has grown and I am looking forward to more.
Quote:That's always been Rick's issue... ethical insanity and the conflict of making the right decision when there isn't one...Then we have the jumper. With a swarm of Walkers descending, the best thing you can do for that guy is put him down quick, and move on... bringing him back to the farm is insanity, albeit ethical insanity.
Smilely aside... Leader? Ah, heck no. I'm with Dale. Shane isn't a leader, and if he didn't have the prospect of Lori there prompting his inner pscycho I think he'd collapse. -
Good luck, and enjoy!
Those look like some fun characters. -
I've been pretty pleased with my Rad/Poison. Thematicallly they are an easy link, and the animation/visual style of the sets goes well.
The debuff of the rad blasts with the debuffing of poison really helps set the opponents up to be dismantled. -
Serious thumbs up on this, Dink.
-
I think a single target [Wormhole]/[Teleport Foe] type power where you vanish and appeared a la the Vorpal visual to drag a foe back to you would be pretty sweet.

I am officially putting on my curmudgeon hat.
The need to re-attune myself to having done the cross-faction stuff to unlock the new stuff is retarded.
And I've just seen too many complaints about the unreachable valentines, and had to explain it too many times, to think it was in any way shape or form a good game play/design decision. -

Short answer - yes it gets better. It is a nice set, with killer AOE that makes it peform like a continuous mini-nuke.
Spines/DA have been running at highest difficulty since back when only SOs existed.
That said, Dark Armor is a end hogging, selfish, fickle, beauty.- limit aura usage until end is stable - skip CoF, a damage aura, or whatever mix works for your style
- recovery serum is a nice recipe temp
- slot end reduc in powers aggressively
- the heal [Dark Regeneration] is a beautiful power that just destroys blue bars - IO solution there is get the Theft of Essence proc slotted in it, as it can actually add end after its usage if it hits enough targets
- standard numina/miracle/performance shifter recommendations
- get physical perfection out of the epic

Quote:Bah, it's not like adding 3 new enhancement slots would make the game explode or something. Oh Shi...What are you talking about, it's not like adding 3 new power slots would make the game explode or something. Oh Shi...
Actually, the information in the article is pretty interesting.
Looking back over the last 4 years of developments... I wouldn't be completely shocked that things look quite a bit different in another couple of years... -
This trailer hints that this movie may exceed my expectations...

Iron Man lands.
Captain America: "Death From Above! 2 spots left PST!"
Captain America: "Death From Above! 2 spots left PST!"
Captain America: "Death From Above! 2 spots left PST! We have cookies."
Black Widow: "Stop spamming. We can roll with this."
Iron Man: Pass the star pls.

Ayup. Likewise.
Quote:The armor could be something to keep Frost Giants at subzero temperatures while on Earth.
I have no qualms about the Hulk look and trusting Marvel to implement their characters.
Oh, and on a mildly indirectly related topic, but as long as Hulk images are being tossed about. This showed up and scarred my day... had to share. -

The answer is, without a doubt, "yes, it is possible."
What matters, though, is that it is highly unlikely. -
I have taken tanks, scrappers, blaster, corrs, defenders, brutes... all to 50 with well over half their time solo. There is no magic bullet.
The generic answer would say brute or scrapper.
I've leveled a son/rad corr that would test that.
Ice blasters bring pain and mez...
MMs are never really solo.
There is no right answer. -
After playing in the costume creator last night, I have decided that the next thing we need is a complete revamp of the organization, sorting, and logical structure of the way things are presented.
We have soooo many items in there now, it is getting tedious to explore, change, and experiment. It is getting hard to use due to volume of material. -
Quote:OK, that looks pretty cool...I´m also still waiting for a truly stunning Insect set.
I've been waiting for something organic, perhaps slimy, something to go with the splicer cape and/or boils & slime auras. -
Quote:Zwill posted about this in one of the vote threads, something about limiting things due to timelines and development dates that made sense. My question would be: Will there be only one "winner" from each voting catogory, or is it possible that the final pack may include multiples (say both A & D from the raygun catogory) depending on how well they do?
edit: there it is.
