Quote:Well we know Aoes drop the proc rate significantly based off radius and target cap, so we can safely say that it would not reach 100% even in the superior version more than that I can't sayIt works like any other proc in a damage aura. Meaning it only checks to proc every 10 seconds. If it is 5 PPM, that means it will proc on 5 out of the 6 chances it has per minute.
If the Superior version increases the PPM to 6, then it should proc every time it checks in a damage aura (assuming you have a target). I'm not 100% clear on exactly how it works in an AoE, but logic tells me that since it only gets 6 chances to even check for a proc in a given minute, it should stay triple stacked most of the time.
I can tell you from personal experience that it double-stacks consistently in my DA tank's Death Shroud. -
it activats on hits since it is 5ppm the best powers to use it in are single targets powers with 12s base recharge that said I can't imagine dmg auras are good places to put them but my thinking maybe wrong

Quote:Imo this is really only useful in exploitive slotting like slotting it in a power that provides Res but does not accpet Res enhancements cause otherwide if you had an +5 IO you would have similar numbers and build towards set bonusThis one of those things you simply will -never- see ingame. A level 53 Ribosome Exposure. Easily trumping any Res/End IO you'll find, this is simply a beauty. Mix that with the fact these have always been -extremely- rare and even thus, has not been spawned since i8 and we have ourselves one of the rarest items to ever spawn in COH.
Taking offers, no Buy-It-Now in mind yet.

Quote:EM is a late bloomer and after a variety of nerfs over the years lost much of it's payoff, dark is a very hardy protection set it's not adding to your damage like fire can so if I might make a suggestion go Fire/MA more Res and much more Def than your SS/Fire bruteI rolled a Dark/EM tank just for fun. The damage is horrid and I've yet to see any survivability increase, but I'm only lv 11. I think this is going to end up like what I thought it was, basically I'll give up alot of damage for a overkill amount of survivability. I'm going have to see what happens with I get incarnates.
Edit : I would have rolled fire armor except I already have a SS/fire broot and like 5 different shield toons -

Quote:Other than the no/less redraw aspect this isn't a synergistic combo imo both Kat and WP sacrifice stuff for def but since they're providing competeing types of def they don't synergizePersonally, I'd suggest Katana/Willpower. There's nothing fancy about it except for an "uh oh" power so you can Parry if you get in over your head, there's no knockback to worry about -- just knockup and knockdown -- and it's a fast animating set which still deals plenty of damage, and can still be quite an efficient late-game contender with IO's.

Back before the incredibly annoying I22 induced Pet AI issue that causes pets to run off and aggro Siege, Maruder and others I would take my +3 T4 everything Bots/Traps/Mu/Barrier/Longbow radial on trials and immediatly go off on my own in lamda. That Setup pretty much allowed me to go solo all those turrets in the reverse order a league would normally go in so by the time they got to the turret stage there might be like 1-3 left, but since they were so used to going from turret to turret many would still travel the path of turrets only to find there was mysteriously none left
One time I said to the league "You might be wondering what just happened" and then I responed "I happened" and got some lols from the league -
Quote:I'm surprised you neglected to mention the -tohit of DM or is DM the only dark set that doesn't do -tohit?DM/Elec is in the uncommon category and comes with an incredible number of positives.
Immune to Endurance Drain
Mostly immune to Energy Attacks
Endurance Regain
Endurance Sap on enemies
High resistances
Heal
Endurance cost reduction to self
Recharge bonus
Long duration +Damage boost
Slow resistance
Damage Field
There are no real holes though there are two areas where you will be less than stellar by default and will have to work a bit to move up to the big leagues--area damage and defense capping. You have no base defense to speak of. Getting to 32.5% isn't too terribly hard though. As goes area damage, you have Shadow Maul, a cone, and Lightning Field. Beyond that you will have to acquire them from pool choices.
The recharge bonus lends towards working towards perma-Hasten, and with this set of powers, the faster you can cycle them the crazier things become.
Thx to DM and MAs lack luster aoe I think it best to combo them up with Fire Armor -
Quote:Fake english accent?? Isn't she a brit to begin with?Speaking of the X-Files....
I was sorta half way watching Johnny English Reborn. Having missed the opening credits, i kept asking myself "who's the hawt milf playing Pegasus [the head of MI-7]?" The fake English accent kept throwing me, I kept thinking I must have seen her on Doctor Who or something.
But then she got "that look" that Scully was famous for (about a minute thirty in)...Damn, that's Scully!
She is much hawter now than she was 20 years ago. -

people aren't gay for any particular reason, it doesn't enrich or diminish from their character, they just are so I'm ok with any dc character coming out but if they want to do this right they have to do it right. There are so many ways for it to go wrong.

yeah but it's from the one app that doesn't give you an armor so without this proc that app is horibly under powered imo

Quote:I'd love Buff/Melee as wellI'd personally rather the devs work on those new ATs and sell sell sell. With the new epic AT that's coming out, fill out the game's niches with 3 more basic ones:
Melee/(de)Buff
Armor/Blast
Pet/(Assault or something)
Pet/Attack sounds good too
remove the upgrades add support powers and give the field commander ranged attacks -
Quote:Part of me thinks they just had trouble with the coding so it took this long to make sure it worked right the other part of me hates them for not adding this functionality to null the gull
Rejoice my fellow mastermind lovers for there is.... FINALLY!!!!!... a proc that turn Knock Back to Knock down. It only applies to powers that deal damage though.
This is, mostly, amazing news for Storm Summoning. For Storm Summoning you can either put it into Gust to see it be useful for the first time in the game's history or Tornado. When tornado can't throw enemies around it will sit on them doing a lot of damage over time so it'll be like having an extra pet which is pretty dang sweet. But since it can only be placed in damage dealing powers you can't put it into Hurricane and you can only put it into one power. It's not global. Why not? Who the heck knows. Maybe in another 5 or 6 years they'll throw us a global one or one you can put into non-damaging powers. Can you imagine it? Hand Clap, Repulsion Field, Sonic Repulsion would all suddenly be useful. Worm Hole would be amazing.
Seriously. While I'm ecstatic that this is finally here, I'm also pretty pissed off that they had the capability to do this they just... didn't.... Can someone tell me why this wasn't done years ago? Tell me there's something I'm missing. Did they not have the capability to do it before now? Something weird in the coding? Jumpin zombie Jesus what the hell took them so long?
Edited because apparently Worm Hole doesn't do damage so you can't put this into Worm Hole.... Sad.But hey, Electric/Electric doms can now use their Thunderstrike without throwing enemies out of their draining aura.

Quote:ThisNR fits perfectly with Stalkers, and I don't know what you guys hate, but the animations are great, especially if your character has weapon-based power sets. By far, the best travel animations in the game, IMO. Super Speed looks so damn plain, doesn't even feel like you're actually moving at super speeds. Maybe if they added the shadow effect like in Dual Pistols, it might look cooler.
As for SJ, maybe a idle crouched position might make more sense, as in having a character that is always ready for the next leap everytime he/she lands.
Hmmm.....
I want to keep the NR animations at all times without the end cost -

That was less than a month ago and i was testing to see if I could use it for damage badge purposes when I went afk and I could, so lava should do damage unless different lava pits are coded differently

Quote:Sweet? Seems like this type of feature has been wanted for so long; it sucks that it has to take up a slot and is limited to only one powerThere's a new IO set accessible with the Summer Event (check the Dev digest) called Overwhelming Force where the 6th IO is a chance to KB / convert KB to KD. Yes, if you slot it into a power that *already* does KB, it converts the KB to KD.
Frag Grenade fans everywhere (and Hand Clap, and most Nova blasts) rejoiced.
Trouble is, it's not global - have to slot it into each power you want to the KB -> KD.
And there will be a limited availability due to only avail in summer event.
So, assumption is high price on market. -
-
Quote:Hmm what are you talking about?Well, I am pretty sure this is going to hit the market with a very high cost and stay there. I would even say it would be in the purple cost range.
You could 5slot the one purple set with kb slot and slot it with the kd converter for total kd with a potentially high kd value.... especially if the power already does kd. EG: tornado + kb proc +kd converter.
In fact, mixing this with any kb set would make the kb set very valuable. -
Ah I see now

Quote:+1 IOs aren't tradable to my knowledgeWhich actually was useful. I had an enhancement +1'd...(think it was a Gift of the Ancients) and wanted to put it in storage. Interestingly, you are not able to store boosted enhancements. So, I passed it off to a friend to get rid of the +1, then he passed it back to me so I could go ahead and store it. Yes, the boost was gone, but atleast I got to store the enhancement which was ultimately the goal.
