  1. I just want the steampunk jackets, baron set, clock belt, and shoulder animals ported.
  2. Please PM me the directory structure and any other information.

    The regular ATs...?

My point is that increased rewards, effectively almost doubling the value of any reward merits you get, and quintupling the value of signature story arcs, is not an effective way to pay for being able to enter additional zones.
  4. Hey guys they are so well balanced I have a proposal!

We need to add a new AT. It will have the weakest powers in the game, and only be able to use trial zones.

However, it can get 10x inf and recipes every time it kills a mob, and buy HOs with inf.

    EXCELLENT BALANCE
  5. D-Mac, Leonard, and any of the villain arcs by Twoflower.

They are capable of not assuming your motivations or loyalties beyond a few basics, involving meaningful moral options, being fun, featuring classic villain plots, not being insulting, suggesting a sense of self determination despite being simple stories, etc.
  6. Common IOs would not go up, at least not considerably, because thousands of people would have both a remote command and a portable table to toss a ton of IOs at the market if they ever get above craft price to enough of an amount to bother.

As I understand it the 'no balancing around inventions' refers to content only requiring SO, not an inventions don't do anything approach to powerset balance.

Considering the addition of no-recharge tier 9s and I'd be surprised if they did not consider it.
  8. The problem is not because NPCs insult you.

It's because you are told what you think, or forced to justify the insults by railroading.

I expect a lot of them to be insulting at low level, but it's unnecessary to include statements of what you think or 'dialogue options' that are simply a single option written as the dialogue of a lackey or multiple options that each lead to being called gullible or submissive.

That will not work no matter how higher levels are written.

And the subsequent moments he can never mention it again until you talk to him about incarnate powers and you continue to use them as an infrastructure?

The essential charm of a villain is freedom and independence, and they've not comprehended that, and from the latest arcs, still don't comprehend it.

This arc commits the cardinal sin of putting words in my character's mouth which are also incredibly stupid, making me feel like a knuckle-dragging idiot. You don't write stories like this in a game where people make their own characters. You simply do not. If words must be put in characters' names, then options must be given. This storyline commits more travesties against player characters than I can count. And it's written VERY sloppy, to boot. I quoted a random text for unrelated reasons out of one text box, and it ended up having a "viscous stare" in it completely by accident. It's rife with typos and suspect grammar, and it is NOT written as a story arc should.

    Crimes against canon

The Origin of Powers: Never in my life have I seen such an amazing fictional universe so thoroughly disembowelled by a horrible idea. The Origin of Powers' entire storyline takes what is a very open, very varied world and not only clenches it by the throat, suffocating all creativity that ever existed, but it uses deus ex machina to reduce EVERYTHING EVER down to a single plot point. This is a crime against fiction so bad I don't think I have an apt metaphor to describe it, though I'm sure if I actually read comic books, I might. DC's Countdown comes to mind as a comparison, though.

    Idiot ball bonanza:

Kelly Uqua: Christ almighty, this arc treats both me like I failed my IQ test. Kelly Uqua is a Rikti spy by the name of Kel'Uqua. I'm not spoiling anything, that's obvious pretty much from the word go. And yet I have to spend the entire arc scratching my head like a knuckle-dragging idiot trying to figure out why the woman who looks like a Rikti, acts like a Rikti, cavorts with Rikti and is said to be a Rikti spy by no less than two separate people seems suspicious. If I end the final mission, I never even suspect. If, on the other hand, I fail the final mission and the Ballista's message goes through, I begin to suspect that maybe, just maybe, there was something wrong, but I don't know where. Because I have the IQ of a box of hammers.

Dr. Graves second arc: "Mental time bomb" is all I have to say. The game has me act like a complete idiot, it has Dollface, Dean John ******* Yu and even Dr. Graves make fun of me, all while I don't even realise I'm being mocked. I'm not a smart guy in real life and I still found that offensive to my intelligence. It's not funny, it's just degrading. To me, personally, let alone to my character.
    These

Some of them can be fixed by just occasional text rewrites BTW.
  11. What I hate most of the arc is that you are told the arbiters give you permission to increase your abilities.

So, heroes get to be trained, while villains have to ask a bureaucrat to authorize them.

What the hell? Do none of them realize WHY people may want to be villains?
  12. Incarnate inventory
    Souvenirs
    Inf
    Recipes
    SG status
    Options
    Badges
Any content related progress or unlocks

Best case it lets you switch AT but you become level 1

Optionally, some way to send enhancements to an invisible bank and get them as you can use them

Really sick of this particular canard.

    1. They said no to a market merger too, or probably F2P, etc. Just because they said no is not an argument against a suggestion.

    2. For every 100,000 instances of a player saying the devs said no, there are maybe 1 or 2 actual dev statements to such effect often years previous or by people who are not with the company any more.

    3. A statement suggesting support of an AT respec has happened or so I hear.
  13. Blasters can also get a ton of defense if IOed and that is probably why they did not get a buff before.

IMO it would be a good idea both for balance and gameplay to make the crash less ridiculous so that you can actually use the power. The nuke can be less effective than any other power during a team because it essentially statues a member of the team. I'd like it to include a crash but not a 100% crash.

Give it like a 70 point energy requirement.

It's definitely using an embedded web browser, because I got a stock 404.

It's written as an AJAX app but clearly by somebody who is not particularly experienced at web development. My pet peeve from a programming, not interface, point of view is that it forces you to reload the menu at each individual click.

It's even less conducive to actually buying anything.

IMO the interface will be a bigger sales hurdle than the prices.
  16. Translation

STOP PLAYING HOW I DON'T WANT YOU TO PLAY
  17. My primary complaint is the retoggling. Make that automatic or just reduce the crash to MOST of the stamina.
  18. I'd like to read a pro person argue how MM knock is anything but a liability. The whole argument of how you simply LRN2PLAY and use it efficiently doesn't work that way.
  19. I just want the bleeping power slide, nothing else.

Considering other pre orders became vet rewards why can we still not get power slide?

  21. This sort of farm can be a lot of fun.

IMO the devs made a big error by nerfing boss farming to pointlessness instead of simply making the mobs that people ran them with better or adding a FAIR (not 1/4 exp) tax to XP. It's probably not coincidental subs are rumored to have gone down at a similar time. You can't make most of those who ran them interested in the minion/LT/boss paradigm. While some of the new content mixes up the paradigm to a degree increased spawn variety is necessary.

    Is that 21?

    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...91#post3847291

Or just upgrading of the computers only?

They said the VIP sneak peak date is soon to be announced, but didn't specify the announcement would be ahead of the event.
  23. My biggest complaint is that the notice was only one week. I've been busy.

A bulk rate is desperately needed considering the over $30 prices of some of the packs a la carte.
