Quote:I missed nothing, and I'd wager that neither did TJ. I also stand by my answer. Whether he's just dead or "dead," he's dead--Cole killed him.Couple people missed the point.
GW was mentioned and dead was in quotes because he was wondering if Stefan could exist as a spirit. -
Not in the least. It gets complained about every time they release a new booster pack.
Once CoH Freedom launches later this year, though, all purchases will be handled directly through the in-game store, so this wait period should no longer be an issue. -
If you've already purchased one booster pack today, then yes, Sermon is correct--you're limited to one credit card purchase per 24 hour period.
I specifically use PayPal to get around this, allowing me to purchase boosters on both my accounts... but you'll continue to be locked out of that option until tomorrow as well. Once you've gotten past this cooldown period, though, you should be able to purchase everything you're interested just as fast as you can click on them by using PayPal. -
Quote:I often have to wait until all my badger friends have already done a few runs and gotten the badges for themselves, so they're not worried I'll ruin the run for them with my excessive squishiness. It doesn't help that /SR is largely dependent on luck, and I'm not known for attracting luck as much as I am getting one-shotted by Black Scorpion's dual Smash/Energy damage attacks.Great googly-moogly, Chad Gulzow-Man has 1234 badges. What sort of badging metagame goal are you considered inadequate for?
I think I got MoSTF on my 12th or 13th try. Though I was only the cause of failure twice in all that, it got me branded as something of a "bad luck charm" for runs where deaths are discouraged.
Quote:If I had known then what I know now, I would have made my Ill/Rad my main all those years ago. I'd probably have every single badge except the Master of Keyes ones by now, with probably half the effort. But nooo, I had to play my Energy/Energy blaster first. -
Quote:I'm not arguing with you... just stating what I perceive to be the case.i dont have a problem just doing a filter search to find what im looking for lol
if they dont plan on having gifting as an option, then it would make more sense to be called "favorites" instead -
I was about to direct you to the support forums for help, but I see you've already fixed your issue.

Doesn't do anything for the 1230+ badges I've got on this guy, unfortunately... many of which--the anniversary badges, for instance--can no longer be obtained. So basically, I'm stuck on a character that I find to be "adequate" conceptually (even though better options are available now, but I'm not allowed to simply change to those options), but is considered inadequate by others pursuing the same badging metagame goals I am.
Times two, actually, since I built my main villain to mirror my main hero... though I greatly prefer /SR on Stalkers.

Quote:The cost is based on entirely subjective things.
...
I value visuals, silliness, concept more than the pure numbers. -
Quote:By that same argument, I could say it only takes four hours to switch between Hero and Villain, because I don't have to be playing the game during the cooldown times.Your numbers there show you spending a whole 24 hours doing the first 5 tip missions. Really you do them in a couple hours, then 20 hours later you are already on the next 5.
Basically the waiting timer starts after you have beat the first 5 tips.
You're arguing pure semantics here; you say three days, other people say four days, but you all mean the same thing... you're just not counting the first day, when most people do.
The point is, it takes about four* calendar days to fully switch from Hero to Villain. You do your first 5 on Monday, second 5 + Vigilante Morality on Tuesday, third 5 on Wednesday and the last 5 + Villain Morality on Thursday.
* Unless you have an unlimited time to play, no social/occupational obligations and can jump on exactly 20 hours after your tips cool down... in which case you could have everything done in a little more than 60 hours. -
Quote:I imagine that the point is for you to make a collection of things that you want soon but don't necessarily have the points for right now. That way you don't have to traverse the whole store to find the Arcane Hood, the Cyborg Arms, the Steampunk Boots and the Ninja Run travel power when you do have the money available. Or, so you know exactly what you're interested in, and can check back frequently to see if any of it goes on sale without trudging through all the stuff you already know you don't want.i personally think having a wishlist and nobody but yourself seeing it is kinda moot since you know what you want (unless your very forgetful in which case it could come in handy)
Basically, I think it's less of a "wishlist" in the Amazon.com sense and more of a "favorites" section like you have on your web browser. -
Quote:I quite simply refuse to drop 3 powers from my build to pick up Weave, not to mention the number of slots I'd have to move to make use of it and Tough. However if you have any plans to use IO sets at all, it is so easy to softcap SR that it seems a huge waste not to.
I'm also slotted heavily (yes, with IOs) for recharge, damage and recovery. I'd rather end a fight as quickly as I can and move on to the next, as opposed to sticking my tongue out going "Neener neener, you can't hit me!" Time spent not punching faces is time spent not having fun. Your mileage may vary.
Don't get me wrong; I fully recognize that Super Reflexes probably isn't the powerset for me... but back in 2004, it was the closest option I had. Like I said, I'd be much happier if I could switch to Willpower, and I likely wouldn't get nearly as annoyed when everyone says that softcapping SR is the only way to play it. -
It's threads like this that make me wish I could respec into Willpower. So many people insinuating you're an idiot if you play a non-softcapped /SR...
*slumps off with his 38% defense, patting [Elude] on the head as he goes* Don't worry little guy... I still remember you. -
I'd like to see a heroic arc where you battle your choice of Arachnos Patron and are awarded some of their powers (i.e., unlocking Patron Pools) for defeating them in the end. Perhaps the infusion of power is granted through the malfunction of one of Dr. Aeon's devices? *scratches chin*
... Huh. I think I just got inspired to write something for the Mission Architect. -
Quote:My thoughts exactly. Beam Rifle sounds neat, but I just don't do ranged damage sets, so I'll probably wait until it either goes on sale or I have a massive pile of points and am otherwise bored.Indeed. I'll probably get Street Justice right away since I have a couple ideas for it. Beam Rifle I have no problems waiting until something strikes me and I have a use for it. This is why the free points are such a boon, I have more patience than a 4 year old.
I MIGHT make (and shortly thereafter, shelve) an evil Beam Rifle/Time Manip Corruptor or Defender, since I've actually got a concept using the two... but I guarantee she won't find a lot of play time amongst the rest of my stable of alts. I've even got a backstory for her--woman is sent back in time to stop what her people call "The Long-Passed Storm," but instead ignores her responsibilities to become a time-travelling criminal... until karma bites her in the ***, leaving her stranded in Galaxy City during the Shivan attack. -
Quote:Street Justice will be available for all melee ATs, including Brutes.Well, I am ok with paying for new powersets. Though I am looking at having to pass this go round because I am playing only brutes and I read (misread I hope) that street justice will not be available for brutes. :|

Quote:If it's a choice of having one new powerset for free every 6 months to a year, or having 4 powersets a year with the option to pay for them, I'd rather have the latter, honestly.Quote:If having to buy powersets is what allows them to develop many more powersets, then I'm all for it. I would love to have more sets to choose from, and would gladly pay for those choices.
Currently, we're getting an average of 2 free powersets every 18-24 months. If our options are to go on following that pattern or to get 1 free powerset every issue or every other issue with an assortment of additional ones added to the store in between, it's a no brainer.
EVERYBODY (read: subscriber) wins under the new model. We'll likely be averaging two free sets a year instead of 1½-2 years, with 4 or more additional powersets available in the store. You don't HAVE to buy the new sets, but you still get more for free than you ever did largely thanks to the money they're bringing in. -

Quote:According to a Zwillinger post last night, apparently allowing all power pools a T3 pick at level 4 was indeed unintended. Sad times.i was reading in another thread that possibly for all power pools they are letting us pick the 3rd power without a prerequisite
IMO i think they are only doing this for the travel pools, but i was wondering if anyone heard about the other pools

I think "Dreamcast Man" was the original version of Synapse as well.

He is. Praetorian Cole killed him right after he gained the power of the Well.

I've had experience with Alienware through my job prior to their becoming involved with Dell, and their customer service was just the worst. It took them six weeks to get me a friggin' replacement CMOS battery, which, of course, was proprietary, so I couldn't just grab one from the local computer parts store.
That was the final straw, but I had plenty of issues between the start of our partnership and then, such as receiving cracked or improperly-installed laptop chassis, specs not matching the orders and once getting a completely different model than we ordered--I think they actually tried to tell me that we'd have to pay for the wrong model anyway.
We actually switched to Dell after all that, and haven't had any real problems since. At the very least, Dell's customer service gets <stuff> done.
(The reason my company was using Alienwares to begin with was because, for the longest time, they were the only company that produced a laptop that used two hard drives, and we required 2 striped drives for video capture performance.) -
*hugs the Kheldians* There there... It'll be okay. <3

Quote:Honestly, I don't even think this part is true, though I would absolutely love to be proven wrong. (I think it'd be fair if Alpha were included with a Going Rogue purchase, but that's just me.)I believe a premium player does keep the Alpha slot and can do the Apex & Tin Mage TFs, but that's it.
As Snow Globe posted, the entire Incarnate system is supposed to be inaccessible to anyone who isn't subscribed. -
ASUS does make a pretty good gaming rig, and I'm not personally a fan of Alienware. The link posted above looks pretty solid to me: 2.0GHz quad-core processor, 8GB of 1333MHz memory, a 500GB hard drive, and an nVidia GTX 460M, all very nice for a (relatively affordable) gaming laptop.

What I've learned the most about all of this:
Next time I go to a convention/sponsored meet & greet, I should bring a pencil and paper.
