Quote:My Elec/Elec Blaster, Honest Abe 2.0, is one of the few Blasters I can actually stand to play. It'll be nice to recreate my Cyborg Lincoln. He's not really Lincoln, just one of the first bionic men made by the government in the 70s who had recently suffered a brain infection due to his aging optical implant and now thinks he's a reanimated through technology Abe Lincoln.
A black colored chin plate makes a passable Lincoln beard.
He's a robotic replica of Abraham Lincoln, powered by a motor that generates electricity whenever he tells the truth. Though he was originally intended to be an educational android who taught children about Lincoln's presidency and life in the Civil War era, a decimal error in the construction of his motor caused him to generate far too much power with the need for frequent discharge. With few other options available, his manufacturers traded him to Paragon City as a nonlethal deterrent to super-powered crime in exchange for tax credits.
He now roams Steel Canyon, educating purse snatchers about life in the mid 1800s and, more importantly, what a burst of 20,000 volts feels like, and why you don't mess with the citizens of Paragon City when Honest Abe 2.0 is around. -
Updated the first post to show the actual sale items. I'll continue to update it as sales cycle, as long as there's interest.

Quote:FYI, when I tested it at Comic Con, I found that you got better speed performance by putting extra enhancements in Fly than in Afterburner. (I haven't played with it since, as I unfortunately do not have room for it in my build. In Beta it was 2 level 50 IO Flys in Afterburner, and 1 level 50 IO Fly in Fly.

This topic has been done to death.
The devs have said that the Server Transfer Token is a gift. As such, they're under no obligation to give you anything else. If you don't want it, simply don't use it. -
Quote:Actually, they're looking into giving Free/Premium players limited access to posting on the forums, per a post from Zwillinger yesterday. It's not a sure thing, but it's something that a lot of players were very vocal about, so they're trying to make it happen.Besides the F2P stuff is pretty limited. No forums posting etc etc.
But the reason they're not giving them full access is so they don't trash the place, as free players are wont to do. Not all of them, mind you, but there's a specific breed of internet troll that likes to jump into a game as soon as it's free and, well, troll the existing community. (And that doesn't even begin to mention the spammers, of which there will be many.) -
Just to clarify here: Paragon POINTS will NOT be given out up front for long-term subscriptions, even after they've fixed the technical issue. You should always get your points on the monthly anniversary of your bill date.
Paragon REWARD TOKENS, on the other hand, are intended to be doled out up front when you make a long-term subscription, but there is a technical issue blocking that from happening at the moment. -
Quote:It was my understanding that Auras were NOT included in the costume bundles? Was I misinformed?
- Alpha Aura and Omega Auras should be added to GR:CC
- All the auras need to be added to costume bundles, looks like.
I'll fix the other things, though. Thanks for putting another pair of critical eyes on it for me. -

The 11.4 drivers are generally said to be the most user-friendly for ATI cards and City of Heroes.
Anything after 11.5 (which I'm running on my machine) causes horrible lock-ups and crashing for me. And even on 11.5, I still get texture rendering problems from time to time, usually on the BAF trial--sometimes, the buildings won't render, or people's speech bubbles will fill with tiny pictures instead of letters--and I have to use the /reloadgfx command to return things to normal. -
For starters, I'd recommend getting your video driver directly from the AMD website. You'll probably want to use the 11.4 version, as that has typically been the most stable release for users of ATI graphics cards and CoH (though that's speaking from my experience with desktops, not laptops).
I don't know specifically how to force CoH to use the ATI card over your Intel card, though, as I've not had the privilege of working with a multi-graphics adapter laptop yet. -
I'm going to roll one or two characters there, but I certainly don't intend to leave Victory.

The beta server is operating off of account information from back in July. It is not intended to be up-to-date with the live servers, as they've been playing with the data on the backend and don't want the two tied together.
Basically, if your account wasn't active in July, then you won't be able to access the beta server without being manually added by one of the moderators. As Kheldarn said, PM Zwillinger or Avatea... but it probably won't happen on Monday, and honestly, it won't matter anyway, because Issue 21 is going live for current subscribers on Tuesday. -
Your in-game email is the same as your global name, complete with the "@" symbol in front of it.
If you can't remember that for some reason, you can either ask a friend to tell it to you, or change it to something easier to remember using the options menu. -
Quote:Beam/Traps Corruptor, Time/Beam Defender.Beam and Traps - Defender or Corruptor version!?!??!?!?!?!
Street Justice is still a month or so out, but I had a helluva lot of fun with my Street Justice/Energy Aura Scrapper while he was available in beta. Got him up to 26 solo (got a level bump from 18 to 20 so I could move on to First Ward after the Shining Stars extended training arcs). That new +Recharge aura really makes the fists (and knees to the junk) fly. -
"If you leave Justice, Mister Flibble will be veeeery cross with you."
(Sorry, just popped in to say I love that name.)
-
You keep your prestige and super group ranking, but you can't enter SG mode or use your base while you're on the opposing side.

I could have used some self-lacing shoes back in kindergarten. My teacher wanted to hold me back because I couldn't tie a bow (and to a lesser extent, because she wanted to "cure" me of being left handed).

A mid-issue release with new Incarnate slots? I highly doubt it.
Anyway, they said on the Facebook Freedom Friday thing this afternoon that there are no new Incarnate slots coming in i21. We can be reasonably sure that there's an i21.5 with another Incarnate Trial on the way before the end of the year, but if they add anything new, it'll be additional powers for the existing slots (the way that i20.5 added a ton of new pets for the Lore slot). -
Quote:"*Well*" meaning what, a week? Two weeks? A month? (Guessing not the latter at this point.)You will know *well* in advance before Issue 21, and conversely Freedom, goes live.
Just sayin'... I usually don't take the day off for issue releases, but if I were going to, I'd need 2 weeks notice to put in for vacation time. -
Quote:Works for me. I know there was an update to the launcher the other day...My question is simple, My Launcher for Live and Beta isn't working...is this happening to everyone?
Are you on Vista/Win 7? Have you tried right-clicking on the shortcut and letting it "Run as Administrator?" -
Sorry to threadjack, but I see that you're from Kearney. I used to live in Hastings. Even though it's been 20 years since I moved away, it's still the place I call "home."
