  1. Another tail-type we need... Multi-tailed.

    Nine-tailed Fox ....
  2. Or, go to the Titan Network forums and download the current patch to Mids.

www.cohplanner.com -> click Titan Forums in top right, scroll down to the Mids forum and it's the first post
  3. A 20% chance for a Mag 2 stun for 8 seconds.

So, 1 in 5 times you sniped a minion, if it lived, it would be stunned for a few seconds.

    Generally, not very useful.

However, for a Dominator who was going to follow it up with an AoE stun, it _could_ be useful for a small chance to insta-stun a boss, ... maybe.
  4. Thanks.

That's what I expected, but couldn't find any confirmation.
  5. There are 4 arcs per patron. ParagonWiki lists them as two at 40-44 and two at 45-50.

My question is this, having never tested it myself...
If you are 45+, are you still offered the second of the 40-44 arcs?

I'm pretty sure you can still do the first to unlock the PPPs. I'm curious as to whether you could/would also get that second arc.

Anybody know? My search-fu turned up nothing about this.
  6. Known problem with some/most ATI video cards in this game.

Check out the sticky in the Tech Support section by Billzbubba.

If you click above and to the left of the enhancer, you'll pick it up normally and can place it. A bit annoying, but there is no current fix.

Maybe it will be fixed by the Ultra-mode changes in GR.

edit: My new 5770 does it, too.
  7. Click on "View active sets". You have a red marker noting that you have too many of that set bonus.

You can only have 5 of that bonus, so the 6th one doesn't work.

  8. Look at City of Data (redtomax) and in game at the power info.

Tanker = GC DDR [ignores enhancements & buffs]

    Scrapper/brute = GC DDR

Tankers GC is NOT enhanceable for DDR, brutes/scrappers is.

edit: Here is a thread on slotting GC for DDR on brutes...

  9. I build all of my characters with ~L32 or ~L37 enhancements in order to be able to exemplar down to 29 or 34, depending on the particular character, without losing any set bonuses.

I start slotting them with sets at L29+ (or L34+) and get the advantage of the set bonuses for the rest of their career and for exemplaring.

    Works very well for me.
  10. I still find it kind of odd that scrapper/brute Grant Cover is enhanceable for DDR, but the Tanker one isn't.

Tankers still end up with slightly more DDR base (before HamiOs). It could have been on purpose to avoid them having too much, or it could be an accident and it should be enhanceable like the brute/scrapper version.

Mostly, I wish a Dev would say one way or the other if the tanker lack was on purpose.

Heh. I just found this post: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...ed#post2366961

and was about to edit my post saying so. My search mistake before was not restricting to Scrapper forum and having too much extra from brute/tank.

    Oh well.

Has anyone posted the simple fix for this in the forum here? A quick search for it doesn't show anyone having done so, but I may have overlooked it.

    Options>Advanced>Database Editor>Main Database Editor>Scrapper Defense>Shield Defense>Phalanx Fighting
click Edit (bottom right near Save & Close)
    goto Effects tab
choose 5th entry (3.75% Ranged) and click edit
on left side is "Affects:" pulldown, change to "none" instead of "target"
click ok> click ok> click save & close, click close

    Tada! Fixed.

Now, if this is just ethics, as in "I don't want to do that because it's a bug exploit", I completely understand ; but for now, the possibility to use HOs to boost Shield DDR is there and definitely matters.

The funny thing to me about this is that folks always seem to think he would have to fix the HOs giving stuff.

The solution, should Castle ever decide to do so, is to flag the DDR in Active Defense as non-enhanceable. It's a much, much simpler solution.

Not that I care if he ever does or does not. Just wanted to point out that the solution is way simpler than most make it out to be.
  15. Is nobody going to mention how nice two (or three) Blessing of the Zephyr are in Fly?

That's 3.13% Ranged, 1.56% Energy/Negative defense with two of them. The bonus for three is tough because of how expensive the KB IO is, but it's just as nice (AoE/Fire-Cold).

edit: Ok, Call_Me_Awesome did. Missed it.
  16. Just wanted to note that pool 3 and 4 and the PPP on VEATs is still wonky. Extra stuff shows up and the PPP has doubled up, written over each other entries.
  17. I forgot to add a hearty

    Thank You!

    to my earlier bug report.

    So, there it is.
  18. Here's a bug for ya....

Choosing Arachnos Soldier, Bane primary and secondary, Choosing first (and 2-4) power pool and I get a weird list that isn't the pool powers (fail safe, self destruct, etc.).

    Safari 4.0.2 (on a Mac w/ Leopard 10.5.7)
  19. I'd certainly like it. If for no other reason than going back red-side to get missed Mayhem mission exploration badges for Invader.
  20. Was just about to post the same thing. The character I have logged out in GC on test can't login. Others can.

    Otherwise, that doesn't compute.
  22. Costume Piece: Hair: Ice

When you are made semi-transparent (stealth, shadow fall, etc.), The area beneath your hair but above your eye-line becomes completely transparent.

You cease to have a part of your head. The hair is still there, the area from the eye-line down is there, but the area between is just gone. You can see inside your (empty) skull.

I like the Ice hair a lot, but that bugs me for some reason.

    Um...

Powerset Proliferation - More powersets are now in the hands of Archetypes who couldn't use them previously! Blasters will have access to Radiation Blast, Brutes will get their Claws on, Controllers can now freeze it up with Cold Domination, and Corruptors get to feel the "twang" of Archery and Trick Arrow. Defenders can go high-tech with Assault Rifle and Traps, and Dominators can pulverize their enemies with Earth Assault. Masterminds heat things up with Thermal Radiation, Scrappers and Tankers get ready to fry their foes with Electric Melee and Electric Armor, and finally Stalkers get to swing their own mighty Broadsword.

    Fort fine tuning

Dominate is your SECOND most damaging ranged attack. If you are going for a ranged build, you WANT it, you NEED it, you should HAVE it. PLUS, it's a _Hold_!!

Personally, Tough isn't really worth it. I would replace Tough and Weave with Dominate and Maneuvers.

In PM, Castle told me it's a combination of the dot effect of fire and the na-na-can't-hit-me effect of SR basically triggering the AI's "grief" tag.

If the new APP Blaze set is a copy of Tanker's Fire APP, Ring of Fire might be worth getting. Double stacked (depends on slotting) and it would easily lock 'em in place.
