Is there a way to make Mid's calculate phalanx correctly? I am looking at builds and all of them don't seem capped but around 42 but I was told it was because of phalanx.

Mids has a bug that doesn't calculate the Ranged Def Phalanx Fighting gives. This can be fixed by:

Options - Advanced - Database Editor - Main Database Editor - select 'Scrapper Defense' - select 'Shield Defense' - double-click 'Phalanx Fighting' - select 'Effects' tab - double-click '2.55% Defense(Ranged)...' - On the left for the Affects:" drop down window select "Self" - click 'OK' - click 'OK' - click 'Save and Close'.

Or, go to the Titan Network forums and download the current patch to Mids.

www.cohplanner.com -> click Titan Forums in top right, scroll down to the Mids forum and it's the first post

I have the same version as on the cohplanner site (1.601, database version 1.69204 11/09/09) and it still has the Phalanx Fighting bug.

The Effect that needs to be changed is actually "3.75% Defense(Ranged)" and I set it to "None" rather than "Self". The three variable effects were set to "Self", but the other two base effects were set to "None". There was a note that said "Power also affects Self" so I think "None" works fine. At least the numbers are right in Mids' now.
