  1. was left with @Energyneer, didn't want it, so am now @Dombot.
  2. Lie to me lost it a while ago after abandoning what had made it good in the second season. not shocked frankly
  3. You wouldn't have diversionary attacks in other zones to dilute the opposing forces?
  4. Oh it would never work in RP or game mechanics and is clearly a "I am teh awesomz" move in hilariously bad fashion. I was just pointing out your grievous and unforgivable error that if you where allowed to maintain would lead only to ruin and lamentation.

Yea. Like that. Nothing to throw bombs back through.
uh those are teleport precursors, The portal is the big thing you shut down in the lady grey TF.
  6. Yeah, I don't like the assumption in that graphic that river is imprisoned before meeting the doctor.

I say the descendants didn't have FTL. and wouldn't want to hunt down Stargates. since you know, no FTL so they kind of needed them.

Our government is a damn sight better than most any of the alternatives; it takes an extraordinarily perverse view of history to harp endlessly on the USA when the far worse flaws of her enemies are staring everyone in the face. Or, perhaps it's just cowardice: after all, the USA never threatened to decapitate a cartoon artist over a caricature.

FWIW, my problem with Wikileaks is that it's so obviously fishing for embarrassing details to release. If there are real abuses to reveal, then fine, cloak yourself in that peculiarly European self-righteousness that comes after 70 years of relying on the United States to provide free defense. Go to town. But releasing private diplomatic dispatches? What higher purpose could it possibly serve to let the wider world know that a US Ambassador thinks another country's king is a dweeb? Those kinds of details are gratuitous, purely intended to undermine what could be important relationships.

This is typical balance of power stuff here; the United States is seen as worse than it is -- viewed with jealousy and/or fear -- simply because it is the most powerful. It's hard to do, but I'd urge you to sit down and think -- really think -- about what every other powerful nation in history has done by contrast. Or, if you prefer, just wait awhile. We may very well see what happens when the United States loses its place in the world sooner rather than later. That won't be a happy day, not even for the most wild-eyed UCLA poli-sci professor.

In the meanwhile, I'd like to give a hearty shout out to our forum-moderator overlords.
Or viewed as a younger sibling, who is free of our baggage yet seems set on repeating all of our most grievous errors.

The history of Europe is a litany of horrific crimes against our selves and others, just getting our leaders to stop randomly massacring "troublesome" groups and kicking the church out of affairs of state took us a thousand years.
  10. Wait so adding layer upon layer of currencies and collectables just makes the game an incoherent mess?

    who would have thunk it!

The Inet Taurus one looks pretty good - similar to the bits I'm about to buy myself actually, though not being able to read Swedish does make it a bit trickier to comment on the upgradability

Watercooling & Blueray burner are overkill unless you really want them; SLI can be good, but a lot of games either don't support it (Like CoH ) or don't implement it very well meaning that you're usually better off with a more powerful single card.

As for monitors, 99% of gaming graphics cards have dual outputs so that's not a problem, but you probably won't want to run them as a single display because very few things will support that kind of horizontal resolution (plus it looks really weird having stuff stretched across two 16:9 or 16:10 monitors like that ), I always find it better to run them as two connected displays so that applications behave properly and don't sit across the join all the time.
    Pretty much this.

Water cooling and SLi are unnecessary complications unless you are in to it. Which you have never struck me as.

The Inet Taurus is definitely the best of the options presented.

The gate thing was the biggest bug bear for me too.

other than that it was a pretty solid show.
  14. If they manage to eliminate 90% of the waffle it might do better than the books at actually telling the story than the books do. gave up after three books and the three thousandth description of what people where eating.

Also some how the country side is more densely populated than most cities, which was odd.

    Seemed well done though.

And out of those thousands, how many have successfully completed all three stages to the end?

    Two.

And that is awesome. The sheer challenge of the show makes it worth watching (that and watching people fail at various obstacles and fall into the water, that never gets old).

This is how I am looking at the new Incarnate Trials. Yes, they are hella hard, yes I die a lot, and yes, I have yet to successfully complete one. But you know what? I like that. I am enjoying the challenge of it all. I am liking that it takes a lot of teamwork and strategy. And one day, when I do finally complete a trial, I'll be proud of my real accomplishment.

So, thank you Paragon Studios, for giving us an epic challenge. For giving us something we cannot button-mash through. Something that there is no uber-build for. Something that takes effort and perseverance and we will eventually have real bragging rights for completing it.
Have you ever seen some one trying so hard to convince them selves that something boring and repetitive is awesome?

1 million words according to the global language monitor, and even that is only a rough estimate.

Incarnate XP unlocks slots, you can then add a basic type for that slot of your choice. (So for Alpha: select Musculature, Nerve, Cardiac, Spiritual)

Incarnate XP can then be directed in one of three ways:

1: Levelling up that power. Level up Musculature to 100%, choose Core/Radial Musculature. Level that up, choose the next branch of choice. Level that up to very rare. You can go back at any point and level another branch up, and then switch between branches.

2: Levelling up the next tier slot of choice for unlocking. Unlock Alpha + Musculature, then you keep the Common (Level 1) Musculature, and start on either Judgement or Interface unlocking.

3: A Mix of two: Level Musculature and Interface at the same time (XP split 50/50), or level Interface and Judgement unlocks.

Once you've unlocked everything you want, you can't store that Incarnate XP (or iXP) up, so when the new set of trials arrive with the next slots, you start putting XP into there however you wish. In the meantime, you could work on levelling up your various branches to be able to switch Incarnate abilities for whatever situation you think you may need.
I would have stuck with what we had in the very first place, XP for leveling, inf for everything else.

Yes lots of people have lots of it, but that was their fault for awarding it like candy at halloween.

even if you added they salvage layer, you have to buy it to craft the thing, it's the same difference, too much abstraction just to make everyone start from scratch.

Pro tip: set the max inf cap low. wow, suddenly people don't have masses of inf to throw around.

Uh, what? how do you show a movie in anything else? it's a massive screen it would be a blurry mess if it was shown at standard TV quality, hell, cinema projectors probably show it at better than the proposed "quad HD" standard.

It's really only applies to TV signals since the quality was so low.
