One of the better ways of getting more items to market is merging all the Damn Mez into two categories Hard control/Soft control.
Balance the Drop rate. Balance is important!!! Slows should not be topping the list of things to get on a random Merit roll.
Actually diversify the bonuses. Everyone knows that Positrons blast set is great and the rest are crap or purple/pvp. Ranged and Melee Suffer from it too, two good sets and the rest are crap or purple/pvp. The Dev team loves to 'balance' everything they get thier paws on....its time to not halfway it. Balance it all or none of it.
more inf sinks. Bases are a great start...which means bases need some serious fixing.

I have recently been seeing an influence farm team in PI, and it is...sobering.
Eight controllers, four fire/kin, four fire/shield. All with leadership and the fire epic for fireballs, holds, and of course, rise of the phoenix.

Unlimited stacking buffs are....ridiculously broken.
What Im saying is the majority of people playing this game are dumb, and Despite my Hatred of RO network....Most of them do these things that are 'broken' on a daily basis. Outside of them and my 4 friends....I never see this kind of stacking so its hardly an "issue". Heck, theres more bubblers than smart pugs -

Time bomb on a team.....roll into the next spawn....drop the time bomb then fade back to your team. Time it right and it should explode as your team is moving into the spawn....
Being a healbot is not what traps is about. By that i mean, waiting for someone else to pick up agro.... use your tools...dont be a tool like the rest of these posters. -

Stealth traps.....its run in, lay down a poison trap, drop an acid mortar.....keep mashing gun buttons till everythings dead.....repeat. If youre bored, lay down a mine. Got something that looks potentially painful? Seeker drones. Wanna pull a second spawn? Time bomb them. 15 seconds is more than enough time to do something else.
Sonic resonance. Nuff said.
Rad. Easy buff. Dont get bogged down on Ri....use Ef. Blow up your friends then mutate them. Lingering Rad is great for just about every spawn and Tough nuts.
Dark Miasma Nuff said.

I have a gripe with the size of Rooms
Workshop: theres a 2x2 Room that holds 9 storage. Theres a 4x3 room that holds 9 storage. The small room is too small and the large room is too big. Can we get something in the middle? Can we get more sizes? different sizes?
Teleport: The progression is telporter rooms hold 1,2,3,4,4,8....the room sizes are 2, 2x2, 3x3, 4x3, 4x4, 5x5. The only rooms that work right as far as teleporters go is the 2 and 2x2 room. The rest of the rooms are too large and the progression is off. More sizes please. 8 tpers in a room is fine, but 25 squares is too much.
Medbay: 2x2 is too large for a single Rez ring. can we get a 2 square room like the Telporter room that only holds 1 teleporter?
Energy: 2 rooms, different costs, hold exactly the same amount of 'stuff'. -

Well any At with mez protection will get more mileage (and better self defense values) out of leadership pools since it never turns off ( for them). -
Ive found fun use as a pulling power......setup an acid mortar on one large, could take a few moments group.....run over drop time bomb on the second group......run back, around a corner......Traps is a puzzle with all the pieces.....just gotta hammer them sometimes.

I realize like maybe 10 or 20 people love arrows, maybe even upwards of 50....but thats too few for the devs to care about.

Last and certainly the worst.....its a bow. Theres plenty of other MMO's that have bows you can twang in.
now make it a grenade launcher and Im all for the change. Hell, the devs already have the animations for grenade launchers, they can just tuck those into customization..... -

I play toons that get some sort of -def on the enemies (swords, acid mortars, friends with swords) and I love Plasmatic taser. Luckily people through the high level one for cheap, and finally theres a use for Thorns and Temp analyzers.
Yeah all that salvage that the Rewards team put in but never used in recipes finally gets a use. (over exaggerated but pretty darn close) -

For a more broad example, the ITF. It's already short and worth plenty of merits, yet people STILL insist on trying to get it done in under a half hour. Would they still do so if the merit rewards were chopped in half? ~21 merits is too low for a half hour of work?
Players seem to have the inclination that the Devs time:merit ratio is intrinsically too low, and they want to beat that metric by completing tasks faster. They don't want a merit for five minutes, they want five merits for a single minute. With the posi Tfs rewards being as low as they are, you'd have to complete both halves in like 10 minutes. Thoroughly impossible, and so now it's "now worth it".
Because it can't be gamed.
And THAT's the issue, it seems. The rewards aren't "too low". They're "too low to bother abusing the TF". And that's a player perception/entitlement issue.
Under your, ahem, idea of exploit this is the only logical action the devs can take to disabuse players from doing anything in an, ahem, exploitive manner.
So get out there and pitch that idea to the Devs....With players like you and Alt-o-holic Im sure we can clean up this game of filthy exploiters. Heck, you'll love FF11 you should give that a shot someday. -

you have to build for solo play, because unlike other games that are actually tedious (Wow, FF11) you dont know what kind of team you will get.
In those other games, the holy trinity means youre playing 1 of 3 pre-concieved At's. youre one of those At's so you NEED the other 2 and have to wait around, possibly for hours trying to fill those slots.
In Cox you could get anything from try-tank stalkers to healbot defenders(mostly on Freedumb) to Av killer Controllers (not on Freedumb) to dead on the ground again Blaster.....You might see a bubbler that actually bubbles instead of standing around being a healtard....you might see a tank that is impressive....
Leadership pool is really impressive stacked, and you cant convince 5 freedumbites that heals arent neccesary to do a cape mission. Yeah, Freedumb is that dumb. Sadly the rest of the population is fairing almost slightly higher than that.
Unless you have a few friends and can static team a toon, you build solo, or you quit playing. Theres advice in the forums....just remember to use a hero builder. -

250 merits generates 12 recipes or it can be spent on a single one. 11 recipes therefore never exist.
The problem with the merit system is that Call of the sandman chance for heal is equal in merits to a numina or miracle unique. How many people can use a Sandman vs how everyone can use The other two? There was a Stun recipe that i wanted to merit, because it was pool C, but it costs exactaly as many merits as a Lotg 7.5 recipe.
Sadly the arrogance of the Devs regarding this matter is a dirty shame. The random chance was fun, Bmls runs were alot of fun. The Devs decided that Punishing redside because of Khtf was far better than just dropping Khtf from random rolls and putting in more Redside Tfs.
Maybe someday theyll listen to thier playerbase instead of Arcannaville (sp) half the time and rolling the keener players up with the dirty exploiters and ignoring both kinds of people.
