My 'mains' have all been made 'inherant compliant', but every now and then I like to switch it up and play other characters. And they all made it to 50 with legacy fitness just fine.

And really, in most cases all inerrant fitness would do is add a couple utility powers, nothing game changing.
That command has been a godsend when finishing up a respec. I dont know why the game insists on putting those trash temp powers you accumulate during a career of crimefighting (or crimedoing), but it was the most annoying part of the respec process, and the one that put me off doing them for so long.
I mean, there are so many tools available to help the planning process (okay, just two, but between the Sentinel program, and MIDS, running a respec is dead easy, especially if you have a second monitor/computer on which to view the apps), but until I learned about the /cleartray command, I'd sit there for much too long deleting the icons from my trays (and I usually run the default 3, plus at least 1 and sometimes as many as 3 additional trays).
  2. Just a quick question. How do you get Quicksand on a Fire/Super Strength tank? Is it taken as a PPP?

    Rule of 5

Nope. Individual bonuses from enhancements only stack with each other for Rule of 5 purposes(although, I think that particular enhancement is a unique, so you can only slot it once). But in either case, it wont interfere with any other similar bonuses that come from having multiple pieces of a set slotted

    Very Rare AS

I'm pretty sure he's talking about on the crafting page for each rare, there are 6 different options. This is because you can use any 2 of the 4 available rare boosts to combine into your purple boost. They gave each of the possible combinations as an option, so you arent forced to pick a specific pair if you want the purple, but screwed if you picked something else. The only combination you cant use is two of the same rare boost.
  5. I took my Fire/Fire tank from 42 to 49 solely by doing 4 ITFs and an STF. I was hoping to hit 50, but it was my sister's last weekend in town before heading overseas for a teaching position, so I thought it more important to spend time with her.
Other than that, I picked up a level on a couple other minor alts.
  6. Well, to be fair, I think you'll also find double the number of people looking for teams/ TFs.
  7. I'd switch around Tough/Boxing with Recall Friend/Teleport. Those are going to be some painfully slow 9 levels waiting until you can take TP. Also, I'd try to fit in Hasten before Granite as well.
In fact, if you slot your AoEs with +def bonuses, you can probably swap out one or two of the Granite slots for resistance set IOs, and save yourself having to pick up Tough. Granite is incredibly easy to cap for S/L
On my Stone guys, I usually go with 2 slots for my "extra" armours, with one LotG: +Rech, and one GotA: +Runspeed. If you can spare a slot from other places, puting in a second LotG isnt a bad call for the Regen bonus.
Your Resists arent capped, (at the very least, Smashing and Lethal should be capped), but your defences are probably close enough.
I usually go with the Winter's Gift: 20% slow resist in Recall Friend, and put an EndRed in TP, because it can be a bit of a hog if you're using it a lot.
  8. Also, one thing to note about Praetoria is that its very easy to outlevel a lot of the mission arcs if you're not careful, so a lot of people tend to avoid teaming if they're looking to get the badges/accolades that are available before beeing booted out into the real world.

Or, they turn off their XP gain until they've finished the arcs... which is not something you'll find in most games
  9. <unnecessary pedantic grammar/spelling correction>
    Its curb.
    </unnecessary pedantic grammar/spelling correction>
  10. Except that its not the Vendor price that you get back for selling IOs during a respec... its the crafting cost.

And sadly, like the number differences with the Alpha slot itself, I think the justification for this kind of elitism will actually be based more on verifiable, provable reality than just the run-of-the-mill baseless stupidity.
That might be one of the benefits of playing on a lower population server (rather than say... Freedom). On my home server of Protector, there seems to be a lot less discrimination.

When the calls for the various TFs go out over the global channels, there are usually enough responses to fill the team, and maybe a couple extra that get left out, who then go on to start a second TF. Of course, the 2nd TF may have to resort to needling others to help fill out the group, and thus takes a bit longer to form.

The end result, though, is that teams tend to be far more accepting of anyone (with the exception of the Incarnate TFs that require a slotted Alpha boost to be able to actually help the team). I've never seen anyone who was eligible to take part in a TF be turned away because they didnt have their alpha slot, even when attempting Master runs, and I would be shocked to see it happening in the future.

    Faultline.

Wait a second... the Arch-Villain Faultline? Isnt Jim Trebor's super hero name Faultline?During the RWZ mission arc where you join Vanguard, dont you rescue and fight along side him and Fusionette?
  14. Hey, I'm exactly the same. I can no longer create a new character on my main server without first deleting an existing one, and only 4 of them are at 50. The rest are somewhere between 20 and 40, with more in the lower end. Although, I do find myself doing more TFs these days, so that might contribute.

I certainly understand using them in addition to fully slotted stamina (that's what my Fort does), but not instead of.
The cost of it is irrelevant, as I dont buy them from WW. I have stacks of them that have dropped while playing over the years, and slowly levellling up my guys. One of the benefits of just enjoying the game, rather than the mad dash power levelling to 50 (which, thankfully, doesnt seem that common on my primary server).
And I dont need cash any longer thanks to multiple purple drops that I seem to have lucked into recently, so there's no reason to sell them off to fund my guys.
  16. I will often 3 slot Health with just the three uniques (two of which boost recovery), and then leave the default slot in Stamina and put the Performance Shift proc there. If I'm still desperate for End (like on my Katana/Dark scrapper, which seems to be soul crushingly End heavy, even with just a couple toggles on, let alone the whole bunch), I'll put an extra slot for the Performance Shift: EndMod IO

It's very handy when your best fighting toon is on the same account you want to PL another alt with. Although I haven't used it in a while since GR came out and I acually like the content in Praetoria.
I do this as well with my 2 accounts, although sometimes, I take it a bit further and have 2 sets of pacted characters that I swap partners with (ie, take the 2nd account's character from team 2, and play him with the main account from team 1). That way, I've got 4 characters that are being levelled up at once.
Of course, its going twice as slowly, which is where Patroll XP comes in handy.
  18. It only unlocks for the person with the mission. Anyone on the team that has the mission (and selects the auto-complete like missions option), then they will unlock the Alpha slot. You dont get credit for simply tagging along.
This means that every character that wants to unlock their Alpha slot has to go through the entire arc. You cant just skip to the last mission, and get the credit (like you can with the Midnighter Club Access arcs)

No, I didnt mean that they always rez. But when they do, they always rez at full health. The Super Stunner rez is different in that their health and endurance is based on the number of targets.

Since they all seem to have selected powers from /regen, think they all have Revive from regen. Just don't always use it. Could probably use AE to check though.

The standard Freakshow revive is different than the Super Stunner one, though. The SS, when they come back (and it's automatic if there's even one person in range), shows balls of red electricity coming from each person in range into their body as they rise from the dead and float in the air. This lowers the recovery of every affected character to 2% higher than your current end cost, which is something I noticed on a Sister Psyche TF last night, where my Katana/Dark scrapper was originally running with all the toggles on, but decided to run most of the TF with only a couple. With all the toggles running, the recovery was lowered to around 1.59. With only a couple running, it was lowered to .59.
The amount of people in range affects the health and end of the SS when they rise. If there isnt anyone in range, the power fires off harmlessly, and the SS does not get resurrected.

The standard revive is a chance effect on any freakshow, regardless of the amount of people in range. There's a crackle of electricity around their body, and they stand up from a prone position. It doesnt affect those that are in range, and they always revive with full health and half end.
  21. Damn it... I remembered the list wrong, and spent all night levelling up my Virtue tanker, not realizing that it's on Infinity this week. Grrrr.
Oh well, looks like there's another sewer run in my future.

    Also, I lost the game.
I think its meaning is less "to lose money", and more "to be cheated out of money" which is where it enters the derogatory territory.

I'm more surprised at the lack of offense over the usage of the phrase "Rule of thumb" and get a perverse kick out of women using it.

  24. I used the current freespec on my main 50 yesterday prior to the new one being given out today, and successfully completed the process without any problems (either in the respec itself, or with the inserted alpha boost)
