So from reading this thread, it's the regulation of the AE that seems to be the problem. The Devs have created a monster that just gets nerf batted time and time again.

They themselves do not have the time to monitor every arc, but I bet amongst our gaming population we have enough people who have the integrity to "Review" a certain number of arcs for a few hours or so a week.

The exact system would be up to the Devs/Paragon studios etc...email interviews etc, then always renumeration/reward would come up, free play time, in game cossie bits etc could be on offer...after all they're gamers to. A who watches the watchers program to, someone double checking others work 1 or 2 times, all companies should review peoples work from time to time.

Anyway, just an idea at this stage, and nothing to argue about, just discuss and an idea that might be mooted in a brainstormong session.

I concure.....2 Fire/SD Brutes will just be ripping through 8 man with boss spawns 30+, heck a I have 2 Scrappers, elec/sd and fire sd and 50 who rip through 8 man with boss spawns solo at 50 to..they are io'd out and softcapped to, and a 50 SD/Elec tank that rips through the same, just a bit slower, but with more leeway hehe.

So I would NOT got fire/Traps on a corr with that team...your "Control" of the team in slowing them down would just lower your DPS...drop there fury to nothing and slow you all down.

Just go /Pain or /Dark, or /anything other than Traps

Either way have fun.

I did Shield/Elec Tank...the double TP attack was fun and softcapped defence with a full set of Makos, a set of Scirrocos and a Obliteration Set. That teamed with the sf prot def, weave and CJ had me there

No, you have to be in SG mode for the SG you're in for any progress to count on the SG badge bars.

Remember the Going Rogue announcement was initially rushed because of the Posirant about AE exploitation, just saying, so we had GR announced to quiet us down for a while, when in reality they would have probably wanted to announce it later, but had to because of someone shooting from the hip then realising that a better thought out and worded post would have done better.

Masterminds, Doms, Stalkers, Brutes, Corruptors, SoA, WoA.....hmm, let me think.

Oh yes, all except the Corr will solo the Posi at a reasonable speed, but I think that may be down the the fact that the Corr is the only one outside of BF's that can't get reasonable mez protection when needed, but may make up for it depending on its secondry.

Then, will they just grab 3 Soldiers, cap the whole teams def and just rip through it on a mad 8, I don't know, but can't wait to find out how all th hero TF's stand up the the Villainous AT's

I for one think that Diminishing Returns is an unfair system when it comes to PvP. Why should anyone that has invested that much time in an alt be reduced to nothing and put on a par with someone who has "Just popped in for a look"

PvP as it is, whilst leveling the playing field for noobs seems to have done away with most elitism, and the PvP IO's just seem to have become the newer shinier Purples.

OP, if you want good gear, go earn it, if you want to PvP, go get in the zone, if you want Purples, go earn the inf to get them or kill the mobs to have them drop.

Do not come on here crying about this that and the other simply becasue you don't have the time or inclination to go and get it. You need to earn it in this game, no one's going to hand it to you on a plate.

And before anyone has a go, I have had a few Purple drops, but like to sell them to buy stuff for my alts, and although I pvp a little to try and get the SG stuff and the odd badge I haven't had a PvP IO drop, but don't come on here wining about it. If I spent a long time "Succesfully" PvPing I might have expected a drop or two if I had killed many players alts, but as I only have around 200 or so pvp kills across my alts I neither expect to have a PvP IO, as I would think they would have roughly the same drop rate as Superior Recipies, which means I would have to kill 1000's in PvP to get one.

Anyway, that's enough of that. To sum up, if you want the leet stuff, go earn it and put the time in, if you don't put the time in, don't cry if you get ganked in a PvP zone by someone who has.....

They decreased the XP you need to get to the eary 20's didn't they, and that was AFTER XP smoothing, so 1 to 24 (I think its 24) is so much faster these days to when I and many of you started playing, heck I can remeber it taking me over a week to get to 12 when I first started, and wondering what these funny DO things were, wasn't the person near Ms Liberty my supplier, oh them were the days hehe.

Anyway, I digress, I thought the problem had been fixed by this, and a raft of inumerable little tweaks along the way to make the 1-20 game a hell of a lot easier than it used to be.

That's just my input on the subjest here.

Although committed to playing on as many servers as I can, I spent Januaury, and around $40 on extra slots for my Virtue server and build a Hero base there. 3 weeks and its up and running with TP's to all zones and global friends in both my Villain Group and Hero Group now, so any swapping will already have a base on both sides, with people to invite them.

In reply to the AE Devs Choice normal drops option. I got an Armageddon Proc doing a devs choice mission, so they do drop them in normal drops plz mode

And...some sense in some mission placement, robbing The Thorn Island Branch of the LSSL bank is fun sometimes, but trekking all the way to the north of the Nerva Zone for a bank robbery on a will desolate place inhabited by mad mages hmmmm

I remember doing an arc once and I got the dreaded next mission appear in my screen..."PATROL INDEPENDENCE PORT"........................

Well as you can imagine, I would never do this arc in flashback with no travel power or AT only powers ever, ever, ever!!!

Current toon I'm lvling WP/SS Tank..in the 30's evens/5man with boss, since 40 evens/8 man with bossess and now onto +1/8 man with boss, no AV and having a laugh fighting for hours(well 2 hours for 41-42) continuously cackeling away mwahahaha!!!

SS/WP Brute and my MA/WP Scrapper generally evens/8 man with bossess for general inf and my night widow is a masochist and likes doing even/8 man with boss canarie and malta for fun.

Others AT's (and non WP Tanks) I only team with really so can't comment on that, but generally when leveling, till 22 its default setting, after SO's kick in I go to +1/3man with boss then in the 40's for scrappers and Brutes i got to 5 man, just for ease more than anything else. Never bother putting AV's in, bragging rights are ok i suppose but fighting them is a real bad inveastment of my time for the return.

Done 2 thug/storms before, total awesome win, first time we wanted to KB our enemies on purpose, played Gale tennis with some too, very ammusing and very fun.

Testing a server that allows more than 50 people in a zone, and without any lag as well, and merging the EU and US server lists

It's not a bug, it's been around since dot as far as the Lost are concerned...and now others can spawn bossess to Solo...It's more xp, I love it

A lot of us want this, I for one, but if it's not asked for every week will the devs think we don't want it as much and forget about it, but if someone asks for it at least once a week hopefully they won't forget hehe

Sod IW.....just fix widows in PvP full stop will do. How many other AT's get nerfed into nothing in PvP...not happy after 750mill and 700+ merits spent on them to find that elude in pvp adds 10% to def and Mindlink 5%, and my other defences get nerfed to insignificance.................................... .........rant over

Welcome to City of Heroes

I tried this game 4 years ago, and I'm still here, after trying many others. The community is better here than any other I have been on and this game done not need phat lewt to be fun...but it helps

I play on just about all of the servers, some are quieter thatn others, but never had problems teaming on any of them. Try Freedom or Virtue first, and remember their is the same % of idiots on all servers, so on the higher populated ones you will see more of them but it evens itself out
