Duo thug MMs

Me and a buddy are going to duo some Thugs action for the stacked tactics and overall ownage that thugs offer.

What would you all suggest as 2 good secondaries. (would like to stay away from dark)

I was thinking to pair thug with thermal, to add heals and good resistances, with some nice debuffs and a sweet damage boost to throw on my homeboy brute.

I have not read many if any posts referring to thugs/thermal so I would much appreciate some feedback on that and any other secondaries. Thanks

One of you should be Traps. Traps is awesome. Plus, stacked Enforcer buffs + FFG and Leadership from the MMs should get your Thugs to the softcap easy, with no expensive IOs required.

Thermal would be a good one for the other secondary, since you're avoiding Dark.

Pain might also be good. Pain might actually be better, because it's more team-buffing than single-buffing like Thermal.

Done 2 thug/storms before, total awesome win, first time we wanted to KB our enemies on purpose, played Gale tennis with some too, very ammusing and very fun.

Thanks for the replies. As much as we both like traps, we wanted heals for those times when we are alone. I went Thugs/thermal and my friend went Thugs/pain. We are sitting at lvl 22 now and needless to say we love this duo!

So far our secondaries are providing lots of survivability for our already sturdy pets (6 stacked leadership ftw). Our brutes will be arriving soon on their hogs and forge is just around the corner for my thermal. My buddies pain tree will soon be getting his buffs/debuffs and add those to thermals later game debuffs, I dont see much standing in our way.

I think what I like most about this combo is the less need for perfect positioning. I dont mind corner pulling, in fact for my fire/traps corr it has almost been essential for success, same goes for my friends zombie/dark. But with these 2, we are able to fight more "on the fly" so to speak, and this goes well with a kb/kd ranged set like thugs.

Yeah I run 2 thugs MMs as well. They are very fun to play.
Right now my favorite.
I took dark on one and storm on the other.
I think the 2 work VERY well together. IMO of course.
I just let the 2 fire thugs suicide themselves and all the others are just killers with no mercy.
I 6 slotted gang war and it's really awesome to hit a AV with.
There is just too many of them for it to know what to do.
The AV will hit a few and then stand there for a sec like it's thinking "Crap! This is doing me no good at all!".
Fun Stuff!

You also can't go wrong with 2 thugs/traps. More than 2 would be a waste, but 2 of you is exactly enough to really lay down the hurt. What could be more awesome than multiple acid mortars and poison traps on every spawn?

I will not rest until we have in-game throwable pies!

A combo of shields and heals is hard to beat, even considering the old forcefield/empath teaming, it's all covered. Thermal and Pain Dom do indeed have some great debuff skills. Good luck with the hog riders.

when my buddy and I rolled duo Thugs MM I rolled /poison and he rolled /ff. It seemed to work well for us (it is certainly a really fun pair to play).
