Alan will give you missions in a few levels. You need to choose a patron and finish their arcs first though.

He has to redraw, because the device isn't part of the mace. It would cause clipping issues that Developers tend to prevent or fix.

Quote:Massive defense, but if your hit, you're gonna need some green inspirations.I now have her wearing the Peerless badge constantly, and I can't help but wonder how much of a steamroll an all-VEAT STF would be...
As for me, I'm not an RPer, but my Widow is a hero now, and my Bane/Crab is still a villain. If I had to make a story for my Widow though, it would be related to how my Widow wants to learn from the best of both worlds (It ties in with how I slot my Widow for Perma-Elude and Acc/Damage). -
Lovely guide. Just one note though, Mind Link is not limited to Fortunatas. It is essentially a Arachnos Widow power. Unless of course your stressing the use of Fortunatas as a ranged class.

Ahh yes, I forgot about the developer discussion regarding inherent health/stamina pool and etc.

Quote:I'd suggest checking the lights on your router whenever it happens, just to make sure it's not a power supply problem.Im connected directly to the router. I have completed the same mission I was having issues with. By using my invisibility power to bypass some of the ghouls in the tunnels.
Then I was stable for like hours. So Im not sure if it's a time thing.
Im going to try a different server to test this out, but from what I am hearing on global chat this has been happening to others as well.
Oh I also "Just in case" updated the drivers for the router, rebooted it, and also updated the firmware (I dont know what that is, but I was told I should)
Hopefully I can figure something else out. Ill check back with my ISP tommorow
I've been having trouble on Freedom lately with my WRT54Gv8 more so than before, but it has always been buggy and dropping connections. It is either about to die, or the server load is causing more trouble on my end and their end. -
Personally, I'd like to see some type of Halloween area in Pocket D, similar to Winter area. Sort of a Nightmare before Christmas kind of look about it.
It would never happen though, unless Sexy Jay and the map designers are feeling as crazy as me. -
I'm going to be getting this badge now. I like the reference more than anything.

That sort of proves the point even more so. They might not be "our" Devouring Earth, and the new dimensional access points are allowing more than Praetorians to come through.

Quote:I'd agree with that. My NW only has vengeance, which is applicable for a team heal, but I have quite a bit more healing badge points then all my task force vengeances.Ok, the mechanic says healed other heroes, but I will tell you now from personal experience with my regen crapper, dark armor brute and stone tank, self heals also count. They honestly shouldn't, but they do.
Now don't go setting your heals to auto or anything, it only gives credit when you actually healed damage, so if you're at full or have max HP boosted and you're only healing the boosted part, it won't give credit. That's why you don't see that many melee characters with healing badges. None of the 3 characters I mentioned actually have the healing badges, but they have a lot of credit since they heal themselves often. Actual regen doesn't count either, only green numbers from click heals like Reconstruction, Dull Pain, Dark Regeneration, Siphon Life and Earth's Embrace (and any other click heal used when you are actually damaged).
Edit: I forgot, inspirations also do it. -
Try switching your graphics to Performance. Even playing on Minimum caused my laptop's card to have freaky glitches, but I just realized that Performance mode would stop it for me.
It may have to do with Ultra Mode settings. -

Quote:It's the player aided by the build, not the build aided by the player. I'm taking you specifically out of context, because this response leads me to believe that a Bane isn't your type of class. That is like comparing apples and oranges. Banes can solo certain eb's, however they are sol when it comes to eb's that can unstop like Statesman.
I got my first 50 villain with a stalker, and I learned how to solo with both my Night Widow and Bane by playing a stealth class. My Bane is slotted barely, not as much as my Night Widow, yet he is capable of soloing a Statesman slightly less than my Night Widow.
My pet peeve is when one person rationalizes that a class or group is or isn't capable of something, because he or she hasn't found his or her way to play with the class or group. Again I say, it's the player aided by the build, not the build aided by the player.
And no, I don't use Mid's. My builds are made on the fly as I do math on what I want out of my character. -

Let's all just hope that they did this as a preparation for Incarnates, because testing showed that they made the CoP a cakewalk. (Even though that is still stupid to do it BEFORE release)
Otherwise,
FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU -
I didn't even take a PPP on my Night Widow. 151% global recharge and 1-hit KOs on Lts with 2 hit-KOs on bosses is fine by me.
-
With those changes to the pools, I'll be looking at Aid Self, Follow Up, and Mental Blast or Poison Dart.
Aid Self, because my rarely hit, but it hurts when I am.
Follow Up for some additional damage.
Mental Blast for a ranged attack, since Dart Burst doesn't always cut it, especially when I'm avoiding additional aggro in mobs.
Poison Dart, so that I can further reduce mob regen. I'm big on being able to solo AVs. -
Personally, I like Siege's new powers. I'd like to fire GIANT F'N SPACE LAZORS with my NW every 30 seconds, because nukes are boring.
-
Quote:Personally, I've never actually seen the power activate when I build up, which is what I've got it slotted in. I just assumed that it increased the base time that Build Up lasts. I've noticed the Gaussian icon on my active power list in PvP, but not a single time in PvE.It isn't that complicated. In Tactics, it will on average go off every 200 seconds. Since it lasts less than 10 seconds, that average will stay the same whether it procs or not. It lasts 5.25 seconds, so on average it's going to be active 2.6% of the time.
That's an average damage buff of 2.6% and ToHit of 1%.
For Build Up, it's going to be significantly less. Even on a high recharge build which can Build Up say every 25 seconds, you're talking about less than half the average increase, that is about a 1% overall increase in damage (on average). With standard recharge, it's about 0.5%
So the "analysis" says to put it in Tactics. The real world disagrees though. Because in Tactics, that "average" could be realized when you're not attacking. It could be realized when you fire off two weak ST attacks and nothing else.
With Build Up the damage is always realized when you're Building Up ... either to quickly drop a single target or to dish out as much AoE damage as possible in a short order of time.
So yeah, you're talking about 1/2 to 1/4th the possible "average damage increase over time," but the reality is that damage increase will virtually always be better timed and is substantially more effective in game. So the reality is the average damage increase is much much better in Build Up.
You're also talking about pennies. The 2% (at most) increase you get from using it in Tactics is not worth the horrendous draw backs.
So,
is very wrong. -
1 and 1/2 hours, back when glowies could appear inside the walls of the Cap SF often. By then, I had already given up, but they at least got the fix in sometime that week.
As for the shortest, it was 5 minutes, in order to fix the RSF scientist. -

I made a SoA with the sole intention of branching, instead of playing a build that is in my opinion, sub-par to the branched roles. Quite frankly, if I ever found enjoyment out of it, I wouldn't be like some people and make a whole new character, because I don't want to play an AT more than once with the same powers.

Quote:When this happened to my team, we actually wanted to test this on our poor, little corrupter. Time to do some flashback testing or something, so I can see if you actually get any benefit out of it. (Or we could just bold-faced lie like the above):-D Okay that sounds like a plan. Now to REALLY speed it along let's also start a rumor that we've found a way to exploit it and FARM the missions this occurs in for added XP, INF, Salvage and Recipes. Oh Oh and its also dropping tip missions left and right along with rare purple recipes ... and pizza.
[SPECIAL ALERT.. FOR ALL THOSE THAT TEND TO READ THROUGH ANY POST AND ONLY SEE WHAT THEY WANT THE ABOVE COMMENT IS COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS HUMOR/SARCASM AND THERE ARE NO XP OR PURPLE RECIPE EXPLOITS ASSOCIATED WITH GLITCHED MISSIONS THAT ALLOW TEAM MATES TO ATTACK AND DEFEAT EACH OTHER. FOR THOSE THAT ONLY SEE WHAT THEY WANT AND NEVER BOTHER TO READ ANYTHING ELSE.. I'M SORRY, SO JUST HOW BAD WAS THE MISSION YOU JUST SUFFERED THROUGH BEFORE COMING BACK HERE TO SEE WHAT I ACTUALLY WROTE?] lol -
Quote:I'm going to agree with everything, except part of the 3rd statement.1. Why take Medicine when you can KILL STUFF HARDER? Seriously, there are so many good powers, and no room for aid self.
2. No, but everything will be dead by the time you run out of endurance
3. I've seen widows do some amazing things to those rikti pylons, so I guess they could solo AVs. Farming, possibly, the Fortunata and the Crab Spider put out some level of AoE I guess, but they couldn't farm on their own.
Killing an AV really depends on the AV. For instance, I could solo Ice Mistral or Statesman, but I stand no chance against AVs with ridiculous HP regen or accuracy. Dr. Aeon, for instance, is the bane to my Night Widow in the Statesman TF, primarily because he has some type of auto-hit or accuracy buff that can hit hardcapped defense. (Possibly that strike thing or w/e, but I think that only affects players) I can tank Mako and Night Widow combined, but taking down Mako would require him being alone and I having an inventory of small greens, for when he gets in a hit, and reds.
Farming is to a degree possible, even on a Night Widow. I regularly solo mobs in an SF/TF. (I reached near perma-Elude before a CoP on Sunday. Rech bonus needed was 345%. I had 316.25% with 3 LoTG set pieces and 3 Level 53 SO +rech. A 3rd SB, AM, or finishing my LoTG +Rechs would have done it for me.)
