Map Server issues. Im a farmer now!!!

Couple of clarifying questions:
1) Has this been a long-standing issue with this character, or just tonight?
2) What type of mission is it? General content? Newspaper? Mayhem? Tip or Morality?
3) On the off chance that it's an issue with the mission itself, have you tried auto-completing it, or doing other missions?
4) I respect your desire to avoid saddling a team with your issue, but if you let them know "Hey, I've got this issue and might disconnect unexpectedly, can you help me try to finish this darn thing?" you might be pleasantly surprised at others' willingness to help. This game is generally cool that way.

1) This has been a long standing issue with every character, all the time, anytime.
2) This seems to happen in any mission. Im running a loyalist and a resistance member. I do all sorts of missions for my arcs and other peoples, but the mapserver disconnect does not seem to care. It just does it.
3) I plan on attempting to Autocomplete the mission, however this is a really fun mission and it's a shame to auto-complete it. I mean, when Im doing it it's a blast. I love it until I disconnect.
4) actually...I have only ever played on Virtue, but if I take that experience and stick it to the other servers, then I can completely say that I know they would understand. This community is really good...and coming from AOC (Well returning to this game after a long break) I can see that it is prolly one of the best communities.
Im still trouble shooting though. Making sure things are all up to date. If push comes to shove Ill contact support. They have been good in the past for helping me.

Oh, and is your router wired or wireless? If wireless, can you connect with a cable for testing purposes?

I'd also suggest test-plying new characters on different servers. If you continue to see the same issue, it's much more likely that it is a local issue of some kind; PC, router, connection and/or ISP.
Re: Being told by the ISP that there are no issues, an ISP as a whole can also have issues connecting to certain sites and not necessarily realize it, since they don't have an easy way of seeing if they can connect to the ENTIRE internet at any given time. I used to work at a domain name and hosting service provider, and both Comcast and Cox would occasionally lose connection to us. Wasn't anything we could fix, we would just let them know and they'd generally get it straightened out in short order. Best way to test this: see if any other local CoH players with the same ISP are having similar issues.
Not likely, but possible.

Im connected directly to the router. I have completed the same mission I was having issues with. By using my invisibility power to bypass some of the ghouls in the tunnels.
Then I was stable for like hours. So Im not sure if it's a time thing.
Im going to try a different server to test this out, but from what I am hearing on global chat this has been happening to others as well.
Oh I also "Just in case" updated the drivers for the router, rebooted it, and also updated the firmware (I dont know what that is, but I was told I should)
Hopefully I can figure something else out. Ill check back with my ISP tommorow

I've been having trouble on Freedom lately with my WRT54Gv8 more so than before, but it has always been buggy and dropping connections. It is either about to die, or the server load is causing more trouble on my end and their end.
Well. I have isolated the issue to a pattern. It's the underground tunnels that give me the issue. The rest of everything is fine. The router seems good and I have been trying to note things.
It just seems it's the tunnels, especially escort missions
Nah...it's just happening all the time. I am wondering if I should give up. Im not angry about it, just find it frustrating.

Im not sure what else to do. So I thought you fab people might help me out.
I am on Virtue and I am map servering like crazy.
I have been farming a mission (Im not really a farmer, just a forced one)
for a good 2 hours because I get near the end and I get map server connection lost and poof, Im back to the login screen.
I have called my ISP, and they say nothing is wrong. The router is up to date and so are all my drivers. I have changed the virtual memory as per instructions on the NCsoft support page and even lowered my settings to ensure that the game is running for quality.
My router might be the issue, but I have never had an issue with it for any other game or anything at all really.
Is this a common thing. Are others out there having issues with it.
I dont want to team with people with my Rad/Dark Corr because sometimes I am the only healer and I feel like I let them down because I disconnect and they dont have a healer.
So I have been soloing most of the content. Im not 100% complaining because now my illusionist is decked out with some great equipment and inventions. Im just concerned that she will never finish this mission and Ill be doing it for eternity!
