  1. Ramiel says that the slots will open when Incarnates trials become accessible. I'd have to assume i20 is when we'll see both the end-Alpha and initial or full Judgement, seeing as it is an AoE power and not a slot.

We'll probably get to pick a side in the war in the near future in order to take Praetoria down from the inside or become a Loyalist Praetorian. Seeing as Maelstrom did, it is quite likely that we'll get to.

the best you can do is get 3 merits every two days but it's a good week if I can average even close to 1 per day. so I wouldn't be rushing to the top of the incarnate list any time soon. but it would certainly provide a lot more options and enjoyment to this part of the game.

as it stands now, I totally agree with the OP. farming for 150 Vanguard merits will take way too long and be way too boring as the only solo option to obtain Incarnate items.
A VERY similar thread is in the Open Beta discussion, but I'll continue a little bit here.

A single ITF for 1 common component plus at a minimum 2 shards is rougly 30 minutes. In the time you took to fight "several hundred foes", you could have run an ITF.

An RWZ raid takes roughly 45 minutes, if you stay until the shields come back. You could even enter the zone right after shields drop to avoid the time it takes to kill pylons.

While I do like the idea of getting shards from completing story arcs at level 50 or the likes, the current system has no reason to have such a change occur.

So, the question is, if in the future I decided I wanted to switch paths, would I be able to do something like break down my uncommon boost to make the alternate uncommon or would I need to start over from scratch to go into the other branch?
Crafting of the uncommon tier uses up the common, so you'll have to craft another common to take another route.

You'll have more than enough time and shards to have more branches started by the time the change hits, so don't worry yourself about it.

What I really want to do is perma hasten but I have like no clue as to how much recharge its going to take.
Perma Hasten is about 180% recharge when 3 slotted. 168% or so with 4 slots.

Mind Link is NOT affected by Spiritual, and I've yet to get the 2nd tier Cardiac to test the Dmg Resistance boost effect.

Agreed. Almost all the story arcs in this game are tailored to have some kind of final nemesis behind everything. (It's all a Nemesis plot.)

I know some people hate the Void Seekers awaiting Kheldians. I find it interesting that they have a specific hunter yet we don't. This is not cool to me. So I am definitely going to suggest it to the devs. I would hope others would too.

It's a feature that most people didn't like from the Khelds.

More than likely will not happen.
  8. If you want your purple drop rate to increase, you have to /em calculate. Wait for the precise moment when the millisecond timer and your ping on the computer syncs perfectly with the server. From there, /em filelawsuitagainstarachnos and hope for the best.

    /sarcasm

Had to do it. Honestly though, I got 3 purples 2 days in a row. I've not seen a purple drop since the initial Closed Beta testing of the IOs. The best I've gotten since then was a respec recipe, 3 days after the live release, then I hadn't seen anything of the sort since.

So, Black Scorpion and Tim Sweeney need to get their act together and come up with a straight answer.*

I'm sure the design limitations would cause a whole re-write of the Super Sidekicking system, since it grants the powers that are +5 to your level, assuming you aren't at a higher difficulty. It's also something that I'm not inclined to wait on, since I'd much rather just have bugs that matter worked out.

Not to be the self-centered slime ball, but I don't care about how the HEATs and Doms feel about losing a power or two. (Especially since the Dom one is probably related to a dialog change, since the power description was still very villainous on heroside. Perhaps taking it off the bar then adding it back to power tray from the power menu will fix it?) My VEAT works just fine and that's all that matters to me. :P

  12. Wait, you didn't 6-slot Brawl? What are you doing? That power is so OP, especially in PvP.
  13. My Fort/NW hands down. It's the only character I'm devoted to playing more than a few hours, and I would love some of that delicious recharge and resistance buffage.

Plus when Judgement is out, I'm going to need my "Hammer" to stack with Psychic Wail stun.

My only issue with it all is: why give us an accuracy focus when folks slot accuracy naturally already. There aren't many IO sets that neglect accuracy and a great many IO set bonuses that give accuracy along side other bonuses that we wany anyways. I fear that Incarnate content will feature enemies that are neigh impossible to hit without choosing Accuracy for our Incarnate slot.
Do I forsee a Widow having hard-capped resistance (From +Specials) due to the Alpha Slot buff?

Anywho, Spiritual Core Paragon is what I'm looking at on my Fortunata with the 45% recharge, and Healing + Stun by 33%. That way, I have faster recharging Psychic Wail (Armageddon doesn't cut it, lol) and some additional stun for the Psychic Wail. Spiritual Radial Paragon is a possible slot for teams, since I can give a 20% To-Hit and such. Possibly the use of Nerve Radial Paragon.
  15. Best way to fix it now is a TP or Ouro Portal.

Pray that you have Pocket D VIP TP or the likes.

A way I have found to fix the bug for me, is to log onto an alt from another server, then log back out, then on to Freedom.

I mentioned the same thing earlier. I'm just assuming it is WAI, like our "extra" costume slot and such.

  19. Great work you have going there. I wish I had more time and altitis to run like this. I was cured of my altism after making my first 50 as a Storm/Dark Defender, then at i13 discovering that I'm addicted to my Widow.

I'd be inclined to just save for purples to finish my 2 1/5 of 5 sets, if I was going to be getting Hero Merits like you are. Might have to run some of those blueside arcs and run TFs more to finish my out some of my non-purples like LoTGs and HO Membranes.

I can't wait to finish slotting, so I can solo the redside respec for merits.

Me and a couple friends also figured the Rikti event starting this week was just a distraction to get everyone's mind off i19(Possibly the best issue evarr) for awhile, guess it didn't work haha .
Looking at the charts after i10, it seems that we always have a Rikti invasion not long before a patch is out.

    For example:
    04/18/2008 - Rikti Invasion Returns (ended 04/24/2008)
    05/20/2008 - Issue 12 released
    or
    11/14/2008 - Rikti Invasion Returns (ended 11/20/2008)
    12/02/2008 - Issue 13 released

I'd say the 2nd is the earliest we'll be seeing i19, with the Open Beta likely starting during the invasion.

    Edit:
I just took another run through various lvl foes and recorded the numbers:

I didn't find any minions with only 80 Endurance, but it looks like there is some slight variation at the lower levels, so anything is certainly possible. Either way, the point stands. LTs and Bosses have significantly higher Endurance than players do, and EB/Monsters even moreso. I think we can all agree that Minion Endurance is kinda silly to worry about because you could usually kill it faster than it would take you to sap it's Endurance down to nothing anyway. lol
With this is mind, what is AV/GM endurance and average recovery rate? Also, what is the inherent EB/AV/GM ability linked as in-game? I was around when it was introduced, but I'd like to see the link for it in-game, since I never saw an actual name for it. I can't see your photobucket picture do to blocked access currently, if the mentioned information is there.

Just because I said it was ready as of yesterday does not mean it could not have been ready earlier as well.
My bad. I realized that I hadn't read the part in your post about previous booster being delayed. I was unaware of that, as I usually haven't been around enough to care or notice that there was such a delay.

Honestly though, I'd have to think they could at least be testing these kind of things with the web team and the department that created the system (Which is Korean, if I had to guess from previous chats with developers) for generating codes weeks in advanced, and learned from previous mistakes.

They probably just want to try to make sure there will be no reason to whine about it tomorrow.
The code has been ready since at least last Friday, since I know myself and several others on Freedom have access to it from Twitter and costume contest codes.

Your new to the game again, so I don't expect you to know the names of the farms, although the mechanic has existed for a while and logic would say the obvious....

Those farms are called "Ambush" farms for a reason. Ambushes will attack anyone in the previous area where the ambush was triggered, unless the player can move away quickly enough from the affected area. As for the moving part, yes, I've done it many times when solo, and I'm sure you have too without realizing it.

The mechanic involving buffing in my experience without the use of actual game mechanics, is that an enemy deems you as a threat, because you are increasing the surviveability of your team. AION & Guild Wars had a system for heal enmity, and I would be shocked if the mechanic didn't exist here. (NCSoft shifts designers around. I've spoken to an AION developer during a test server meet-up, who helped code the skill mechanics for Assassins on Guild Wars.)
