Yeah, I do like the idea of Mez Protection being the inherent. Changes things up on the inherent, while giving Sonic and FF greater mez protection. I'd say 6-7 on the Mez Protection would be good.

Tom has a fight in the beginning, a chase scenes, stunt scenes, and a fight seen at the end, and a minor little fight scene with one of his agents (real quick).
The humor in it is great imo.
The only bad part of the movie, is the main villain didn't get enough screen time.
I wouldn't let Tom Cruise's off screen antics stop you from watching the movie. It's a good movie, and his antics aren't really worse than any other star's antics, and Tom Cruise at least seems to take his acting seriously. -

Positron's Blast and Ragnorok...what's wrong with these two sets? It also gives a melee set the option to slot another damage purple set...3 versus the usual 2.
-
Could they make it so group Fly just granted a temp power to all around that allowed them to fly like the praetorian hamidon event?
-
You know, I'd love an Alpha slot ability that granted more Mez Protection as you worked up the tree, so my squishies can have mez protection without going with Clarion.
-
I wouldn't worry to much about having a shield powerset in this AT. If people want the shield AT they can make a shield defense toon out of a Scrapper/Brute/Tanker.
Going Melee/Buff-Debuff AT, I'd just go with the idea of pairing melee sets with the various Buff-Debuff sets.
As for Sonic and Force Fields Mez Protection, Id buff them up to bethe most powerful mez protection in this ATs arsenal, while giving the other sets weaker (but still effective...so not as strong as Scrappers/Stalker/Brutes but passable) mez protection, and possibly no sleep protection (which Force Field and Sonic would likely now have) in either one of their powers or in a replacement power.
Cold Domination could have the mez protection in it's stealth power, as could Dark and Storm, while Radiation, Empathy, ect would lose one of their powers for the Mez Protection toggle. -
Quote:It's an AOE that's targeted around the target of the attack and not an AOE based around the player's avatar (ie PBAOE).Thanks for the replies! So let me get this straight - it takes targeted aoe sets because it is targeted (verses point blank) and is an AoE (verses a cone).
Well of all the stupid, literal logic. Going by that rationale Electron Haze and Fire Breath should accept PBAoE sets because they're cones like Shadow Maul.
::shrug::
So, not exactly. Personally, I think the problem is more in line with people don't care for the Targetted AOE sets and less with what set the attack takes

Quote:If you went ELA, you'd have had even more slow resistI'm kinda glad it's targeted AoE on my Scrapper. Gonna make use of that to slot Javelin Volley for some more Slow Resistance, to go wth Quickness and Winter's Gift and JV in ancillary pools. It's an expensive little trick, but idea of dancing back and forth on Caltrop fields while kicking Knives of Artemis in the head gives me giggles.

Quote:I'd do something akin to this, but likely more extreme.I'd roll Kings Row into Skyway for a single gritty urban wasteland zone, roll Talos and Striga into one zone, with the ferry being a fast link between the 2 islands if you didn't want to travel the full distance across the sea, roll Independence Port and Terra Volta into one zone, split like Faultline is with the dam to reduce the size of the port part of the zone, roll Eden and the Hive into one zone, but with more emphasis on the changes made by the DE, so progress from the ruins of Eden to the Hamidon valley would be more dramatic, like the changes on the way through the UG Trial - Atlas Park, Steel Canyon, Boomtown, Perez Park, the Hollows, Croatoa, Crey's Folly, Founder's Falls, Peregrine Island, RWZ, Cimerora and Ouroboros are all ok as spearate zones - along with Dark Astoria

Brickstown is a bit of a problem, as it's another gritty urban zone - so it could be rolled into Kings Row instead of Skyway - rolling Brickstown and Skyway into one zone wouldn't work, as the huge visual impact of the Zig would be lost among all the freeway bridges.
The vast size of the Shadow Shard could also be fixed by rolling it all into one ginormous zone, with different areas of it having the look of the 4 current zones, to add more variety.
Praetoria's fine the way it is - and red side is probably fine the way it it so too
EDIT: Also, I'd roll the 2 sewer networks into one zone, and make the middle area the abandoned part, with the outer parts of the zone the normal sewer network - the abandoned part would be much darker and creepier.
It might be better to have multiple HUGE zones that are their own cities, and not small sections of a city that's walled off from each other. -
Actually, I thought turning the Blaster into a Range/Defense AT, with low hit points (think stalker), but make it so their AOE attacks are high damage, while they're ST are weaker then the other melee ATs.
Make it so the melee's are more ST boss killers, while Blasters are more the lawnmower.
Now obviously there would be some sets to switch this about like melee already has. And sadly way to far into the game for this, but maybe in CoH2!
This isn't to say give them terrible ST damage either. Just that would be the seperation between melee and blast. Boss killers and lawnmowers! Blasters would still do decent ST damage, just wouldn't be high as melee.
But like I said, to far into it for that sort of change. -
I'd switch it up to melee first and buff/debuff second. Make them a bit higher on the damage mod.
Then I'd switch out one of the buff/debuff powers for a mez protection power, or the AT will really feel the suckie for being in melee. -

Loved the..."...and tell me I'm pretty. BECAUSE I AM!"

Dont they have Jack the Rippers skeleton in the MAGI section of City Hall?
I don't recall. -
Quote:I was always under the impression they just needed a hero name for you to go by, or your real name if you chose to use that (as some people just use the real name). Is there any chance in Hades of getting a red name's feedback on this? This being a comic book super hero MMORPG, I've got to say that if this is true, it's got to be my first big disappointment in the game. This game is supposed to be all about freedom of choice, so what lore writer decided it would be a great idea for none of our comic book inspired super heroes to have secret identities? And why did no one at the studio stop them and say, "Hey, that's not a great idea you've got there"?
Not all of my characters keep their identities secret, but comic books are full of stories about the consequences that some super heroes have faced after going public--including stories about everyone in their family ending up dead in a matter of days (or hours). Most importantly, there's the less-fictitious matter of thousands of subscribers not being able to enjoy tradition, that is if they want to adhere to the studio's lore.
Ever since I subscribed, I have made the effort to nestle my characters firmly into the game's lore, but...wow. I can't do it this time.
(Edit/P.S. If you're saying that our characters must register with the FBSA but that other government branches and/or the public aren't privy to that information, then silly me.
That is not an unheard-of situation in comic book universes, and I'm not worried about the FBSA backstabbing any of my characters. Tony Stark caught a lot of flack for his superhuman registration thing, but if "going public" wasn't so "public", and if such a system had been set up over 70 years ago, I guess we'd all be used to it by now.) -
Temporal Armor or just a Positional Defense/Healing+Regen Combo Defensive Power Set.

Quote:Oh I agree that Broadsword could use some new animations, but I dont think that means it needs to put this suggestion on the backburner. The only powerset that I think desperately needs new animations is broad sword. I tried creating a broad sword character after the titan weapons characters, because stalkers can't have titan weapons, and the animations are all so lame. it's like every single ability is the exact same animation of swinging downwards. it's that lame.
If there are any powersets that get the makeover treatment, that needs to be first on the list. Compared to everything else in the game it looks like it's still in the beta stage for animations. And I know that sounds incredibly rude and mean but I'm trying to be honest.
Though, would giving BS some new animations increase it's popularity? -
Quote:Hmmm...I didnt know of this! I find it sad! I must continue to just ignore this for my main. Where only certain heroes know her secret ID.Per the Paragon Wiki's page on the Freedom Phalanx:
(Trying to find the original source material for this, btw - if you know where this is from, let me know.)
So ostensibly, yeah - at least as far as the current roster of seven goes, everyone knows who they are.
*****
As far as the whole 'secret ID' thing goes, only a small number of my characters really worry about that (one, for example, because she's displaced in time by twenty years into her past and doesn't want to distort the timeline).

Because then the general movie going audience would be all "Booooring"
-
Truthfully, the attacks look underslotted, is the Fire Epic in there for concept reasons? Hold is useful to have, but do you need the blast? Also, Id take the ST Blast over Melt Armor, at least one slotted, it can be used for ranged damage on blue mitos.
Id fit in Weave. -
Quote:I thought the review said CoH didnt have a lot of loot, and if loot was what you were looking for, CoH wasn't the game for you.I didn't realize CoX was slow paced compared to other MMOs...or that we have a lot of loot compared...
But yeah, I didn't think CoH felt slow either maybe compared to it's two direct competitors untill you get a higher level build, but compared to the fantasy mmos, no way does it feel slower. -
Quote:There are ways they could imply the violence without actually showing it, allowing the movie to maintain a PG-13, get as many people as possible into the seats, rating, sadly, I don't think that's going to happen with this film.I suppose it has some points for not having any "sparkling vampires" but like you it doesn't seem like it could be -that- good considering it's supposed to be about relatively innocent teenagers out to kill each other. Just how brutal or "realistic" could it actually be without being rated R or worse? I must admit the trailer presents an interesting variation of a dystopian future world set sort of in the mold of The Running Man. I'm just not sure a "group of picture-perfect teens that must fight to the death" scenario is going the best foundation to base such a movie on.
Ultimately I suppose if this does somehow hook the Twilight crowd it'll make a boatload of money regardless.
More so with that fact that the main hero seems to use a bow. Shoot them with an arrow, watch them fall over. No idea how the other contestants will go about killing. -
I was under the impression that none of the Freedom Phalanx had a secret identity, and that a lot of the Vindicators lacked one as well.
