Jack the ripper

Perhaps Midnighters are not in "to do list" but I'm putting this idea here just for fun.

One day I was watching old Sherlock Holmes TV series (it's good) and I got an idea about the same part of history. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_the_Ripper Jack the ripper could be interesting villain to hunt. Perhaps he could be crazy midnighter or something like that. Darkest moment of the Midnight squad's history and they need our help to stop the murderer. Old London could be interesting place to do some missions. Gaslights, beggars, funny helmet policemen, scotland yard and thugs... that kind of things and maybe nictus.

Naturally Jack the ripper is some kind of super powered stalker with very nasty powers. Sneaky - sneaky - slash - slash Perhaps he could look something like this.

My friend said that he looks more like mr Hyde. Maybe

Perhaps as a zone event!
......
In King's Row, night falls. A fog rolls in.
Zone Message: "Jack The Ripper is on the prowl in King's Row."
An EB, similar to the OP's design is in an alley, threatening a female NPC.
Perhaps give him a -Perception type of thing to make it harder for heroes to simply tab-tab-tab from the air.
Maybe at the battle's end, he throws down a smoke down and declares "You've beaten me tonight, but I shall return!" and disappears.
Award a badge and there you go.

But Kings Row is not old London. I was thinking this like a new ITF

edit. that zone event is nice idea too.
edit2. Oh oh ooo... what if... When you complete the Jack the ripper's TF/SF he spawns somewhere in Paragon city or Rogue islands? Resurrecting for revenge
edit. BrandX yes Jack the rippers skeleton is there. Good spotting.

Not sure how we're going to explain to kids playing why the streets are littered with dead hookers.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

"They're just sleeping, Timmy."

"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...

You dont sound very well versed in COX lore to be making suggestions like this I am sorry to say. For starters Jack the ripper predates the founding of the midnighters. Also He was over in england, and the midnighters are an american based organization.

I get what your saying, its always cool to have some special names to hunt but in COX most of those are tyoically big game as well as big name.

Your horse might be a bit too high! (Look at his eyes to check.)

In that vein of thought Cimarora certainly predates the founding of the Midnighters. . . Or does it? (Heh heh heh Time travel paradox rocks!)

Cim is in ancient Greco-Roman amalgamation land, not America. But still, despite all that, why can't Jack's return be in Kings Row? It's a comicbook world and given that, Jack the Ripper would not be out of place at all.

I'm a big fan of Star trek the next generation and I know about everything what is virtually possible to know about time travelling and parallel universes My english is mostly based on Star trek and Stargate so "quantum fluctuation in warp core" is more familiar to me than "can you tell me where is an railway station please". So Jack the ripper is not even close at best time paradoxes and Jacks bones are in Cityhall anyway.

Perhaps Jack's Skeleton was one of the many artifacts to be lost...and he's somehow regenerated and is killing again. Also: When playing this game, I try to practice Bellisario's Maxim. Also also: While I enjoy Star Trek and Stargate, The Doctor's Technobabble defeats all others.

If Masterminds didn't suck, they'd be the most powerful AT in the game.
